Sorry to hear you're still feeling under the weather but it's great to see another 3D fighter like Soulcalibur VI being shown off. I do recall you mentioning you were a fan of Nier Automata, so the choice of 2B isn't too surprisng. 0:35 - Just didn't feel like stopping the combo there, even though you weren't hitting anything? You're making poor heavy weight Astaroth run after you. 2:06 - A light high kick to tip Astaroth out of the ring; hilarious result! 4:31 - Finishing the battle with a pretty 2B close-up and a stylish finish. Nice going with another 3-round dominant victory. 6:00 - I didn't use 2B much, outside of her fighting style fitting a villainous OC of mine (usually my characters are more fantasy based so the sci-fi weapon style fit my rare sci-fi styled character). I do recall loving this ground-shaking attack though. 7:57 - Love the hover over Groh's low sword swing here. Nicely evaded! 11:25 - Just blitzing your way through Cervantes' Reversal Edge. Nice to see your rapid strikes overwhelm it. 14:26 - It's surprising it took this long to demonstrate 2B's Critical Edge but nice to see. A little overkill as well, both in terms of how 2B just throws out everything in this lengthy finisher and how you were easily besting Taki here in this fight. 18:27 - This match certainly got close; you're having to make quite the comeback here. Also, first time I'm hearing Siegfried's Japanese voice and it does not suit his character in the slightest. Probably a carry-over from this original Soul Edge/Blade design and character. 21:54 - An congratulations on the victory. When you get a 2B combo going, it can just keep going on and on, as you demonstrated many a time.
Yes, that's right, I really like Nier:Automata. I haven't played SCVI for a while and finished a single battle as Seong Mina before recording to learn the button functions. I also switched the language to Japanese, but I actually prefer 2B in her English voice. Namco likes guest characters a lot, but I still find 2B very fitting and I swear, the Critical Edge was pure coincidence. As always, thank you very much for the detailed comments! Really, many thanks.
@@Alicelicious Oooh, will that mean a Seong Mi-na video in future? I ended up maining her in this entry because of my OC (her weapon has a feathered variant that works well as a broom), though she was always one of go-to characters anyway (Kilik, Lizardman, and Seong Mi-na). Given the inclusion of Star Wars characters before, it'd be hard for any guest character to feel unusual in Soulcalibur.
Oh, I've already uploaded several Seong Mi-na (Seung Mina) playthroughs, but I still remember Soul Edge (Soul Blade) very well and there are a whopping 15 videos in the playlist so far. Kilik and Mina are quite similar though, I think. Personally, I've also liked Xianghua a lot since the first SoulCalibur and have actually stuck with these two to this day, oh yeah, plus 2B in SCVI. Oh dear, yes! You're right... I hadn't even thought about the Star Wars guest characters in SCIV. And back then I thought it was weird that Yoshimitsu from Tekken suddenly appeared in SoulCalibur. Ha!
@@Alicelicious I'll have to add those along with the Kasumi videos to check out someday. I like Xianghua as well but I don't think I ever got the hang of her. A liked character but the moveset never clicked as well as I'd have liked. It's kind of funny that the sword wielding Yoshimitsu was first introduced in Tekken rather than Soulcalibur.
The Kasumi videos aren't that spectacular, I think, but at least the PS1 playthrough had an interesting moment against Gen-Fu where a foot sweep didn't even register at all. Well, the first Tekken came out in 1994, while Soul Edge (Soul Blade) didn't come out until 1996, but Yoshimitsu fits in better with the Soul series for sure. I remember being quite good with Xianghua and being able to perform pretty much all her useful moves. It'll be interesting to see if I can still handle her, but right now I can't focus on anything. I know, I was already not doing so well and with the sudden death of my mother, I feel like I've been paralyzed all week. It feels surreal not having parents anymore. I don't have any friends near me or relatives to support me during this tough time either, so I'm probably reacting by repressing things. Somehow I have to get through it now because life goes on. Thank you very much and I'm sorry for replying so late.
