Nice video. You remind me of someone I met back in 2002 when I lived in Pittsburg Ca. by the Bailey Rd BART station. He was a very good fisherman and fished mostly off the shore at that time around the Bay Area. I went to Iraq later and lost touch with him. Sorry I can’t remember his name. I use to fish off the Berkeley pier for halibut then. I also fished out of my boat but never in a kayak. Nice work. Biggest halibut I ever landed was out of Bodega Bay! What a great trip that was with 2 of my other friends. We limited out there and when we got back to the dock Fish & Game happen to be there checking catches. When he checked us we were all good and he said the 58” one I caught was the biggest he had seen for a couple years. Unfortunately my friend who brought his camera failed to bring fresh batteries so I don’t have a single picture of that fish. 😭
If you have a smart phone which I'm sure you do, I'm surprised you don't have a GPS app on your phone just for times like this. Got my first halibut of the year yesterday 3/29 but was short at19" and that was trolling a Lucky Craft 110. I have a 14' aluminum skiff with a 15hp merc and a trolling motor, I'm too old to be fighting a kayak but with a small boat Im pretty much locked into the same weather precautions as a kayak. Great job on gaffe and a fantastic fish.
You can mark an area with your remote if you don’t have your fish finder 👍🏼. GPS enabled trolling motor 👍🏼 Love your vids. Thanks for all the info you provide. I will be trying for halibut for the first time ever pretty soon and I’m watchin’ n takin’ notes 👍🏼
I would like to see you kayak in Rio Vista and fish for sturgeon or close to Redwood city I have seen them when I paddle out past the power lines and between the two bridges.
Halibut on ultralight tackle or Ice rod. I’ve done it with an 8’ UL, 8lb fluorocarbon, 1000 size reel & a Zman TRD Ned rig. Also done it with a 36” Medium, 10lb braid, 500 size reel, TRD Craw Ned rig.
Wonder if you're trolling motor will survive the salt ? Years ago I used a regular electric not a salt water motor and it was rusted solid even after I washed it .nice video
Love all the videos, I'm here in Long Beach CA, just completed 2 knee surgeries, and I'm ready for some shore fishing this summer, looking for my 1st keeper halibut, where should I try?
Love the rock fish videos. And really look forward to seeing the new kayak on the pacific. And how the spot lock works out there. Tight lines Keep breathing
been watching your videos for a while and I just moved to the bay last month. any tips on accessible fishing for a large mouth bass angler from the midwest with a bit of gear and almost no budget?
Great catched. I use 80AH amped Outdoors battery and it last me all day trolling for striper and trouts. It's about $600 but it's so worthed. I did over 20+ miles one day trolling for trouts and still got juice left over.
I'm curious why you use the fluorocarbon leader. I know it is less visible but doesn't it also sink the line a bit more? I guess maybe when trolling it doesn't matter?
Hey looking like good and safe fun out there! I'd love to have some kind of kayak lesson with you! I just got one about three months ago but I haven't gone out yet! I don't want to go out there ignorant that's for sure.
What layers do you wear with the Ultra John wetsuit? I've see the outer layers (rain jacket, etc), but are you wearing a wicking layer under neoprene then fleece or something over it?
Ok so teach me the ropes on this Kayak. I have one on order and maybe you can do a video on you teaching me how to use the kayak and fishing for lings. What a great idea. ????
Hi Adam I watch your videos while I am at work at Ups concord ca It’s kinda like self torcher watching you catch fish. Hahahah. While I am stuck at work. I have been picking up some nice black bass in Franck’s track. By my side for the delta. Top water rat.
I'd like to see you enter a kayak fishing tournament and win. There should be one in lake county a few hours north of the bay soon. I think 1st place is $10,000
Have you tries using a trolling spoon with a large single hook instead of bending it? It seems it would make for a more “natural” presentation. Although, given your results, may not make any difference! Nice catches, great vids!
Do a trip around California and fish different lakes and dams. Nor, Mid, and So Cal. Have tons of videos and be able to connect to fisherman in their turf around cali.
When I use fresh herring for trolling I noticed the mouth opens and can keep your bait from rolling. So I went to the hardware store and bought some wire to twist tie it's mouth shut. It works great! So I thought I would pass that on.
i use my iphone tmark location...turn on the compass (privacy-location services= ON) and take a screen shot of the display. should give you a good indication of your gps location and elevation...then at home i can use google earth and punch in the gps coords; not perfect (in terms of getting back to the exact location; gps inherent anomaly) but pretty good --android I used a hunting app (don't recall but I"ll edit later)--It was called BackCountry Navigator awesome vids as usual!!
#GOOGANSQUAD!!! This dude's killing it and grinding on videos.... Y'all email manager Matt and share this video... Adam, consider doing a Bass spawning video on Clear lake bro... Just Saying! Thank you for all the hard, EXPENSIVE, work dude!
You probably know this, you can make your herring or other bait fish firmer by rock salting them. A good way to put a nice bend in the herring is to insert a toothpick behind head into the shoulder along the backbone to peg a nice bend in the body.
I'd love a kayak like that, or something similar, but they're soooo expensive. Far, far out of my price range. I have a little inflatable kayak, $150, it lets me putt around on small water.
First hey man you should go back and try trolling for them mister trout at shadow cliffs saw some big ones today caught 4,1 big one and 3 smaller ones u should really go back and try
Can you mention the general area where your fishing. Don’t have to be specific. One time I thought it looked like you were at San Luis Reservoir but didn’t see anything that verified it. Just curious. Thanks.
Good man!!! Taking more than just seafood out of the ocean, something that doesn't belong, & has the potential to kill many different marine creatures is an awesome deed. I do the same thing every time I go fishing in the LA/LB harbor area. It's my way of paying my respect to Neptune & Mother Nature. Glad to know I'm not alone, & thank again!!! JOE BLOW
To mark your location ... try using the GPS info on your phone. On Google maps tap and hold your location and your longitude and latitude will be shown.
I would like to see you fish with the monkey eels again. That was one of my favorite videos. Keep the videos coming, and Thanks
I would like to see him fish for monkeys using eels. That would be exciting.
That one was epic
Agreed!!
Ditto

