OMG I am so grateful for this video, here in Germany you never ever her of singapurian bank stocks or any stocks
Glad it was helpful!
UOB is united Overseas Bank right?
Yes
Ma´am do singaporian stocks ask for specific taxes? for example my french stocks want 30% Quellensteuer aditionally to what we have to pay in Germany on taxes on the dividend
No tax on dividend income, lucky Singaporeans.
Memo: DBS has share buyback programms
That’s right
When you wanna talk about dividends for DBS dont forget to include the bonus they gave if you want to make a fair comparision. Cause the other 2 banks did not give any bonus. Leaving it out paints a very different picture. Present things with all the facts dont just pick and choose.
But on a seperate note. out of the 3 bank i prefer DBS firstly, cause they have payouts 4 times a year. which makes it eaiser to do compounding of the paids to but more shares. secondly, is that in recent years they have been giving bonuses
Yep that’s a good point. You seem to be quite experienced in investing.
DBS is the only one that give bonus shares this year, not a usual practice, and of course this makes difference to shareholders as we get additional 10 shares for each 100 shares, and means more dividend income.
I started with UOB stocks due to its lower price years ago, but I think it is worth to invest more in DBS.
Would you hold the stocks for long-term? 🧐Given the price has already appreciated by 40% in this year
