so just to be clear - the context of each ranking, is in regards to the power of the bosses AS WE FIGHT THEM IN-CANON, within the game, correct? NOT, as to their full-strength selves, as they might've been in the distant past (Like with Radahn, Placidusax & Bayle, etc-etc)

Just want to say that the rennala illusion was entirely ranni’s doing. The second phase, she literally says you who disturbs my mother’s despair, now face the queen of the full moon and send word that the queen of Caria is still here in her strength. Rennala didn’t speak at all and was in fact just reaching for the egg. So it ranni who placed that illusion to those who dared attack her mother.

He had an entire army to back him up, plus Rellana (who, if we take a look at Moorth Ruins, can level a village by herself). It's obviously very impressive that he accomplished all of this without a Great Rune, but even with it, I don't think he'd quite reach the heights of Miquella, Malenia or even Radhan.
@@Dutchy4564 Yeah, but they both did much more impressive things by themselves. I prefer him both as a character and as a boss, but putting Bayle that high over Placidusax is crazy when they fought and Bayle LOST. There's no reason to assume Bayle is any stronger now than he was when he challenged Placidusax. The idea that Bayle is using Placidusax's heads to conjure Placidusax's wings is complete headcanon. There's no reason to assume Bayle can't do that on his own when Bayle's wings are clearly different than Placidusax's. Bayle 's wings have the distinct curved talon that all drakes do while Placidusax's do not. Though Bayle's access to flame lightning is noteworthy for sure, it clearly wasn't enough for him to beat Placidusax in the first place. The ancient dragons manipulating humans to fight their race war for them isn't a feat for Bayle or the drakes.
Iirc Bayle was consuming drakes to further increase his strengths and restore what was lost. Whereas Placidusax is sort of stuck in stasis. I’d assume them relatively equal in their respective primes, but not after the fight

His final duty to help his lord find an end in battle. O'neills needle is the one Malenia broke when she unleashed the Rot in Caelid. He found it evidenced by him being at the spot the fight took place.
I'm near the 6 hours mark (just finished The Scadutree Avatar) and I'm constantly amazed by how spot on your lore analysis is. This video is literally the best source of Elden Ring lore, there isn't much wild speculation here, everything is grounded in actual text. Great job!
What I learned from this video: 1. POWAH 2. Bureaucracy 3. Hierarchy 4. Monopoly Awesome vid, your magnum opus. I disagree with some of the latest placements (Tannith does admit that Rykard was "still weak" after we kill him, so I would put him at least below Malenia), but the overall work put into this deserves respect. Waiting for the DLC to drop was worthwhile.
You do well to take pride in your work. This is spectacular on so many levels. Watched it slowly everyday since it came out and every minute was fun. No reminders, nothing. Just craving the video. Hats off.

@@Kratos_1572Agreed, both Midra and Messmer are automatic top 10, and depending on your interpretation you can even push them all the way to top 5. Rykard and Metyr are also way too high, a little bit of scaling actually shows this. Rykard is literally a demigod which automatically means he is weaker than Radahn who is stated to be the strongest demigod by multiple people. Yet, Rykard still ranked above Maliketh? A person who all the demigods including Radahn feared? Midra is an actual lord of frenzied flame, a failed one but still. And Messmer who has Radahn’s rival as his general(who he is therefore automatically stronger than even in just his base form) is literally ranked lower than Morgott. As a reminder Radahn is the strongest demigod meaning he is stronger than Morgott by default. Honestly, Margott vs Gaius on its own is already a tough debate as both scale to Radahn but are both still weaker than him. So logically speaking, even base form Messmer, who literally has Gaius surve him as his general is going to beat Margott at like mid to high difficulty.
i agree about messmer and midra needing to be higher, however regarding rykard this isnt regular demigos rykard, this is the god devouring serpent eiglay who has consumed rykard(a powerful demigod) as well as likely hundreds of mighty tarnished. regular rykard probably would even be top 50
@@arturmagomedov4849your logic makes no sense, you’re taking general statements and making outlandish conclusions. Radahn is stated the mightiest as a reference to his battle prowess, and those who state that don’t even know half the other demigods exist. Morgott defends the capital infinitely, and beat Radahn, he is obviously above Gaius. Messmer and Radahn being rivals in youth doesn’t mean they’re equal at all. Rykard being a demigod doesn’t mean shit, it’s the fact he fed himself to the serpent, that power isn’t reflective of being a demigod at all.
@@vryyyx I think you misread some of the things I said. I literally stated Messmer and Radahn were rivals, it was Gaius and Radahn that were rivals, which shows that they at least operated on the same tier of strength which Messmer scales above even in with his power sealed as he had Gaius as his general, therefore showing he had more power than him. And Morgott is never shown to defeating Radahn and you can’t use the intro cutscene image to prove that he did because we don’t have the context behind it and for all we know he could of just sneak attacked Radahn and then got immediately overpowered by him. And while it is true Morgott repelled Radahn and his army it was most definitely only possible because he had the biggest, oldest army in the Lands Between under his command. On top of that Morgott only had to defend while Radahn was the one attacking, it is pretty common knowledge that defending is much easier than attacking. There are other things I disagree with you on but honestly I am too lazy to name them and I already said everything I wanted to say.
I don't know if I'll be able to finish it but this is amazing. You put tons of effort into this and who knows maybe I'll come back and edit this comment when I finish watching it.

