Stuart, I have never heard this track before, so thank you for bring this to our attention. It resonate with me personally on two specific levels one of circumstance and one of self perception. In some ways this is a difficult song to listen to. It reflects such deep emotional and physical scars. The destruction of self as a way to cover up or cut out the destruction caused by another. The way Katie rebuilt from the inside out or ground up. She knows home is where the heart is - where the mind and body connection resonates with self compassion; and where respect, self loving kindness, honesty and care is. Feeling lost in one’s own body however, that occurs is a real challenge to overcome. It is, in reality in this life, not something we can escape from; although many try. The aspects of self harm, eating disorders, elective surgery, disguise only go so far to help or hinder the process of coming to terms and peace with the self, but realistically we can only do this through the mind and coming to terms with and nurturing our own self perception.

You should definitely consider reacting to Lorna Shore’s Pain Remains album especially the trilogy. Would love to have your perspective of it!