This man needs millions of subs... always like your videos!! I like to see the catch and cooks and even the live stream ones you had in the past!!
I like him very mellow and nice guy
Let’s do a meet and greet Adam. We can all chip in and bring some food. Do some fishing together.
If you have a smart phone which I'm sure you do, I'm surprised you don't have a GPS app on your phone just for times like this.

Outstanding. What a blast you are having. Things here in northeast are warming up fish should be starting to get hungry can’t wait 😛
You always make me happy and envious. I would love to see your propulsion equipment and how it works. Nice halibut by the way.
8:30 I can see a great catch brother. I love your videos
Great to see you out on the ocean Adam with a nice keeper halibut. Stay safe out there. Aloha from Kansas

Adam, thank you for picking up the trash!!!😁
It was nice to meet you today out at the beach. Thanks for the videos and for the tackle advice.
Nice to meet you too!

I miss watching you fish with your shimano calcutta reel. Any chance of getting another one?
Love all the videos, I'm here in Long Beach CA, just completed 2 knee surgeries, and I'm ready for some shore fishing this summer, looking for my 1st keeper halibut, where should I try?
Love the rock fish videos. And really look forward to seeing the new kayak on the pacific. And how the spot lock works out there.
Tight lines
Keep breathing
I would like to see you take the kayak down the entirety of the Amazon river from Peru to the Atlantic and catch all the best fish along the way.
Not a good time for that currently... 🥺
@@brian1204 is it on fire again?
Never been here so early keep it up dude!
Do more beach fishing too.
Oh c'mon Adam, put your finger in there! We know Jun would! 🤣🤣😂 Nice fish Adam.
Great video dude try not to grab the shakers by the gills that can damage them and they can die 👍🏻
been watching your videos for a while and I just moved to the bay last month. any tips on accessible fishing for a large mouth bass angler from the midwest with a bit of gear and almost no budget?
Nice keeper to start the season! You might have to set your goals to catch 40 inchers in the Bay Area this year!
“It’s not a happy birthday to the environment”
*stabs balloon*
Boom! Lol