Finally finished the Video! Don't agree with everything but see your reasoning for every single one. Great piece of writing, entertaining and thoughtful! Thank you!
I just finished the vid, the only thing i disagree wth is rykard being over maliketh, the game never states that he was more than capable of killing maliketh and even with the blasphemous claw, he still feared him
thats all rykard before he fed himself to the serpent and consumed a bunch of strong tarnished. og rykard would 100% be below maliketh but this is rykard + god devouring serpent whose been fed for probably centuries
@@Snagavitch Rykard's goal isn't to beat anyone. He's not Godfrey or Radahn. His base instinct right now is to devour as much as he can and grow as much as he can, just like any snake. Like a snake, while he's eating, he's not doing much else. So for now, Rykard is just waiting, growing more powerful with each sacrifice brought to him, but incapable of fulfilling his goal.
Man, what a great video, has some of the most interesting lore interpretations and a great ranking of the bosses, of course, i agree and disagre with some placements but still, one of my favortite videos on elden ring.
Finally finished and wow, that was a great breakdown of... basically everything the lore. That's why I was excited by how you would cover ER since with there being 300+ bosses, you basically would be covering and going through the entirety of ER's lore due to the style of coverage with there ranking videos. I love the fact that you covered that Metyr disappears into the void, rather than dissipating into the air after our battle with her. I have seen hardly anybody bring this up, which is weird because it was the first thing I noticed a few months ago. I feel like that could lead to further plot points in a sequel regarding the Greater Will/Golden Order. Which would be interesting considering our Tarnished from ER1 would have slain basically all the protectors and those aligned with the Golden Order. Again fantastic video and you're the absolute goat for spending I'm sure many, MANY ours compiling, editing, and bringing this all together in such a awesome way
Loved the video i’ve been watching it at work over all my youtube accounts. The amount of detail you put into the video is insane and im sure will be used for reference by many elden ring content creators! one thing of advice i’d say for future videos of this length is Instead of releasing the full 8 hr video, you could have released it in 4 two hour videos or 8 1 hr videos over. All your other ranking videos are 1 to 2 hrs, i’d say keeping them around that range is good. I’ve seen and heard from other creators the super long videos arent the best for youtube’s weird algorithm anymore. All the work you put into this video deserves to be seen by the millions of elden ring fans!
This is absolutely brilliant and inspiring. You’re insightful and you’re love and passion for the games universe really comes through. It’s a privilege to watch your videos. Thank you

The video came out 2 days ago and I already watched all 8 hours of it, every second enticing and entertaining my only complaint is that it’s not longer :)
i do wanna add my personal input, no bias my intent, malenia and radahn stalemated and THEN she bloomed, it was directly stated neither were able to exactly finish off the other "malenia and radahn locked horns in combat" - "the two stalemated, THAN the scarlet flower bloomed" - implying malenia and radahn were at a draw when she bloomed, both matching each other- the trailer CUTS to malenia getting her prosthetic arm cut off, but the fight obviously was not onesided, i must also point out- the trailer has several mistakes, not exactly mistakes but rather it lacks context because it was before the games release, when Malenia fixes her prosthetic arm, thats her seeing Radahn for the first time, and him seeing her, she is wounded and fearlessly fights on also, Malenia's scarlet rot would have killed radahn had his greatrune not burned which greatly confuses me as to why you said he stands greater than her even though we see she is nearly unaffected, waiting for miquella to return at the base of the haligtree because it makes me feel you either are biased or did not deepdive this situation enough, no offense because this video is absolutely amazing and your work here is awesome, next, you refer to Radahn as greater than Malenia multiple times, even calling to Millicents diologue, which is poorly translated, the original diologue was, in the best way to explain it possible, she "abandoned her caution with the scarlet rot" not her pride, also not to meet his measure, ofc you cant perfectly translate japanese to english, also, irrelevant- but CG. World states Malenia was beaten black and blue before her fight with Radahn, and Game Guide states she had a narrow victory over him, in the trailer you can even see her face bleeding from combat before, now finally- you use the stars as a drawing of comparison to malenia holding back the outer god of rot, but the stars have had no confirmation to actually weaken radahn, this is all just my personal observations as someone who also does deepdives into the lore.
I'm not sure it matters, Malenia was put over Radhan in the list anyway, right? It was Radhan's realm that got nuked, Malenia's was more than fine. Malenia fully recovered, Radahn never did. No matter who won the immediate battle, Malenia won the war in almost every way.
This video was a work of art. I literally started watching it the day of it came out and took me almost a week to finish. Really great overview of the lore and you introduced me to some theories I hadnt heard before. Truely a crime how few subscribers you have but its just a matter of time with the quality of your uploads
You asked for it - it's finally here! Peep the description for timestamps. Big Love to you all!
It was a great watch! I see why it took so long😅 For Metyr though, was there a symbolic reason to giving her rank number “0” rather than 1?
so just to be clear - the context of each ranking, is in regards to the power of the bosses AS WE FIGHT THEM IN-CANON, within the game, correct? NOT, as to their full-strength selves, as they might've been in the distant past (Like with Radahn, Placidusax & Bayle, etc-etc)

