The rear looks like if you asked an AI to design a 911 Turbo S.
At first glance it kinda looked like the current BMW Z4, but it sure does look fine tho.

this might have to be my first high end car... so clean.
Those rare lights and the added drift mode makes this a spectacular car. Then plus the 4matic+… Can’t wait to see this car on the road. As Alex runs her hand on the air vent, I just imagined if the vents operate as a knob.

This feels like a collaboration between AMG and Aston Martin. I would love to see this car sit side-by-side with the new Vantage. Remember - there's no such thing as a free lunch. MB has a stake in Aston and also supplies them in F1. The SL took on the proportions of the outgoing AMG GT convertible.
Hopefully Aston don't copy the interior

Yea it does look wayyyy to similar to the SL, the new SL of course but still too similar, I feel as if the AMG Gt before this stands out more as a “super car”

This is a great Grand Touring car, I don't like the more generic looks, but 3 weeks later, I am starting to fall in love with it and it's extra practicality :)

It looks nice and they have gone above and beyond to make it appear compact - until she sits inside and you see the transmission tunnel and dash - making her look like a child in the driver seat - you realize how gigantic the overall vehicle really is
I don't understand why modern sports cars are only getting heavier every year? Isn't lightweight a primary goal for any sport car?
Yes but sadly sales and profit take priority. I have no doubt this will be a more popular car than the last GT, but it’ll be at the expense of making something enthusiasts or purists prefer.

Might do something but I have a feeling it won’t be too much gain with the smaller element and lack of endplate. I’d think more for aesthetic than anything.

The overall stance of the new GT is very similar to the GT Black Series. It looks a lot better than previous gen GT.
Basically this GT gives us what we got from the C-class coupe 63s AMG at half the price just few years ago

I agree, it looks so much more like a 911 that is no bad thing. Yes, heavier now almost 2 tonnes compared to the 992 Turbo S which is 400KG lighter but looks wise, Mercedes have done it. This looks better than a Porsche
I mean, yeah it's gonna be heavier. A v8 is gonna be heavier than the flat-six. I think this is more of a cruiser with sports car handling characeteristics, similar to the conti-GT and 911 turbo. But it won't compare in terms of handling to any 911.

This is the most beautiful car I've ever seen. It is prettier than Porsche, Jaguar, Aston Martin, Lotus, Ferrari, and McLaren. I don't know how they've done it, but they've done it.

Too little difference between this and the R232 SL. The 2+2 seat layout was the worst choice they could make for these cars.

The range-topping AMG GT 63 Coupe boasts 577 horsepower and 590 pound-feet (800 Newton-meters) of torque from its twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine, therefore echoing the output available in the SL 63. It hits 60 mph from a standstill in 3.1 seconds, making it 0.4s quicker than the roadster. Stick to the AMG GT 55 Coupe and you get 469 hp and 516 lb-ft (700 Nm), which once again mirrors the equivalent SL.

I like it and I am so glad it’s still a V8, that said I will not be trading in my SLS any time soon. The rear 3/4 and roof line look too much like a 911 just like the SL.
