I moved to New Braunfels in 1961.
I was 6 years old.....man, those were the days. What a great place to grow up but now........not so much.....
The population started ramping up in the 80s & now it's just a bum rush.
Traffic jams, rude liberals, tourist prices. I'm glad I'm in the woods.
New Braunfels used to be a small town......not any more.......
My family lives in Hollywood Park. I live in Hawaii and love visiting to see the missions and the riverwalk.
Hollywood Park, Missions, and Riverwalk are all wonderful places!
It should be noted that most surrounding counties are conservative by nature. You'll see signs of it all over Texas outside our big urban cities. So yeah, definitely be aware of it. But the people in these places we're all very nice and helpful.

San Antonio and surrounding hill country are great place but are slowly deteriorating as more people come here. Your not gonna be able to recognize this place is five years.. and’s that’s sad!
I appreciate your comment. I think our Hill country and surrounding areas are so big even though we have more people coming here which is how San Antonio is structured and what San Antonio wants is growth. I think it will take longer than 5 years for it to be unrecognizable.
San Antonio peaked in the 90’s, today it is unrecognizable to people who lived in SA in that era. It is quickly becoming a shit hole. WARNING to those relocating: Inside the loop 1604 is miserable.
I was in San Antonio the week after thanksgiving, it was amazing! Fredericksburg was awesome so was Luckenback might have spelled that wrong. If I moved down there Boerne would be the town for me.
Absolutely! Fredericksburg is great! We like going over there on a weekend and just walk around the town and shop. Also, Boerne is a Fantastic town to put down some roots. A little similar to Fredericksburg with the friendliest people. We’ve helped plenty of people buy and would be happy to help. Just contact me when you are ready! 👍🏼🙌🏼

You should talk about property taxes too. Helotes comes in at a whopping 3% while Bandera and Boerne hover around 1.7…1.9.

Helotes is awesome, though traffic is getting bad.
I love Helotes! Yeah, I see that traffic is picking up a bit, but Helotes is totally worth it!
All these places are a long drive to the city and expensive places to live. Lots of suburbs closer that are safe, good schools, and a lot less money
I appreciate your comment. I made this video for people who are thinking about living outside San Antonio and want a slower paced lifestyle along with bigger lots/acreage. Also, money and distance is subjective depending what's most important to a buyers needs and wants.

Fredericksburg is as far away from San Antonio as Austin. Hidden gem - La Vernia.
Yes, but it’s less congested in my opinion. Plus the drive to Fredericksburg is beautiful and scenic.

Kerrville is also nice. You’ll find larger lots/acreage if that’s what you’re looking for?
You left out Floresville! This is the place for families relocating that have Horses! The soil there is Sandy Loam. Helotes and the Hill Country is all Limestone.

Once again, no respect for my hometown of Jourdanton, Texas 28 miles south of San Antonio, Texas. Hell,, lowly Poteet gets more press than we do. I guess it's the strawberries.
Pre-owned land? What the hell is that supposed to mean? All land is pre-owned. Settlers, the King of Spain, Native Americans, who knows who else…..
So I have been seeing quite a few videos about "moving to San Antonio".....WHY! what is there to attract a worker to settle in that town. I live in central Texas and all I've heard about SA is the crime, drugs, gangs and flight out of there. And did you notice; all of the towns he suggests are OVER an hour away from SA. That just goes to show that "living" in SA is probably not a good idea.
I can appreciate your comment, but I LOVE SA!!! I live in SA and was born and raised here. I love the culture, the FOOD, the people, and the affordability. As SA continues to grow some may not want to live in the city or suburbs, but want a more slower paced life style that's less populated with bigger land/lots which is why I created this video. If you are thinking about moving here I would encourage you to visit to really form a good opinion about San Antonio and just to clarify out of the six towns I mentioned two are an hour away the rest are only 30 minutes away from downtown San Antonio. As far as what's here to attract a worker, there are several Fortune 500 companies to work for in San Antonio and the city is working on adding 140,000 jobs by 2025 and according to bankrate.com they rank San Antonio #19 of Best Places to Live in 2022.
All the towns except Fredericksburg are within about 30 mins of SA.
The crime is not worse than any city it’s size.
You’re hate for SA is noted however.
Castroville needs some large govt housing projects.The Alsatians need lots of diversity.
Agreed if your looking for cheaper in castroville the village apartments are about 600 a month or by the regional park you could probably get a house for under 100,000

You will find black folks more in Houston and Dallas. Central Texas is more Whites and Latinos. Specifically Mexicans.

I need some help from you guys in San Antonio On September 20th of last year I ended up in a psychiatric emergency room Of Texas vista I was homeless at the time and had no phone Another patient there asked me what happened to you and I said I've had so much trauma the past few years I can't take it anymore and i burst into tears This man that was in the room comes over to me put his arms around me And let's me cry on his shoulder I didn't realize at the time but he started crying too and he said to me I'm gonna start looking for won't stop until I find you Just to make you happy And then we got into This real deep discussion About the different levels of h*** and how we want to send his abusers there And then I told him about a month earlier I had saved the man's life in Atlanta Georgia And his response was I want to spend my life with You Then we were about to have another deep discussion but then they called him to go up to the Psych unit And the look on his face cause he knew we were about to be separated The look on his face you could see His heart breaking As he was walking down the hall I called out to him I love you Aiden and he called back and said I love you Kevin And that was the last I saw of him I have been searching like crazy ever since for him but been unable to find him I'm hoping somebody that reads this will know him He's been to all the psyche units in San Antonio His name is Aidan Estrada he is about 36 Or 37 years old Shoulder length dark hair And he lives in San Antonio Please help I know that I want this man in my life for the rest of my life