2. Bureaucracy
3. Hierarchy
4. Monopoly
Awesome vid, your magnum opus. I disagree with some of the latest placements (Tannith does admit that Rykard was "still weak" after we kill him, so I would put him at least below Malenia), but the overall work put into this deserves respect. Waiting for the DLC to drop was worthwhile.
My dude, mad props to you 🍻
You do well to take pride in your work. This is spectacular on so many levels. Watched it slowly everyday since it came out and every minute was fun. No reminders, nothing. Just craving the video. Hats off.
Putting sanguine nobles above fully grown fallingstar beasts and golems is kinda wild. They aint doin ish to those.
So real, carian knight balls does NOT beat a godskin or Elemer or the Flying Dragons either, its crazy how low and high some things are
It’s based on lore not actual gameplay
@@Gaaaarf in lore carian knight balls gets absolutely bodied by a godskin
The only spell he is shown casting is tremendous phalanx and otherwise hes just a regular old troll
Absolutely incomparable to big G
Heavily disagree with some placements but you put too much work and effort into this for me to give you anything but praise.
Ikr. How is morgott being placed over midra. Lore wise it makes no sense. Messmers placement is also bad.
I can’t think of a video that earned a subscribe more than this. All 8 hours done. Subscribed. Thank you. Great work
8 hours, man, subbed just cuz of that
I’ve been waiting for MONTHS for this video and it did not disappoint in the slightest, I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it. I just wanted to comment on it to interact and show the love, seriously looking forward to the next project you put out
8 hours? From this channel? This is like a dream come true
Amazing vid bro absolute peak Elden ring content
By the time I'm at the end of the video, I'm gonna forget who were the weakest, let's go!!!
This is absolutely amazing. Mad respect for the effort and quality put in the video, it really made my week a lot better
Holy god its here, I hope you know that your hard work is appreciated
This needs to be uploaded to spotify, imma have to buy so much data otherwise, ‘cuz this is such a worthwhile listen❤
I started watching this video innocently thinking it could be my last before bed. Then I saw how long it is lmao
Finally finished the Video! Don't agree with everything but see your reasoning for every single one. Great piece of writing, entertaining and thoughtful! Thank you!
Kinda wild Rykard takes, ngl
Yeah I agree pretty wild ngl, he's high but not THAT high
god devouring serpent
stronger than Maliketh??? hell nawwww
I mean Eiglay makes up most of his power
@@LeonidasXRatedHe did send a henchman to take out Maliketh. Doesn't really tell us anything other than that he believed it could be done lol.
Me at 3am:"Alright! time for sleep i have tons of stuff todo tomorrow..."
BeastiaryYT:
I’m 10 seconds in. I’ve liked and subscribed. This is…. A monumental task you’ve completed
Holy smokes now thats a long video. Thank you for your efforts. Hope you'll get bigger!
@@ShadeStormXDif rykard had the strength to topple everyone weaker than him he would have made a move. He wasn’t nearly that powerful yet
@@Snagavitch He doesn't make a move because his only desire right now is to consume.
That was pre big ass godly serpent rykard in hjs serpent form hes clearly above maliketh😊
Man, what a great video, has some of the most interesting lore interpretations and a great ranking of the bosses, of course, i agree and disagre with some placements but still, one of my favortite videos on elden ring.
Your remarks about Metyr definitely solidifies her as the “Ebrietas” of Elden Ring. Lore-wise she’s become one of my favorite bosses in the game.
Again fantastic video and you're the absolute goat for spending I'm sure many, MANY ours compiling, editing, and bringing this all together in such a awesome way
the 8h video would be perfect for a long driving travel session
Man i love your videos so much. I dont even care what you talk about, its just so satisfying listening to your speeches
I remember encountering swordmaster onze and thought bro was just gonna be a regular demi human
Ive been waiting for months... its beautiful
This is absolutely brilliant and inspiring. You’re insightful and you’re love and passion for the games universe really comes through. It’s a privilege to watch your videos. Thank you
8 hours? Holy shit this is going to make my day. Thank you!
I was waiting for you to do this game.
THE MOMENT WE'VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR
