We don't open champagne until we are flying.
First class: Has a glass of champagne
yeah i dont get this? but it seemed she had some bubbles?
They pay duty on booze they serve on the ground, and not on booze served in the air. It’s a cost issue, I would say it’s pretty standard to pay the duty for business class.
I cannot believe Singapore doesn’t serve businesses class passengers Champagne on the ground. Outrageous actually.
As a cabin crew it is normal, first class and the rest are differently taken care of with the customs, they don't open it because they are still on the ground, in case the aircraft has to go back to the gate for some technical issues the seal will still have to be the same which they can't be if the bar has been opened
Hallam Kirlew HAHAHAHAH
Can you guys start doing this with hotels? I would love to see the difference between standard, deluxe and suite (sometimes there’s a fourth tier such as penthouse), what you get for it and the level of service you receive. That would be amazing. Love hotel room tours in general, but being able to see the difference between each tier is even better
Yes! Would be amazing, such a great idea!
Ashy Wales also look into large hotel brands. Maybe the difference from a Hampton to a Conrad. ( Both Hilton, but you can try other brands with the same purpose.)
Eben Cole you can use many things, such as rocket miles, which are obtained via air points. Many means of booking hotels via airpoints exist, as well as the credit cards air points can be accumulated with.
It’s a great idea... BUT U WANT THEM TO GO BANKRUPT??!!!!???!?!?!?!?! But I think it’s a brilliant idea although I’m pretty sure they would go bankrupt if they actually do it
Yes please!!!!!!! And also ferry too!!! I’d love to see it!
I think it’s gonna be very interesting how deference it is between standard to suite room.
I recommend to go to Japan and try it haha
There is many good ferries there!
Call personal in suites: 10 seconds
Premium economy: I AM SPEED
I NEVER fly First class. But when I do, I don’t.

No champagne before flight takes off.
Next frame. Champagne before flight takes off 🤣
thelaudkat It might depend on the class.
@@europlayoof5429 Thank you Captain Obvious.
Might be due to laws and customs regulations, in the first class its probably a complimentary item, whereas in the lower class you have to pay for it, thus its a salemof alcohol and the regulations are different. But dont know for sure how it works.
@@iPelaaja1 You don't have to pay for champagne in business class.. all food & drink is complimentary
@@iPelaaja1 Someone already mentioned it in one of the other comments. But if you open a bottle of champagne on the ground, you have to pay duty for that bottle. Its likely that the first class seats already has the duty factored into their ticket price. But not for business class, hence what she said "can't open on the bar on the ground".

Would like to clarify that the champagne being served on first class/ suites was duty paid. That means, the champagne bottle opened in first class was catered separately(i.e not from the bar cart).
Certain airports and/or regulations made to the airline states that they cannot open the bar cart on ground, so no alcohol drinks from the bar cart (hence why business class was not serving them at point of boarding).
They will gladly serve you the champagne right after take off :)
The crew have to follow the rules and regulations of the airport station requirements.
Why only first class has duty paid champagne??? Well that explains the cost of that ticket doesn’t it ;)

You always hear Qatar has awesome business class, Emirates have a great first-class suite and so on..all known for one type of product. Only Singapore Airlines seems to excel across the board and in my opinion the only airline that deserves a 5-star rating OVERALL.
@IM A MULTIFAN I agree Qatar has the number 1 ranked business class. Yet to actually try q-suites (due to where I fly) but what I was saying is that different airlines are known for specific things. Qatar-business class, Emirates/Etihad have some fantastic 1st class, Turkish Airlines great food and so on. But SIA are close or equal to all these in nearly every category. I love the hugely spacious SIA business class. As for the service, I guess it is based on the flight on the day. On their day, even useless Airlines can have fantastic service. So anyways, my point was that overall, you are rarely going to be disappointed flying SIA. Qatar is a close 2nd though.
@IM A MULTIFAN No worries! People should be able to share their opinions without idiots getting rude. We all have different opinions and we should be able to disagree with each other while still being friendly...or it would be a boring world!
I have flown Emirates economy before and I promise you it felt like business class
@@ogechianusi6809 No offense mate, but that must be some low standards for business class. Emirates economy is decent no doubt, but there is a world of difference between business class and economy.

Jean deserves to be in first class; very good review and demeanor.
Finally jean is not in economy.
shubhi shrivastava I know right
Go check the last video they were talking about were Jean did First class by himself. Showed a lot of the comments about him in economy at the beginning
Just to point out:
1. Singapore Sling is available in Economy class too.
2. Premium Economy actually offers a book-a-cook service, albeit a more limited one compared to First/Business, of course. You need to book it before the flight, hence it can be a different culinary experience compared to Economy.
Does Jean have an official fan club yet? I adore watching his reviews.

