Deciding between this and the Rebel. I like the looks, performance, and extras of the Eliminator, but I like the fact that the Rebel has been around for ages and has proven bullet proof reliability.
Id buy a Kawasaki simply because they make cool bikes that no one else makes. Honda suffers from the mentality of Toyota 1997-2011. Let’s make reliable, boring, very reliable quality, but very very boring safe and boring cars. Honda has taken this model to both their cars and bikes, and they need a philosophy and cultural shift like Toyota took sometime in the last 10 years, and rewarding Honda with your $ won’t let them see how making an automatic ADV is something no one wants
I ended up having this because rebel feels small after sitting on these hehe.. rebel is also lower st height. I'm 5'10 btw, for someone smaller, rebel will fit in just fine. I just don like the eliminator looks shorter at the end , while the rebel feels short in the front..
To be fair the Eliminator name has been around for a long time, and just like the older Rebel 250 is a completely different bike compared to their modern counterparts.
@@c0dy1287 Yes, the name being around and a reliable build being around are completely different. I actually owned a Kawasaki Eliminator from ~88-93. It was better looking than the Honda then, and it is again with this new iteration.
It's pretty damn ugly man. The exposed frame does not lend itself to a cafe build. The weird half tank and massive radiator are also big time stylistic flaws. Just grab a royal enfield 650 and use that. Or an old Honda. There's so many options for cafe builds, I would never buy this bike.
Also I guarantee when you pull off that seat and rear fender you're gonna have a heck of a time fiberglassing a cafe seat. Building a cafe isn't just about throwing on some $39 eBay clip ons.
I love the exposed trellis frame and the low and wide aesthetic but it's too far removed for a horizontal cafe racer base. Check out pics of just the trellis frame (not to mention the fork rake). I want one. Plus it's a ride-all-day ergo-design.
Choices are good. I’d take this over the Rebel. Intriguing the mash up. Cruiser’ish bike with a sport bike’ish motor in a neutral riding position. Cheap price and good looks are just bonuses.
@ nice !! Straight to the McDonald’s!! Just so you know I’m not fat I’m big boned and I have a great personality I also try to do good I order a Diet Coke whenever I get my super sized big Mack and fries so stop with the hurtful words!!! I did buy the bike and I love it I ride it every day to the Golden Arches ! The bike has plenty of power I love the passenger seat it works great for picking up your mom , I’m sorry that was childish I’m better then that , anyways got to go , big night at the Cracker Barrel !!!! Can you bench 225 ?
I'm a skinny 6'4" any thoughts on how cramped I'd be? I've been looking at getting a Vulcan 650 S, but I big part of what I love about being on two wheels is the lower entrance and running costs, so was thinking the smaller bike might still work.
6'2 here check out Pete's video of the eliminator vs the vulcan, he does a size comparison. I like the eliminator seating position more but 451 isn't very much...I'm 227lbs. Looking at Indian scramblers now
Is the engine really 'smooth'? Unlike the Vulcan's, I hate noticeable vibration and can't test ride this neat looking bike. Thanks and if it's the reviewer who has passed then RIP.
Not sure why this exists when the Vulcan S is already a thing. They could have just given the Vulcan S a facelift and a technology update and it'd be goated.
Forward controls versus mid. Sitting on the two bikes. They feel completely different. I know they call this a cruiser bike but it's more traditional as far as the seating position, seat height and ergonomics go
why such small engines though? when you take a passenger I'm sure it's super bogged down. I'm hoping for a 750-900 cc is perfect but no one seems to make them.
If they had it'd be $15k+ with another $3-5k of extras. Then it'd start leaking oil on the way home from the showroom. But at least you can tell people you "ride a Harley"!
Damn man Evan’s brasfield rip, you were a legend and will be missed

The Eliminator looks like a great bike to make into a cafe racer. It’s close as it sits, just needs some Clip-Ons or club bars. Great job Kawasaki!
The z900rs cafe already exists
@@MrPimpmygun The eliminator is a lot lighter than the Z900rs. Fun.

omg, finally coming to india, on friday it will be unveiled in goa. Hopefully it is up for sale before jan 2024.
It's a nice bike with a good price. Great review also.
Excellent review. Thanks !!!

What’s the background music that comes at the very end. Very cool.
Nice looking, bur being a 180 paralell twin I dont see much reason to buy this over the rebel 500
Unless you're fairly small, the Rebel's riding position will feel more cramped than this bike.

Really nice looking and the quality you can't beat a Kawasaki. Awsome!
This has a ninja design engine. It is a high rpm bike like the versys 300X? Which gets really tiring running at high rpms all day.
At 1:25 you said bigger bore shorter stroke. It's the opposit.
It's same bore longer stroke.
Exactly.
This guy is an editor!? He should’ve edited out the 99 times he said “you know.” Sheesh. Give me this job
Does this meam there will be a Ninja 450 scrambler next?
Take my money !!!
What about daily commuting?
Cool video,thanks.
How would you compare the Eliminator to the Honda CL500 scrambler?
in same power category
go sit on each to see if they fit you :)
Whats it like for long distance?
Guys where you been???
Donde estaban?
Los extraño 😂😂😂
More videos please 👍👍👍👍
5ft 8 a slim 230 lol would this be underpowered for me ? Going back and forth on the Vulcan 650 but like the look
Why don’t you try exercising and stop eating McDonald’s first? Then you can get this bike and not worry about power.

Better to go for Harley x440
Harley colors retro Harley style Japanese reliability
How I wish for 250cc Vulcan (asian market at least)

Seated on both bikes and the position is way different than the other, and also the weight has a huge difference which will affect manueverability
Vulcan is much heavier weighs a 108 lbs more, this gives Kawasaki a light weight bike that will appeal more to smaller riders.

Kawi has a 650 Vulcan
I like it 👍
I’m 194cm, can I fit on it?
i am looking to sell my 1200 harley for this or a vulcan. i could pretty much sell my harley and buy one of these new.
Could you count in cm, please
1-inch = 2.54cm.
There you go. Simple math.
