From Quake 1's release to maybe around 2012 there were crazy multiplayer fps games dropping every few months and now it's all live service Battle Royale or hero shooter slop.
I actually prefer when Star Wars games use their own music. Back when there were a lot of console Star Wars games, all you would hear are the same songs over and over.
Jedi Outcast and Academy did it right imo, yes they used music from the movies but the guy who was responsible for arranging it mixed and matched stuff from different pieces so that it wasn't just the movie music verbatim

A shame that Lucas retconned it for some reason
It was never the official sequel,it was the back up in case the movie didn't do as well in order make a sequel movie that would help progress the story. My lil' Star Wars club had a book reading of it,fun stuff,but since the movie did great,they just went straight into The Empire Strikes Back instead. One also needs to remember that the original three movies were actually one whole script,but Lucas decided that no one would ever want to make a movie that long,so he split into three before pitching it.
I actually disagree with you pretty strongly on the point of the games having their own original soundtracks being a bad thing. I absolutely prefer letting composers flex their creative muscles over just copy-pasting the same movie scores over and over and over, like basically every Star Wars game pre-Disney. I think it's actually one of the biggest strengths of the new games.

So far balancing patches have been good, new maps are introduced (for free), hunters are added to the free path, there are more decent free skins too. And honestly, the creativity in the skins is pretty nice. As a Star Wars fan, seeing the references to lore both main stream and not is really pretty fun, even when it’s stupid
If you can ignore the microtransaction bs its a pretty fun game to play... its also ridiculously grindy... and SUPER sweaty if you play ranked mode. Juat play it casually once a week and youll have a great time
Mobile games could've been a renaissance for introductory games, to get people into the hobby. An indie wonderland of new interesting ideas and ways of playing games. Instead it's a place to get scammed out of money and I hate it.
The core concept of a Star Wars Hero Shooter with a cast of zany characters is probably fine. The issue is that it was subjected to live service gaming.
Out of the games shown in that showcase, that's the one that I fear will be bad, doom, safe bet its gonna be good. Gears, good trailer and good reveal, fable, looks okay, but that one looks rough.
Well, Han Singular is unremarkable. And the Singularity is a failure, fitting for the game itself I say. It’s all a shenanigans show on the Laser Moon for Imperium to exploit the children, bring more damage to local culture communities.

Tbh the game is kinda fun. I play on switch and you can get it for that and it is the least laggy online shooter that exists for the switch. I just wish there were less popups to try to get me to buy stuff lol
I mean they’re paying for cosmetics. There’s no real game breaking micro transactions here. Even the battle pass Mandalorian character isn’t even that strong and fairly balanced with the other hunters

My favorite part about the game is that they were so preoccupied with making dozens of skins for each character that they somehow forgot descriptions for like half of them. most of the skins have the same description.
I've been playing it. I like it. It's a mobile game on Switch. But it's pretty cool. I don't think I'll spend money on it. But it has been enjoyable and entertaining.

Oboe is funny as always, but the game is pretty good! You guys are bashing it without playing. This is the only place I’ve seen bad comments about it. For a F2P game, you can progress with no transactions (maybe the basic battle pass), the gameplay is solid, and it gets very close to an actual console game. The home UI sucks, but you get used to it. I started playing it on Switch, coming from Overwatch, and I’m satisfied. I also tried it on my phone today and was surprised how well it handles. I’m no fanboy, but try the game. You won’t regret it.
You see Oboe does not like OverWatch, we don’t either. Like with Halo Infinite some say the gameplay is good and blah, blah, but we don’t want to support microtransaction games with unfinished game modes and pink samurai cat ears running around while raging about SBMM.

I’ll talk about gameplay now for shooter game on mobile it doesn’t even have the option to customise your controls it so aiming was quite uncomfortable especially when playing Diago. The characters are not balanced the Jedi training droid is just garbage slow and low health and damage is not enough you if someone has good aim you have no chance of defeating them, there is no lightsaber duelling. Diago’s scan is also a waste since the map is small and you play objective control all the time, the droideka disables the shield when you use another ability you have recharge it again crap. Now about animations, rather janky comes with the territory I suppose, but why bother when you can play Battlefront 2? And there is only 5 maps entirety of gameplay is group together and win, the overwatch 2 like design is not interesting. Music is like oboe said cheap, appeals to 3 years olds knows nothing better. The sound effects are crap. There’s no difference between a A-280 and DL-44 and the E-Web is pathetic. Lightsaber have no hit sound there is no scorching, When you use Rieve’s ultimate it just falls flat and unspectacular. Same with Aran Tal like you are playing with the volume off. The off topic is the character designs and the general direction it is clear with Disney they never seen anything StarWars or are interested in it at all they rather their own ideals into the franchise like why is the medic has rudimentary artificial legs when the technology can perfectly replace the lost limbs and none would be the wiser. Why is Hera Syndula happen to be the so called hero every soldier of the rebellion look up to, what about Luke, Leia and Han? We all know answer. It’s a hastily made game to cash in on overwatch and to appeal to the children, The 30 dollar skins say it all, if you think this is fun, do better. My conclusion is just play Battlefront 2 instead of dealing with all these crap. They had so much potential with this and it sucks they messed it up. Should’ve made the factions based around dark vs light side. Only 4 of their original character designs are actually cool and interesting, but they should’ve added characters that everyone who’s a fan knows and actually likes more. Hate how the shop only has 2 items that cost credits and the rest are with real money. Wish they had payload or elimination, as well as longer modes. Takes like 5 min or less to complete a match and feels boring most of the time. I looked up the top 10 tips for the game, it’s actually NOT about optimizing the dailies and battlepass, it’s about “learn what the controls of the game are”, “learn what the characters do”, the microtransaction stuff might actually be saved for “advanced tips and tricks”.
I personally find the game quite fun. I think some of the points you made were kind of incorrect and unfair. I think it’s a super fun little game to have on the go, matches are just long enough that you can have a few quick games. I don’t feel pressured into buying the micro-transactions, also I mean you know what your getting with a mobile games. And for a mobile game I think this is a pretty fantastic little one.
Negativity gets views. It's a solid game, especially for mobile, and I made a battle pass payment just to tip the devs because I e joyed the game and not because I felt forced.

