I struggled with wanting my house to be as clean as it was before baby at the expense of my relationship with my husband and time with my baby. The best advice I got was from my sister. She said “your house may be clean, but how messy is your life?” Woah, that hit home and changed my perspective.
I loved this longer video from you!!! I am 33 weeks and you answered so many great questions. I felt like I was getting real talk from my older sis! Thanks!!
Loved this video, Victoria! Our baby boys are less than two weeks apart, and my experience was similar to yours in a lot of ways (which makes me think many of the things I was worried weren't normal are really more common than anyone talks about.) NOTHING prepares for you that rude awakening of going from having so much freedom to caring for a baby 24/7. I thought I was prepared because in my head, I knew it would be hard, but I struggled so much for the first few weeks- I felt so guilty for wondering if we had made a mistake! But I feel like as he grows so does our bond, and now I wouldn't go back to our pre-baby life. It's the hardest and best thing in life, and you really only get it once it happens for you. You are a wonderful mom with lots of insight to share, really enjoyed hearing about your experience!
Absolutely love the way you say without any hesitation your life will get easier once they start sleeping longer stretches at night. So many people are convinced it’s somehow unfair on your child to work towards that goal, but I agree with you everyone is healthier and happier once they’re getting more sleep 💛
Motherhood was such a shock at first, but our little one is three months old now and it's amazing. All the sleep deprivation is worth it and we can't wait to have another one. 💛
Your body takes longer to bounce back after your first in my experience! You've done so well. You've taken to Motherhood wonderfully. Thank you for your honesty. It really isn't easy. But it is truly the most rewarding experience.xx
The weight that was released when finally giving in and giving my daughter formula was amazing. I chose not to breastfeed before leaving the hospital because I ended up having D-MER as well as she wouldn’t latch. She eventually got so hungry that as soon as any of my nipple was in her mouth she was trying to eat and by the second day I was already bruised and cracked and bleeding. It’s such a relief to finally let go of expectations as a new mom and accept things as they are. Hard but necessary.
Thanks for posting this! I'm (almost) 20 weeks along with my first baby and this was great to watch - I relate to the whole feeling like you need to do everything concept - I do this now and I know I need to work on it before she gets here
You just remind me how my ribs hurts in last month, it was almost impossible to find any comfortable position. Love how honest you are about this postpartum stage. I’m nearly 7 months pp and my experience is so similar like yours x
Thank you for sharing! Loved the ending of the video when you were talking about the first few days of having a newborn and being in awe♥️ Did you plan on coordinating your phone case and outfit? They are spot on!
The pace of the video is so fast, and you talk about each question briefly without elaborating. I can take that as a sign motherhood is not fun at all.

That's a good one!
Love your makeup! Can you tell us what did you use or make a video about it! It’s so pretty!!!

Couldn't agree more.

Thank you for this video ! My husband and I are planning on trying for a baby and this video was great !!
Mental load for mammas must be so so heavy sometimes... I don't have kids but feel it a lot.. Can't imagine when you take care of a little one.
I love all this. Thank you for making this. :)
LOVED this video!! xx

"Sending our baby to the nursery is selfish"
what?? Bro, this world really loves when women suffer.

I just wanted to cover as much as possible. I love motherhood, but to each their own.
