I like what Conan O'BRIEN said ..If he had one wish for Elvis... Is people would give him empathy...Boy ain't that the truth 😢 ....I agree with you I like anything, everything Elvis 😂😂❤...I like the documentary.... Elvis will always be the best 💛...
I liked it as well. Enjoyed hearing recordings from him and the commentators. Agree, there was nothing new. But, from singing Old Mcdonald to the Comeback Stage, I found myself cheering!
I greatly enjoyed the new doc. It was done with class and style. I could’ve done without having Priscilla to join in, but then again, she produced it so, whatever, but other than that, they really should fact check the actual content before they give erroneous information, but then again, they never seem to get it totally correct!!! And another thing, it’s always pretty much assumed that Elvis’ career started declining in 1964, (kinda), but factually that’s not correct either, the real decline happened in ‘67. Elvis had a #1 album in January 1965 and a worldwide #1 million selling single with “Crying In The Chapel” in April 1965, scored 3 more Top 10 albums in 1965 and another 3 Top 20 albums in 1966, along with 3 more Gold singles in ‘66. 😊
Importantly, it did no harm. They included some good selections of music. The concerts error is ridiculous, should have been picked up. Congratulations on hitting 500 😃
Ive been listening to Elvis and Kathy ( Westmoreland). She gets with the ELVIS band in 1970 and sings with him until the end! Ive learned so much about who Elvis the man was, she knew him well and they loved each other.
Thanks for the review brother. I was going to get a Netflix sub for a month to watch it, but I don't think I'm going to bother. Same old stuff we've seen a billion times. They need to stop wheeling Priscilla out, as we know that her memories are unreliable and she wasn't always around anyway. And did they really get the number of live shows so wrong? Shoddy! Congrats again on 500 subscribers - well deserved!
I 've seen worse docu's ,nothing new for us "older" fans , I found the comments of Bruce Springsteen just great , you can tell he's a real fan , I saw somewere on facebook a cover for a bluray of the docu soon to be released ,fake or not ,not sure, thank you my brother
Yes fake think so to , although its a good (rehash)docu ,I'm still hoping on a new documentary of ttwii & on tour ,well not a docu so much ,just give us all the footage like they did with the 68 special dvd boxset
I think it was fine for newer fans. I still don’t understand why Wright Thompson’s opinions were spotlighted. As far as I know he is a sports journalist. What was his connection to Elvis? Did I miss something.
Hey ,good question ,I have no clue 🙂, maybe he's a fan ,or somehow involved with the production? I think its a very good docu , and indeed more for newer fans , but I'm thankful that after all these years ,he still matters . Thank you very much for watching👍👍
Elvis swore alot. Lol. That's were Lisa picked it up probably. Lol. He looked good in 73' for Aloha. 😉 But, then again, I think he looked good everyday. I may be #501 subscriber. I agree with you on the concert count.
Thanks for that great review of the new Elvis special. Unfortunately I don't have Netflix so I didn't get to see it, maybe one day it will be released on DVD or Blu-ray.
Hello 👋 David, David here! Great Name! Lol 😆 😊I have been an Elvis and Beatles fan for over fifty years I thought the movie was well made for the time they had to work with. Like you said it is a good film for Young people to watch. As good as the Elvis impression movie is, I think people should see the real Elvis. I injoyed seeing you collection in the background. I used to sell the King Creole poster in my shop called Movie Memories poster shop in Palo Alto California for 25 years now retired with my wife and Yorke Lilly in Florida. I signed up for your channel. All the best! 😎
@@chriskneubuhl2557 thank you so very much ,🙏🙏 I hope you will enjoy my video's 😃 wow Florida , seems like a great place to live , have you seen the site were Elvis filmed " Follow that dream"? Have a great day👍👍
@ Sorry no But I really like his movies 🍿 I wish they would not be so hard about them, he was making 3 movies a year and no one else has ever done that. I was sorry to hear that he was upset with them. I don’t know if he realized how much joy they brought to his fans who couldn’t see him in person. I’m sure they’ve were a mini vacation for a lot of people with locations in Hawaii and the world fair.
@@chriskneubuhl2557 I must say I like all of Elvis' movies ,even what they call "bad" ones , but then again I could watch him recite the telephone book and still enjoy that😁😁
Thanks very much for this review David. I had planned to see it at a friend's place last night but had to cancel. Hope to see it tomorrow at another friend's place. You've got me curious with your comments about Elvis' swearing! So what, for goodness sake, most people swear at some point. Stupid for liking an Elvis doco?? No way! I like everything Elvis too (except the exwife's film which was about her, not Elvis; and Albert Goldman's book!) . Even without seeing it, I think I will be agreeing with everything you have said. I'll talk about it on my channel once I've seen it.
In my opinion its a very good docu , he didnt swear in this docu though😃😃 , I was referring to the cartoon from last year 😁😁but its a possitive aproach for once and the commentary of the speakers is quite good especialy Bruce Springsteen he's a real fan , as for the Priscilla movie ...I didnt like it either😄Goldman was a piece of $#@!&%. Come back or no come back elvis was at his best vocally and physically in the 50s and early 60s and 1968 to 1970 was allso great but like I said 50s and early 60s he was at his best
You are absolutely right ,he was nt restrainded in the 50's ,more freeer, he got that back in 68 ,after that he became a more polished allround entertainer ,a man that knew his craft inside out , he grew more and more to be the legend we know today👍, great comment thank's
@DavidHuletlevensgoesting early 60s Nashville is when he was at his best voice smooth as silk and versatile flaming star wild in the country kid galahad proved he was a great actor elvis had many talents he hasn't got credited for thank you
There is much more to the story than what's told in that documentary. Lately I've seen an interwiew with the producer of 68 comeback, and he have some storyes to tell, but okay!
I watched it yesterday. It's very true what he went through and hated Hollywood the way they portrayed him.. lt was a wasted talent by Col Parker..the Comeback gave him freedom and breath of life and control over Parker.. That's was the only time he had for himself being Elvis Presley.
