My Granddad had a corn mill and he when ever possible used Hawkins prolific corn. It’s about same as hickory cane but basically has smaller cob with equal amount of kernels. Grows 10 to 12 ft tall with 3 to 5 ears per stalk. Last seed I saw was from Georgia
Good morning y’all , this is the way it’s supposed to be done , IT TAKES EFFORT & a little Work ,…. CONVENIENCE HAS KILLED THE U.S , thanks for sharing your life !!
Danny and Wanda. I think these shorter, very informative videos are awesome. I think everyone is limited on time. Shorter videos more often for me. I hate to start a long one and have to stop it because I probably won't get back to it. Thank all for everything you do. We certainly love you guys.
Good morning Danny and Wanda. I love your grocery store. Nothing like stepping right out of your kitchen to gather things to prepare the day's meals with. The Cole slaw and carrot salad looked scrumptious. Please do more videos like this. It helps me freshen up my menu planning. I get so tired of what seems like always fixing the same thing. Thank you for sharing. Blessings to you both.
I know what you are talking about, I have the hardest time coming up with meal ideas. Watching Wanda gives me ideas and a desire to try something different.
This is a nice video ! A lot of folks don't realize that Danny and Wanda are regular people like us folks too. If they can do it, you'all can do it too.. Thanks for the video !
thank you for being a positive voice in the storm we are all in. You and Wanda speak the truth, share your knowledge, Love God and share the Gospel without all the doom and gloom other channels are cashing in on, I have a small homestead with my family of 5, My husband and I both grew up on farms and we grow all our own meat, veggies and most of our fruit . I can, dehydrate and preserve 1000 of jars each year as well as process all our own animals . you inspire me to keep doing what I know and not get caught up in all the nonsense. Prepare like a pioneer , preserve the harvest for the year to come. Work hard, give God what is his and wait for his return.
Love these types of videos because for many of us, we are fairly new to homesteading. For myself and many of my friends, we know how bad things are and don’t need to hear it on every video we just want to soak up how to to survive the coming times. Informative videos are key to knowing how to prepare. We appreciate all y’all do and you are our number one go to for self-sufficiency.
Thank you so much Danny and Wanda. I loved the tour ! Only problem is that I am so hungry watching all the wonderful meals Wanda is creating. So yummy 😋
I'm just getting to see this video. Been a bit busy. But, this is GREAT! This is why you guys are the REAL deal and why people who have half a brain LOVE you guys. I think this should be a new series from time to time. "DANNY WITH A CAMERA"! I love it!!
I love to see Wanda's delicious food; it's wonderful ,too ,that you let Wanda know how much you appreciate her cooking. We can't grow our own meat, but we do our best to produce enough vegetables for canning. We purchase corn and fruit for canning and jelly making and freeze what I don't can ( berries) Thank you...I'm still working on growing carrots!
I both appreciate your sharing the food "program" in your home and the opportunity to see the inside of your lovely home. The recessed ceiling was outstanding, as was the beautiful lighting and wall colors. Whoever made those appointments certainly had great taste. I love the cream colored cabinets that offset the forest green and dusty rose. What a wonderful, fresh diet you all have. As healthy as it can be, and you may both just live forever with all the great nutrition you enjoy. Delicious! A food fiesta!
I think I have watched twenty TH-cam homestead channels but the first time I listened to yours I was hooked. Please continue, watching what you do and how you do it helps me. I am 80 years old, a widow living in a cabin with my dog, in NW Virginia Mountains. My kids think I am nuts trying to can, prep and buy basics because I live off such a small income. They make good money and every penny goes to bills and food. I have friend in the Canadian Artic and recently told me a gallon of milk costs over $10 with the government subsidy, without the subsidy it would cost $27 a gallon. Ocean Spray cranberry juice 1/2 gal $29.98. They seem to cope. I doubt this country would.
Thanks Donny. Very encouraging to those who ore trying to get the job done with our Gardens it's encouraging to now it's possible to grow your own food. God bless.
The convenience of going into the pantry and shopping is a blessing. No bad weather, no going out in heavy traffic, no jostling grocery carts, etc. Love it!
I absolutely love you said pone of it, about the cornbread! My granny used that term all the time! God Bless y’all, I sure do appreciate all your videos!
Thank y’all so much! The more I watch the more I understand how much MORE I have to learn! Very informative and ALL the videos are wonderful. Gods blessings for both of you! John 16:33 ❤
Y'all do an amazing job. Working at soon being much more self sufficient. Anyone giving you a hassle about buying something let's see how you get 100%. Mr Danny y'all are spoiled by Ms Wanda LOL. Wishing you both a blessed day.
BOOK REQUEST : I think if you would please write a book on saving seeds or recommend one that would be very helpful. Just from watching this I think I have to start buying Miss Wanda's cookbooks.
You have more food in your house pantry than most people do. I carried more food in the semi 🚛 than most people do. I tried to keep a month supply of dry & canned goods+ an additional week of fresh food. I had been in blizzard, hurricane and tornado conditions through out 25yrs of driving the semi 🚛. I went UGH when I pulled all the food out of the semi last Oct due to work injury
Since watching you and Wanda all these years we have one of those in our house too, lol. You don't have to warm up the truck, no lines to stand in and the only coupons you need are sunshine, some rain, and a whole lot of hard work.
I appreciate these videos! And I’m going back to check out your root cellar Video because I need to build one for are garden to keep a working pantry year around. Thank you very much.
Ugh! It's so cold here in Pennsylvania even if we had a greenhouse, nothing would be alive. 11° last night and the wind was howling, it felt like -5 according to the weather Channel. Great video! Loved it!

I love this video! Wanda, all those jars of food represent a lot of hard work. You evidently have a natural talent for cooking and preservation. It’s great that y’all eat as natural as you can. Hope your Grandkids are watching and learning from you.
Hard work pays off abundantly!! I love cooking from what we grow and can. I love homemade coleslaw, yet have not made carrot salad. My granny used to and it was great!! Thank you for the link for McKasKle Family Farm. We really enjoy popcorn. 😊 God blesses his hardworking and faithful children.

SHORTER VIDEO. MEANS LESS KNOWLEDGE SHARE.
LESS OF A GOOD LIFE THAT WE CAN LEARN FROM.