I am 100% liking and subscribing just due to the sheer time and effort put into this, not sure if I'll have the time to watch the whole thing but on principle I gotta respect the dedication.
Oh, and stay safe out there friends. Don't you dare go Hollow.
Holy shit 8 hours, you are crazy and o respect
(Sorry for bad english)
This is absolutely genius work!! Really well written, cohesive! It's hard to stop 😅
Are we to expect an NPC video at some point too? I know that's greedy to ask, but your content is just TOO GOOD
The video came out 2 days ago and I already watched all 8 hours of it, every second enticing and entertaining my only complaint is that it’s not longer :)
i do wanna add my personal input, no bias my intent, malenia and radahn stalemated and THEN she bloomed, it was directly stated neither were able to exactly finish off the other "malenia and radahn locked horns in combat" - "the two stalemated, THAN the scarlet flower bloomed" - implying malenia and radahn were at a draw when she bloomed, both matching each other- the trailer CUTS to malenia getting her prosthetic arm cut off, but the fight obviously was not onesided, i must also point out- the trailer has several mistakes, not exactly mistakes but rather it lacks context because it was before the games release, when Malenia fixes her prosthetic arm, thats her seeing Radahn for the first time, and him seeing her, she is wounded and fearlessly fights on also, Malenia's scarlet rot would have killed radahn had his greatrune not burned which greatly confuses me as to why you said he stands greater than her even though we see she is nearly unaffected, waiting for miquella to return at the base of the haligtree because it makes me feel you either are biased or did not deepdive this situation enough, no offense because this video is absolutely amazing and your work here is awesome, next, you refer to Radahn as greater than Malenia multiple times, even calling to Millicents diologue, which is poorly translated, the original diologue was, in the best way to explain it possible, she "abandoned her caution with the scarlet rot" not her pride, also not to meet his measure, ofc you cant perfectly translate japanese to english, also, irrelevant- but CG. World states Malenia was beaten black and blue before her fight with Radahn, and Game Guide states she had a narrow victory over him, in the trailer you can even see her face bleeding from combat before, now finally- you use the stars as a drawing of comparison to malenia holding back the outer god of rot, but the stars have had no confirmation to actually weaken radahn, this is all just my personal observations as someone who also does deepdives into the lore.
good catches on all of this, I was really hoping for a content creator to actually get this lore right for once. one day, i hope.
Cope malenia fan for radahn is him
@@JadenLehman07
They literally just quoted factual information dude
I'm not sure it matters, Malenia was put over Radhan in the list anyway, right? It was Radhan's realm that got nuked, Malenia's was more than fine. Malenia fully recovered, Radahn never did. No matter who won the immediate battle, Malenia won the war in almost every way.
8 hours, man your work and dedication is admirable and inspiring, now time to spend the entire week on this video
This guy needs way more attention
Just watched the whole video and thank you for the great content, I don't think I was bored at any point during this video, really well made!
I JUST FOUND YOUR CHANNEL AND THEN YOU POST AN 8 HOURS VIDEO DAMN
YES! Been waiting on this. Thank you for the great content as always.
8 HOURS??? So this is why it took so long 😭😭😭
This video was a work of art. I literally started watching it the day of it came out and took me almost a week to finish. Really great overview of the lore and you introduced me to some theories I hadnt heard before. Truely a crime how few subscribers you have but its just a matter of time with the quality of your uploads
i'm afraid there won't be any left overs from a FEAST like this
This took weeks of tuning into during work lol ty ty
I love these videos
I’ve been waiting for this video for so long! So exited when I saw this!
Hey what’s the matter this looks like a totally normal ranking video--OH MY GOODNESS (8hrs????)
Metyr as the old god of placidusax is actually genius it makes so much sense
WoW !!! this is amazing.
My body is ready. Time to start a new play-through with this in the background.
8 hours!???!!!??!?!

Absolutely love the understated but powerful plot twist at the end.
8 HOURS??? bro cooked
