Setting up your TV for the first time using the Smart remote | Samsung US

Before you can start streaming content, playing games, and downloading apps, you’ll first need to get your TV set up, but fortunately it’s super simple. Before you even power on the TV, connect any external devices such as a cable box, Blu-ray player, game console, or home theatre system. This will help your TV automatically detect and identify each device so you can control them with your Smart Remote. Once everything is connected, power them all on, power on your TV, and then select Remote Control on the screen. Next, select Start Auto Setup, choose your Wi-Fi network, enter your password, and then select Go. Review and agree to the Smart Hub terms and conditions, and then select Ok. Your TV will search for and download any available updates. Now, you can sign into your Samsung Account. If you don’t have one, you can create one.
