Congrats Emiel👏👏👏! Great show again. To see and hear from James Burton always warms my heart. He was there every concert with Elvis?! Wow 🎶💪 I hope he is in good health now Have a happy holiday season 🕺🎶🎶

I enjoyed this month's video, Emiel! Congrats on 10K! I'm sorry to see the Elvis is Everywhere segment come to an end, but thoroughly enjoyed everyone's photos. Maybe again in the future you can get more photos and do the segment every once in a while. Have no clue about the very interesting trivia question, but look forward to the answer! Until then, have a great holiday season, Emiel. ~Gloria
Hi Gloria. Yeah, maybe the Elvis Is Everywhere segment is returning in 2026. (It will give people the chance to collect their Elvis sightings on camera). I am thinking of giving something else a focus in 2025. Not sure what..., but I've got some ideas. Thank you for watching Gloria! All the best. Kind regards, Emiel
Congratulations on reaching 10k subscribers, Emiel🎉❤. So well deserved ❤😊👏. Thank you for all the hard work you put into these monthly Elvis Presley news report videos, and keeping Elvis's legacy alive❤😊🥰.

Hi Emiel, great and informative video, maintaining your high quality standard! Expected though ugh? 😂 I watched the Netflix documentary, nothing new on it, but I must say I liked it a lot, it’s a positive view on our man, and it should do nothing but good for his image with casual viewers, I believe. About the trivia this month, the jumpsuit you are talking about is the famous Sundial, also known as Aztec, suit, first worn by Elvis in 1974 but most recognized for his extensive use during 1977. The leg design is a tribute to the Chrysler building! See you next month pal, looking forward to the 2024 year-round wrap-up on your part!!! 🎉
CONGRATS !!! Another fun and informative show. Saw the documentary and it was pretty good. For some reason, like the movie they chose to exclude the country western music that influenced Elvis so much along with R&B and Gospel. Also they made it sound as if his career came to an end in 1968. The Vegas opening was another high point as was Hawaii Aloha show and so many great engagements and recordings ! Like the movies Parker just kept pushing shows and tours, mismanagement. My other criticism was including Priscilla giving her flip flop remarks and bringing nothing new to the table. Also when discussing his relationship with his mom they didn't mention his twin Jessie Garon who was still born which was part of the reason their relationship was so close. The movies were fun and light entertainment and all not as bad as they made them sound.
Thanks for your compliment and to you I would like to say what a well-substantiated response you give! Thanks you so much for that. Kind regards, and till next time. Emiel Maier.
Mexican Sundial Suit is the answer this month. Thank you for discussing the Star Is Born documents that I brought to your attention which Angie showed.
...and thank you for letting me know! I was happy to make the rectification... I am never too old to learn something new about Elvis ;-). Kind regards, and till next time! Emiel Maier.
Dank voor het kijken Janneke! Tja..., A Star Is Born had wel een heel mooi toetje voor Elvis geweest..., maar ja het liep uiteindelijk toch allemaal anders. Groet, Emiel
Enjoyed the Netflix show very much. Wish they wouldn’t knock the movies so much. The more dramatic roles proved he could act while the musicals were sort of early versions of what would become music videos with a connecting storyline. All were apparently profitable. Hal Wallis once said - A Presley picture is the only sure thing in Hollywood. Just a pity they didn’t give him more challenging roles with more heavyweight co-stars.
I saw the ”Rise…” documentary and generally thought it was really good! Except the error at the end with the number of shows after the Special. Way to low but they corrected it later.
The (Mexican) Aztec Sundial suit ✨️👍🏻 the round thing on the front and back is actually an Aztec calender. He wore it first in 1974 at the Tahoe concerts and then not again until 1977.
Hi Michelle, Thanks for participating in the trivia. The answer will be revealed in my video of January 31st, 2025! I hope to see you there as well! ;-). Kind regards, Emiel (PS: Have you also taken a look at the video I uploaded yesterday? It has the yearly review of 2024!
I watched the Netflix show. My main reasons for disappointment were the presence of his ex-wife & people talking over his songs. On the other side, I loved hearing from Springsteen. They persist in saying his films got worse before the 68 Special, & dismiss the last 3. All of which are well worth watching.
...perhaps it is wise for the people around you, NOT to disturb you while you are listening to 'Do not disturb'. I would even go further by saying: "Hang a sign on the door!" ;-)
Hi Miles. Good question! ;-) I used to buy much more when I was younger. Nowadays I only buy the (expensive.) book set releases of FTD. I have all the "The Making Of..." sets, and I am looking forward adding The Making Of King Creole to my collection in the coming month. I also buy a bootleg once in a while, but not as many as in the early days. It really has to be something 'special'. Kind regards, Emiel
Really enjoyed the new Netflix doco. A few quibbles, but overall I thought it was excellent. Far better than the one in theatres two years ago. Too much Priscilla and unrelated shit, though. And, surprisingly, it intimates what I've always said about the '68 special: the black leather stuff is great, the rest of it is crap. Well worth a watch. As for A Star Is Born, Elvis himself backed out of it when he realised how much work would've been involved. Parker just took the hit.
As far as I'm aware Elvis never backed away from too much work. Quite the opposite! He was a hard worker, even more so if he was convinced of a project. See the '68 Special. He would have needed a supporting mentor like Steve Binder for that film, someone who gave him the confidence to do it. Because I think he REALLY would have wanted to do it, it could have been a game changer, and he would have been terrific I'm sure.
As I understand it, Elvis didn’t want to a A Star Is Born. A few of Elvis’ circle have said that, and it sounds plausible to me. Perhaps his health was too much of an issue by 1975 for him to want to meet the challenge.
The Best singer of the world !

