Odd question, how are mineral rights in Alaska? Down in Texas the mineral, water, air, and timber rights (depend on location) are nearly always separate from the surface rights. The surface rights are lower on the scale and therefore mineral rights owner, etc are able to come in and modify your property to put on oil wells, etc as they see fit. How are those rights in Alaska? We are considering moving but we are unsure if they are decoupled from the surface, etc. Thanks in advance!
Mineral rights belong to the state, if I recall correctly but I’m pretty light on the nuances. That’s one of the reasons we get the PFD. Of course, you can use the trees, etc on the surface and drill for well water.
most people buy vacation homes in warm southern states
I chose to be different and go with Alaska
Love your new video.👍
Thank you! 😊
