I also keep my kittens indoors except for harnessed walks for similar reasons. Some tips for you:
-Start doing it as early as possible (obviously after his two vaccinations haha)
-He will probably hate it the first few times, but stick with it!
-Start off small. For his first time, maybe only take him out near the front door for 5 minutes and slowly work your way up. It's a very overwhelming experience for them.
Also, even though the crying while pooping is normal for babies, do keep an eye on it as it can be a sign of some intestinal pain. Good luck with your baby, he's absolutely adorable
let me add, just put the harness on your cat with no leash and keep it on around the house......my cat took to the whole leash thing right away.
Good for you for keeping him inside! Mine was dumped in a parking lot and I trapped her when she was a kitten and she’s been the most wonderful kitty for the last 11 years and counting. Love kitties!

About 30 years ago I was the Human Resources Representative for engineers who worked on the Hubble Space Telescope at Lockheed Missiles and Space Company at Sunnyvale, California USA. I think you’re right, he looked quite unsteady on his feet coming out of his carrier, more like a kitten younger than 7 weeks.
I'm concerned even a rescue would rehome a kitten this young... it's not good for them to go through that change of environment and changes in diet after an already rocky start

Hubble - what a delightfully nerdy name for a little ball of fluff. FWIW, I agree with your decision to keep your cat indoors. Outdoor/indoor cats live much shorter lives, in general. There are just too many hazards out there - cars, predators, disease, malicious humans. Our cat was abandoned by his owner and spent most of his time outside for until we decided to rescue him. it was a slow, gradual transition but, for the most part, he seems happy inside now. Your job will be easier because Hubble will never become accustomed to being outside.
Whoever disliked this is a monster, how can you look at this cuteness and dislike it.

My sister and I got our first pet in 2017. I got Neo during a difficult time and she means everything to me- she kisses me a lot even on my mouth. Neo is a netherland dwarf bunny and her sister Tula is super sweet (my sister's bunny). We have 2 younger bunnies we added last year, love 'em. Later I invested in rats and mice. I have a really special bond with Neo and 2 of my rats- working on the others. My fav mouse girl who became really tame sadly passed away a few months ago.

It's good that you took in that ginger kitten you'd found. My exfiancee has a ginger kitten too, found her on the freeway last July and has been taking care of her ever since.

Happy moments like these are reasons you shouldn’t dump off an animal. They may be found by anyone but nobody said that someone would be nice to them. This cat was lucky and she was a really nice person that found him. :))
Aww he’s so cute. Yay for house cats I have 3 and they’re thriving. I have small animals too and they’re absolutely fine with them when supervised and the minis are in their cages. Had them all since kittens, they were all rescued and are now vaccinated and neutered. Where I live charities are really good for rescuing and neutering strays thankfully!!🐾

By now Hobble is not a kitten anymore, but certainly adorable and you no longer cannot imagine life without him. Omg I literally was counting hours until the vid would go Live and I knew the times would be different for me because I live in the US. So for me the thing said in 21 hours and When I was counting hours first I got 6:00 in the morning and I was worried about waking up in time to watch the video. But then my dumb self didn’t even realize that I literally says on the post that it starts at 9 AM so I completely freaked myself out for no reason!

He's adorable! He looks to me like maybe 5 weeks old max in this video. His eyes are still blue, so definitely under 7 weeks. I have rescued/rehomed many feral kittens (plus the moms) that have been born outside around the neighbourhood, over the past few years. I don't own a cat (I have a large dog), but maybe one day. I applaud you for your incredibly sensible and smart attitude toward the indoor/outdoor debate and interactions with your pet rats. I wish more people thought like this. I have seen so many dangers in the outside world for the ferals around here - from cars, to foxes and dogs chasing them, to mean people that hate wandering cats in their gardens. Not to mention the small wildlife that end up killed. Too many uncontrollable risks. I'm so glad this little guy has found such a great home! Congrats.

Your kitten is lovely. No wonder you do not manage to work. I would also just cuddle and play with him. Keep in mind, he is a baby for a short time and you´ll miss these days with him. Just adore him and play with him. Let him stay next to your heart. Listening to the heartbeat of "his mother" calms him down. Pls keep showing more videos.e
