Have this exact rig (MG800, 2 12-3s) love it. Nice and light, any tone you want, although, it's nice to run everything neutral and hear your bass. The dispersion is amazing.

I still have my Genz Benz Shuttle Max 6.0 I bought back in 2010. Absolutely love it and will never sell it, too many good memories. Glad to see Jeff's amps still sound fantastic!
How would you compare your shuttle 6 vs the Magellan? I watched a video with both and the Magellan seemed deeper and more robust without loosing any of the clean quality of the Shuttle 6. Has this been your take, as well?
@@lincolnadams83 The Magellan is without a doubt warmer than my Shuttle. From this video, I can hear more low mids too. Using the solid state portion of the amp, I would describe the Shuttle as very modern sounding - more treble/openness up top and high mids - than the Magellan. The tube portion is definitely warmer once you add some gain and volume match, but even that has more treble than some of the other tube amps I've heard in person. For what it's worth, I play a Sterling HH strung with DR Sunbeams, so a pretty mid-forward string overall.
Seriously the best Class D amp made, period. It’s power amp seems to be very conservatively rated as well and I would guess that it’s actually closer to 1,000 watts RMS. Extremely loud and sounds amazing at higher volumes staying very clean with no loss of the fundamental lows or distortion. I was torn between the EBS Reidmar, Darkglass 900 and the Genzler, until I was able to really put all three through their paces and the Magellan was at the top in every category including the build quality. I just don’t know of many amps at any price that can touch it. The D.I. Is a really great professional onboard unit making the need for my Radial obsolete, even in the studio and I always have a great signal to the FOH if needed. I’m hoping to get some of the line array cabs soon and run two slants and a straight in the center to get the full dispersement of the speakers and run it at 2ohms. Don’t take my word for it though and go check one out and see for yourself just how good it really is.

i love these cabs but still love my genz benz cabs too
Got a Genz-Benz Shuttle Max 9.2. Owning it since 2013. It went through hell and back and still works perfect. The only issues appear when the supplied voltage drops under ~210V. It will stop the output on the cabs but the DI still sends signal to the FOH.
I owned a SWR super redhead, a Markbass MM 60w combo (that thing is loud) and played thru EBS bass amps. Then to find out one of my favorite bassist Mel Brown uses Genzler amps and loves the hell out of them. After listening to his recordings I can see why. Very nice detail. I’m gonna take a real closer look @ these amps. Especially the M300 head.🤨🎶👍🏾

I'd love to hear you guys demo the GK Fusion 800S. I'm debating between the Genzler and GK.
Currently thinking about a live rig. The Magellan is certainly up there but I'm still pondering the Aguilar Tone Hammer. I would love to see a shootout between those two amps, since I don't have the chance to test those side by side. The versatility of the Magellan seems to be its selling point, being able to dial in a lot of different tones is great for different styles of music, the Tone Hammer sounds really great for some of the more jazzy stuff. I've heard you can get a creamy tone that's comparable to the Tone Hammer out of the Magellan but haven't heard a demo of that. Really conflicted here… Gregor plz halp? If anyone has any experience with both heads, I'd love to hear your thoughts.
Which Genzler array speaker would you suggest to match a 450 watt @ 4 ohmamp to be upgraded later with to a Genzler class d amp and possibly extra cab?
i like this ,......but if u put 2 cabinets u put it that the reflex part to touch?......or is just me?
Currently running a Genz-Benz GBE 600 which I imagine is voiced similarly to the newer class D Magellan range through an Aguilar db 112 cab. It’s great for band practice and the tone is nice and warm, but with a full band it lacks some clarity and punch and the setup doesn’t move enough air. When pushed hard to compete with two guitars, keys and drums it starts getting harsh. Looking to add a second cab. Not sure if I should add a 2x10 or another 1x12 like this genzler array. Seems like this is voiced pretty clear and punchy without being too “hifi”. Wish I could try them out but will likely have to buy sight unseen. Anyone have thoughts? Ideal tone is warm, with some low mid punch and enough clarity to hear upper mids but nothing “zingy”.
btw it sounds very very close to my Genz Benz Shuttlemax 12.0

@@jeffgenzler299 I still use my Shuttlemax 9.2 and it just slays any cab I run to it. It and my 1288 make an insane combo! Thick, articulate, crispy, punchy, you name it, i will do it and with authority. Thank you for making some great equipment JG. I just wish I could find another 1288!