Jean is so nice giving up his first class seat
1:51 - 2:04 This dude’s done his research!
Exactly my experience with SIA. Flew them in Premium Eco to Sydney from Frankfurt and this year from Stockholm to Singapore in Business and their aircraft and crew are simply outstanding. Best Airline in the world period. In every class.
I love that y'all are so impressed by the speed and awesome service of the Singapore Airlines crew. They train really hard here before being able to work on a plane. There's quite a high prestige to being a SIA Girl here in SG.
I love Liam, more of him Please!
Totally agree with you.Liam is super cute!
Liam seems like the most kid-like out of them all
Holy damn... That plane is empty
Indeed. That's partially why the A380 is going out of production.
David Liu I don't think it's the type of aircraft causing the plane to be empty. The flight just had low demand probably due to failure to compete with other prices, route, and time of year. But yeah I guess the a380 not being so cost effective lead to high prices for that flight they flew.
Luom112 I mean, if it was a smaller plane with lesser seats, the demand would remain the same so the plane itself would be more filled.
@@a_a7287 It's definitely the type of aircraft
It’s probably because most people got off on the flight from Singapore to Frankfurt, before continuing on to NYC
When I got the notification I was faster on YT than the Singapore Airlines cabin crew
ahahahahaa!!!
Now that's the achievement
lmao
I love you guys! You get it right every time. You’re not boring or over the top. You’re just perfect! Loving all your videos.
Gonna be honest, every one of you had a pretty decent flight. That seat in business looked absolutely perfect to me. Premium economy looked pretty nice, too. And economy even looked pretty nice, especially compared to some other airlines.
Should I ever have the money and the reason, I'd definitely go with this airline if it was an option.
Thank you for putting on the different classes in the corner, that really helps 😁
I have watched all your videos till now and seriously this is the best one so far..
This is honestly the best and most clever review I have seen so far. I like how you split up and review every seat of each class at once.
Every time I watch you. You’re so lucky to go on all of the FLIGHTS!

I flew with singapore airlines from Manchester to Houston, best flight i've ever had. The service is excellent and generally the flights are cheaper than any other long distance airlines.
Omg, this video was amazing! I'm a bit of a prude about reviews but the informative detail and synchrony were superb! Bravo!
I love Singapore airlines-very spacious, good food , clean and friendly flight attendants. I’ve tried other airlines and none can compete so far.

I had about 3 hours sleep the night before - it was an insanely early start! 😋
I did that 3 seat thing in economy coming back from the UK to Australia on the London to Singapore leg which is one of the longer non stop legs on the planet, I was so stoked.
Love the typewriter touch. I have two manual Olivetti’s, plus a truckload of carbon paper to keep me going. Good job boys!
Yayyyy I’m earlyyy, btw, please let Jean go to first class again because he seemed to really enjoy it :))
Jean in first class hyped me so much and then the twist D:
He has flown first before on Singapore Airlines - thats why he was willing to swap. Go check the older vids
@@ajwalters328 I know. But that was the only time.
@@inquisitive6786 Exactly thats why I felt sad
That was a very amazing flight. I think there isn’t words to describe in details the phenomenal experience that you get in that airline.
I just flew Singapore airlines business from Bom-Sin-Icn during my move to Korea and it was the best decision ever! I splurged for the first time ever and bought full ticket (well Business lite)
The experience was amazing and totally worth every penny !
I love that seat! I actually prefer the seat that Jean had which I had on my first flight from BOM-SIN than the second one (both on the A350s, but different configurations)
I love how much space you get!
I actually had a very good night's sleep on both legs of the flight and was refreshed when I landed in Korea in the morning and had a full day of getting settled in and running around doing moving formalities!
10/10 would recommend!
The jump in space and seat quality from Economy to Premium Economy on this airline is insane
I love these comparisons, though both the Economy and Premium Economy had extra space that isn't typical. The breakfasts all looked good, and it's a meal that's hard to make over-the-top for First Class. I appreciated that you indicated the number of points for each class so we can estimate the relative costs for that flight. On an evening flight, the spread between Economy and First Class might be larger due to the opportunity for more opulence. FA response was amazing. Overall, I'd say Singapore Airlines did well for you all.
Wow! All four classes = amazing! Still yet to fly Singapore Airlines. You guys have wetted my appetite big time.
love having an entire row to myself in economy. I had that once on an asiana airlines A380 upper deck in the middle 4 seats. That's the best way to fly after first and business class.
Ben: "it's weird to be drinking champagne this early on a Sunday"
Next shot: "can I have a Bloody Mary please"
Bloody Mary is a breakfast drink xxx
@@bensmithson1773 oh sorry 😂 I am not so cultured obviously!
The typewriter part was just wonderful. 😍😍
It was creative..🤘
I love these, very well done and answer so many of the questions that travelers grappling with cost v comfort have, really appreciate them. Just wish every seat could have someone in the seat next to it as that's the real test (and part of the value of Business and First because you can guarantee it). Appreciate that's not within the team's gift to organise 🙂

after 20yrs of Long haul Economy from Europe to Asia I also recently made the upgrade to Business Class only and it makes a hell of a difference in the stress levels of flying and the whole airport experience.. more expensive FOR SURE but for a once a year getaway for a few months in winter it is absolutely worth it!!!

Brilliant trip report! They seem to have a good product in all classes. The flight was very empty. The food looked tasty, and the crew were fast and helpful.
Productions on these videos are amazing
9:23 is what you guys are here for
The fact that business class came in last place for call bell was funny. But I’m adding some time (2 secs) for Nicky because he was sitting at the bulkhead right near the galley lol.
I fly this route SIN-JFK via Frankfurt regularly before the direct route came online, mostly on business but once on Suites. So there are some business seats that are better than others. Bulkhead for example give you much more leg room which is needed on long haul flights and during bed time. There are also a couple of seats on the upper deck last row which is very private and feels like first class. You also get more attention from the crew especially if that part of the cabin is not full. Those are great seats if you don't mind that it is slightly more bumpy during turbulence being near the tail.
Buisness: "We don't have champagne until we take off"
First: *Proceeds to drink champagne before they take off*
It's not the specific issue, they cannot open the bar on the ground in certain countries because of the country's liquor tax laws. In First class, the tax is already paid for.
How about you guys go the same class on four different flights at the same time.....by the way...LOVE YOU VEDIOS AND WE CANT GET ENOUGH OF IT
