Everything worked before, except for the volume buttons, when I did the update it said that my current version is newer than the update, (mine is 030) I still did it and now it works! Thank you
Funny how people complain about having low volume on ps4 with the ds4 controller. Maybe their hearing is bad? I have sharp hearing and maybe play in a less noisy environment? That seems to help. I have the sound card but sometimes I use it on the controller too.
I've just bought this headset yesterday and it was working fine without the update at first. The first thing I noticed was the sound card that wasn't working (now I understand why) but after a while of playing some Siege with some friends, my headset just got fucked. The audio of my microphone was terrible and it was almost as if I had a robot voice. I tried to unplug the headset from my ps4 and reconnect it again but it didn't do much. It's really annoying to have this much problems with a headset that I thought would be amazing from scratch. Is there anyone with the same problem as me? Or anyone who knows how to fix this?

Before I watched this video. I had a couple issues with this and my ps4 1) I have a MacBook and I’m not sure if the hardware will work on it. Never knew about the download to enable surround sound. 2) Is there a mute button without the bar? 3) when I plug in the USB, the audio drops so much and I can’t even turn it up.

Okay so, my mic has started to mute itself when using the usb card. It happens all the time and to fix it all I have to do is to push the 7.1 button then it works fine from seconds to minutes and then does the same again. Audio works all the time. And when plugged into the dualshock mic works fine so it has to be something wrong with the usb soundcard. I have googled it and seems like many have had the same problme but no one knows the solution, even hyperx itself. Any thoughts about this?

mic still does not work with the update. had to download updater for HP inc version. sound card lights up but no mic in audio levels. switched to all audio and checked sound card the switch is off for mic mute. works correctly in controller but you know you can't use sound card. what else could I have missed? please help

Try unplugging and replugging the mic.

Not really, but you dont get the 7.1 surround and being able to control the volumes through the soundcard that way
Maybe late, but the sound and the mic are less louder when connected directly to the pad.

Nah, you can still talk your team on PS4, but the soundcard that you got with your headset will just not work if you don't update the firmware

I would contact HyperX and try to get a new soundcard, honestly I do not know a fix for that.

Your mic might be muted on the soundcard.

Hi, I m using this headphones but my friends can‘t hear me talk, also updated the headphones
Most of the issues I noticed that people had was:
1) The mic was muted through the soundcard
2) You did not update the firmware on the soundcard
3) You might need to unplug and plug your mic back
4) Restarting your computer
5) Not having the headset chosen as the actual default device
i dont have a pc for the update what should i do im starting to worry a lil

When i put in USB in computer no Update . I have cloud flight. Voice coming later ? You know what is problem?
This tutorial is for Cloud 2, I don't know about cloud flight.

You don't have to update it to use them, just the soundcard won't work

I have tried to update soundcard but the info is that my firmware newer and it is not 0030 but 0050 and my mic and volume control on sound card dont work while 7.1 can be turned on and cant be turned off? Should i still update?

Got my hpx2 yesterday for warzone .. Where must go to enable home theater? And where fix high or low boost ? I’m new and don’t have a clue
It really depends, if its the wireless, you need a pc to enable those.
