One of the reason Maegor is called "The Cruel" is he tried to wipe out the Faith Militant. If Cersei knew her history she would know how dangerous the Faith can be. She's playing with fire.

The sad reality is people will hold a greater grudge towards a leader like Tommen who is kind and well meaning but also weak over someone like Joffrey who is cruel but decisive. Technically Jon has king's blood from the Starks, who were kings of winter... In the books, Jon was afraid Mel would kill Maester Aemon for his Targ blood and Mance's infant son, so he sent them away with Sam.
It sucks they killed off Selmy. Basically, the actor learned they were thinking of killing him off, so he wrote about why its a bad idea and they should use him more closer to the books, then DnD basically admitted that made them want to kill that character more. He was basically the first to challenge them when his character was going to be killed off. Unfortunate.

I hope you’re told both Ashley and Lindsay that when awful crap happens in the show that they just keep pushing thru it because the story as a whole is so epic.
The Dornish storyline was disappointing. In the book, Prince Doran was secretly working for a Targ restoration, his daughter was hot and crazy, and his oldest son got eaten by Dany's dragons. Oberyn had more daughters, one of who snuck into the Citadel. And Ellaria was against going to war. Not to mention it wasn't Jamie whom Cersei sent to rescue Marcella.
