Ideally, you should be introducing the kitten to the other cats a bit slower. 1) Isolate the kitten in a separate room 2) Feed the kitten / other cats next to each other but separated by the door 3) Let them smell/interact slightly with the door slightly ajar 4) Swap the cats -- kitten in the rest of the house, cats in the separate room. This is to get them used to each others' scents 5) Supervised time together -- 30 mins or so, duration is up to your discretion This worked well for me when I adopted a kitten and already had two cats. I did those 5 steps over a week.

This kitten is so chill! When I brought home my kitten (a Ragdoll named Eevee), she had ZERO chill. She wanted to explore every nook and cranny and wouldn't stop meowing. I love her to pieces, but she is still a bit spicy. Your baby kitten is ADORABLE

yes!! this is a very common thing that happens that since the cats are older, people don’t adopt them as much as a cute, young cat. but it would make a senior cats day, or the rest of their life. this also goes for dogs and other pets
you said nubbles is the queen of the household and very territorial, but i can tell she's mature. very calm, curious, balanced and laid back. on the other hand, mittens felt very insecure and confused. the kitten dealt with all of that really well! it felt very secure, concious and not scared at all. it even slept with you, thats so suprising! it took my cat a week or so to get used to me. the three will get together in no time though

I had an outdoor street kitty that adopted me, just wandered in one day and made himself at home. Over the course of his ten years (outdoor life finally aged him enough), he met several other cats who wound up living with us. There was never any serious drama. There was occasionally some initial hesitation from the other cats, but it never erupted and everyone was soon friendly.
I know people have probably already said it, but the introduction can go way smoother if you let the resident cats get familiar with the kitten's scent first before you let them see each other. Like letting them smell a towel/blanket that the kitten had been wrapped up in.
This was a very nice introduction but, in my experience I do believe it is way better if you don’t overprotect the kitten. Your cats will not hurt her. They just need to get to know her and get used to it on their own terms without you in the middle of it. ❤ I had my 3 cats who were littermates and grew up together, they were really close to eachother, until I adopted a Siamese when they were 6 months old, and she was 3 months… I let her interact with them on er own terms, and even though they hissed at her, they were not aggressive just cautious. And then they were were inseparable 5 yrs later! So, there’s no need to keep the kitten in your arms the whole time. ❤
I have a 3 month old kitten male and i just recently got a 6 week kitten, I try not to overprotect but the 3 month kitten plays way too rough and bites the neck, kicks etc. What do i do now?

I find so much better to sequester a new pet for a few days, switch places with the others for a few hours then back again. Then a day later open the door so they can venture onto the rest of the house. Gives everyone a chance to slowly get to know the sounds and smells of their new housemate and vice versa. A lot less stressfulness.
Don't give too much attention to the new furball otherwise your other 2 might begin to resent her. She could not have picked a better family to join. Lots of love & attention & cuddles. My pick for a name would be Macavity from the famous musical Cats. My cat is the same she sleeps ON ME not beside me every night. It is the ultimate sign of trust that a cat can show you. Mine jumps on my torso & hears my heart beat. Thank you for taking such great care of a furry friend-every animal is special & deserves to be treated like a King or Queen.You will get ten fold love that you show her back. Love your video. The ginger cat was so sweet when he went up to Tolouse on the bed and sniffed her. I thought he was almost going to start grooming Tolouse😊. He will eventually I’m sure.

I had an outdoor street kitty that adopted me, just wandered in one day and made himself at home. Over the course of his ten years (outdoor life finally aged him enough), he met several other cats who wound up living with us. There was never any serious drama. There was occasionally some initial hesitation from the other cats, but it never erupted and everyone was soon friendly.

I know people have probably already said it, but the introduction can go way smoother if you let the resident cats get familiar with the kitten's scent first before you let them see each other. Like letting them smell a towel/blanket that the kitten had been wrapped up in.

This was a very nice introduction but, in my experience I do believe it is way better if you don’t overprotect the kitten. Your cats will not hurt her. They just need to get to know her and get used to it on their own terms without you in the middle of it. ❤
I had my 3 cats who were littermates and grew up together, they were really close to eachother, until I adopted a Siamese when they were 6 months old, and she was 3 months… I let her interact with them on er own terms, and even though they hissed at her, they were not aggressive just cautious.
And then they were were inseparable 5 yrs later! So, there’s no need to keep the kitten in your arms the whole time. ❤

I have a 3 month old kitten male and i just recently got a 6 week kitten, I try not to overprotect but the 3 month kitten plays way too rough and bites the neck, kicks etc. What do i do now?
@@onvvi6945 6 weeks??? That is way too young to be without his mother. a 3 month old kitten does not know how to play with younger kittens because he is still a baby himself.

Same here. Persians are very cute as a kitten; however, they do age faster than domestic cats and have a shorter life span. Teeth health and periodic blood work become important after approx 7 or 8 years old.
Of course, I got them because they're a part of my family forever!

I find so much better to sequester a new pet for a few days, switch places with the others for a few hours then back again. Then a day later open the door so they can venture onto the rest of the house. Gives everyone a chance to slowly get to know the sounds and smells of their new housemate and vice versa. A lot less stressfulness.