As always great information love your video's ❤
Spread the word, Susan ;-) .

Fantastic - and congratulations on your 10,000 subscribers. A great reason to celebrate this New Year. Keep up the great work..
...and celebrate I will.... !!! ;-).
You too! Keep up the great work that YOU do with your elvisinfonet.com website.
Regards, Emiel
Emiel, Congratulations on 10,000 subscribers!!! Good job! I am looking forward to the King Creole album. Has it been released yet?
I saw the ”Rise…” documentary and generally thought it was really good! Except the error at the end with the number of shows after the Special. Way to low but they corrected it later.
Congratulations!
The answer to the trivia is: The Mexican Sundial.
The (Mexican) Aztec Sundial suit ✨️👍🏻 the round thing on the front and back is actually an Aztec calender. He wore it first in 1974 at the Tahoe concerts and then not again until 1977.
;-)
Mexican Sundial has the building design on the pant leg.
The tribute to the Chrysler Builing is on the pant legs of the Sundial suit.
@ElvisPress Sure did! My son and I look forward to your monthly updates! You're our official Elvis news channel!!! We love you! Keep up the good work!
@@michellearmenta1116 Wow!!! What a compliment !!! Happy holidays ;-). Till next video, which will go live on January 31st. Kind regards, Emiel
The Sundial Suit Terry from Australia
The jumpsuit trivia was on the side of the legs to the bottom of the "Sundial" suit.
I watched the Netflix show. My main reasons for disappointment were the presence of his ex-wife & people talking over his songs. On the other side, I loved hearing from Springsteen. They persist in saying his films got worse before the 68 Special, & dismiss the last 3. All of which are well worth watching.
It should be remembered that Elvis’ estate gets no royalties for his pre-1973 recordings.
...keeping this in mind..., than 50 million is an amazing amount. If there had not been a 1973-buy-out..., Elvis would be much higher on the list...
That is incorrect.
They renegotiated in the early 1990’s and now receive royalties.
No one loves Elvis more than me - but listening to 32 take of Do Not Disturb???
...perhaps it is wise for the people around you, NOT to disturb you while you are listening to 'Do not disturb'.
I would even go further by saying: "Hang a sign on the door!" ;-)

Emiel, do you purchase any of these sets you show? Would love to see some of your collection if you do!
Hi Miles. Good question! ;-)
I used to buy much more when I was younger.
Gene Doucette snuck the Chrisler Building design into the Sundial Suit.
@southerngirl9941 Sure, riiiight. 🙄
@@scottjenkins3095 happy you agree. TCB🙋🏻
@@southerngirl9941 Sarcasm isn't your forte, dear. 🙄
@@scottjenkins3095 freely admit I didn't get yours. Ok. It's still my view of it, and your dear I'm not, honey.
The memphis mafia said , Elvis wanted out of a star is born because he was suffering physically and mentally
Wen. Outtakes. Coming. Out. On. Tour.
Don't. Know.
As I understand it, Elvis didn’t want to a A Star Is Born. A few of Elvis’ circle have said that, and it sounds plausible to me.
Perhaps his health was too much of an issue by 1975 for him to want to meet the challenge.
The trivia answer is the Mexican Sundial suit.