Oboe is funny as always, but the game is pretty good! You guys are bashing it without playing. This is the only place I’ve seen bad comments about it.
For a F2P game, you can progress with no transactions (maybe the basic battle pass), the gameplay is solid, and it gets very close to an actual console game. The home UI sucks, but you get used to it.
I started playing it on Switch, coming from Overwatch, and I’m satisfied. I also tried it on my phone today and was surprised how well it handles.
I’m no fanboy, but try the game. You won’t regret it.

Like with Halo Infinite some say the gameplay is good and blah, blah, but we don’t want to support microtransaction games with unfinished game modes and pink samurai cat ears running around while raging about SBMM.
@@ReanGalliams who’s “we”? Overwatch used to be a good game for the right person, hence it became massively popular. But OW2 is bad, no argument there. Even if you don’t like a certain genre, it doesn’t mean a game is bad.

You say it’s good for it is, but for a mobile game that’s meaningless the standard is already ten feet under. I’ll talk about gameplay now for shooter game on mobile it doesn’t even have the option to customise your controls it so aiming was quite uncomfortable especially when playing Diago. The characters are not balanced the Jedi training droid is just garbage slow and low health and damage is not enough you if someone has good aim you have no chance of defeating them, there is no lightsaber duelling. Diago’s scan is also a waste since the map is small and you play objective control all the time, the droideka disables the shield when you use another ability you have recharge it again crap. Now about animations, rather janky comes with the territory I suppose, but why bother when you can play Battlefront 2? And there is only 5 maps entirety of gameplay is group together and win, the overwatch 2 like design is not interesting.
Music is like oboe said cheap, appeals to 3 years olds knows nothing better.
The sound effects are crap. There’s no difference between a A-280 and DL-44 and the E-Web is pathetic. Lightsaber have no hit sound there is no scorching,
When you use Rieve’s ultimate it just falls flat and unspectacular. Same with Aran Tal like you are playing with the volume off.
The off topic is the character designs and the general direction it is clear with Disney they never seen anything StarWars or are interested in it at all they rather their own ideals into the franchise like why is the medic has rudimentary artificial legs when the technology can perfectly replace the lost limbs and none would be the wiser. Why is Hera Syndula happen to be the so called hero every soldier of the rebellion look up to, what about Luke, Leia and Han? We all know answer.
It’s a hastily made game to cash in on overwatch and to appeal to the children,
The 30 dollar skins say it all, if you think this is fun, do better.
My conclusion is just play Battlefront 2 instead of dealing with all these crap.
Most importantly is the game will be dead soon with the current amount of player base so all those mom and dad’s savings will be for nothing.

Smart, I caught on to the scam element too of how they use bots and the ranked mode. What to expect from a company that makes online gambling slots. I think all players should let Disney know what we think of this scammy stuff so maybe they will not soil the Star Wars name with it anymore. Maybe pull the rights to use Star Wars skins for the characters at least.
I love how Disney’s “Star Wars” sucks just ALLLLL the @$$.
They had so much potential with this and it sucks they messed it up. Should’ve made the factions based around dark vs light side. Only 4 of their original character designs are actually cool and interesting, but they should’ve added characters that everyone who’s a fan knows and actually likes more. Hate how the shop only has 2 items that cost credits and the rest are with real money. Wish they had payload or elimination, as well as longer modes. Takes like 5 min or less to complete a match and feels boring most of the time. Also don’t like how some characters are locked behind a battle pass, bc it’s basically pay to win with the mandalorian character. It just doesn’t feel like a Star Wars game, and instead feels like some cheap Chinese knock off mobile game by 2 indie developers that made it on their lunch break
I looked up the top 10 tips for the game, it’s actually NOT about optimizing the dailies and battlepass, it’s about “learn what the controls of the game are”, “learn what the characters do”, the microtransaction stuff might actually be saved for “advanced tips and tricks”.

I personally find the game quite fun. I think some of the points you made were kind of incorrect and unfair. I think it’s a super fun little game to have on the go, matches are just long enough that you can have a few quick games. I don’t feel pressured into buying the micro-transactions, also I mean you know what your getting with a mobile games. And for a mobile game I think this is a pretty fantastic little one.
Negativity gets views. It's a solid game, especially for mobile, and I made a battle pass payment just to tip the devs because I e joyed the game and not because I felt forced.
