#1 why is mobility so low on the rebuild? #2 Are you sacrificing mobility for storage? And if so will reducing storage, and therefore mass, increase mobility? I like the design but don't like that one drawback.
Can you put the part list so that we know what parts we will need to purchase and did you make this at your outpost landing pad or which ship builder or dock was this made at?
I like your process, but unfortunately, I couldn't stand the fact of how tall it was. I ended up redesigning it to be shorter in height and shorter in length by removing mostly 1 tank, and many of the bracer pieces.
You’re spot on, much too tall to be an attractive design. You were also able to keep the overall feel of the original kepler somewhat intact. Great redesign!

I want to do that. I sat down and was ready to go and I can't find that Stroud Cowling 1LB-SB. I went to Neon and my landing pads. I am level 96 and Starship design level 4. What am I missing?
keep flipping the cowling, or swap to the variant of the same piece, stroud shipyard might have the parts if no where else does cant remember if they sell there tho
@@higgitydiggity317 thanks for the reply. There are only 2 of those cowlings with Stroud. They each only have 2 slots. But I'm sure that they are somewhere, I've watched your video. I spent all day Sunday flying from ship vendor to ship vendor to get the Renegade 3. I may do the same next Sunday to try and find the parts. I'm on Xbox, if that matters

I tried building from my outpost ship builder, but I couldn't get the Nova landing gear from there. Edited to add: It took me a moment to realize the Taiyo parts you were using were just for the look, not function, so I used similar parts of theirs. Decided to just use the original cockpit and a leftover 1x1 to serve the same function as the kontiki cockpit. Toyed with the idea of using a Deimos Ares cockpit, but it seemed a bit much. It might have been cogent to preface the video with a notation of the additional credits needed to follow along. Going into this, I thought it would be a rearrangement of the parts that are already there, since you said that the interior looked the same. Nevertheless, thank you for the video.
It's five decks tall with the top two decks being pretty useless. The ladders run right through the captain's quarters to get to the bridge. A ladder also runs right beside the captain's table during dinner time. It 's asymmetric and ugly. It drives like a bathtub. It has subpar weapons and too many fuel tanks. It's a mess and it's supposed to be that way because this thing is really supposed to be A PROJECT.
@@Mad_Dog-by2nl Engine upgrades and remove some of the mass. Those engines aren't bad though I prefer the Slayton ones that become available through Walter's first quest. I think they are the 4300 series available only through Stroud-Eklund.

The Kepler R is an UGLY ship. People shit on the Kepler S, but the design and interior set-up is MUCH better. This is a decent redesign of the Kepler R, tho.

You have to use the button for “Nect variant” find 1LA cowling in the ship builder and then variant button it to find the 1LB variant

I ended up remodeling a crimson fleet wight instead. Super easy to turn it into a powerhouse and I prefer the nova galactic habs.

The ship building aspect is way over my head as a simple gamer. I kinda feel like I was left to just figure shit out.
Adore the look but that mobility will get you disabled and blown up really quick.
I was really excited looking at that exterior. It looks great. And then...interior is the same as the original. Sigh.

You unlock some of the best Class C engines in the game by completing the quest. That's why I didn't do the S.
The purpose of the ship is not for you to get one. It is to make Walter and the company money by having people want to buy it.
This does not look like the one I got...