I want to see you catch more of those slammer crappie.
Awesome video! Can you tell us about your rod and reel?
What layers do you wear with the Ultra John wetsuit? I've see the outer layers (rain jacket, etc), but are you wearing a wicking layer under neoprene then fleece or something over it?
Ok so teach me the ropes on this Kayak. I have one on order and maybe you can do a video on you teaching me how to use the kayak and fishing for lings. What a great idea. ????
That bait is rolling it is twisting your line. Do you use a barrel swivel to prevent that?
Where were you fishing on the bay
Awesome Catch. Adam👍
I know this videos a year old but I want to get into kayaking and I want to know if you would recommend this Old Town autopilot for a beginner
Hi Adam
I watch your videos while I am at work at Ups concord ca
It’s kinda like self torcher watching you catch fish. Hahahah. While I am stuck at work. I have been picking up some nice black bass in Franck’s track. By my side for the delta. Top water rat.
I like the kayak setup for bay/lake setup...would like to see how it runs in the salt(i.e. wind, swell etc....) over a season
Hey Adam, What is the USB thing you mentioned?
What size rod do you like using for halibut
Oh yeah the wire is usually used to hang small pictures on the wall.
Nice catch bro!!
You could make multi-hook herring rigs from the balloon material .
I'd like to see you enter a kayak fishing tournament and win. There should be one in lake county a few hours north of the bay soon. I think 1st place is $10,000
You should put a solar panel setup so you can keep charging battery. Awesome videos. Keep posting your fishing trips
Have you tries using a trolling spoon with a large single hook instead of bending it? It seems it would make for a more “natural” presentation.
Although, given your results, may not make any difference!
Nice catches, great vids!
Great video...halibut are on my bucket list!
Very nice Adam. I hope to be so lucky next Friday.
You didn’t hear me telling you to use the GPS on your phone to mark the location! 🤣
Do a trip around California and fish different lakes and dams. Nor, Mid, and So Cal. Have tons of videos and be able to connect to fisherman in their turf around cali.
I wish u showed how u cook some of those fish
When I use fresh herring for trolling I noticed the mouth opens and can keep your bait from rolling. So I went to the hardware store and bought some wire to twist tie it's mouth shut. It works great! So I thought I would pass that on.
Take that Kayak Yellowtail or White seabass fishing in So Cal once the Squid Beds start to happen...
What pound line do you have on that reel?
i use my iphone tmark location...turn on the compass (privacy-location services= ON) and take a screen shot of the display. should give you a good indication of your gps location and elevation...then at home i can use google earth and punch in the gps coords; not perfect (in terms of getting back to the exact location; gps inherent anomaly) but pretty good --android I used a hunting app (don't recall but I"ll edit later)--It was called BackCountry Navigator
awesome vids as usual!!
I would like to see you go to the delta and fish for bass and bluegills
Add how you haul your kayak to fishing and from fishing. To one of your videos as intro and outro.
Would live bait with that set up work better just as well worse?
How long the battery on your kayak lasts?
I would like to see you do some mahi mahi fishing on the kayak
Whats up bro! Great video! Nice flatty! I think you should take your yak to Ensenada 😃
Awesome! Thanks for sharing!
#GOOGANSQUAD!!! This dude's killing it and grinding on videos.... Y'all email manager Matt and share this video... Adam, consider doing a Bass spawning video on Clear lake bro... Just Saying! Thank you for all the hard, EXPENSIVE, work dude!

Target some wsb when the season arrives, I’m sure you know where the are
what rod did you use?
I don't think a trip to the farallons on the yak is too much to ask 🤙
Why not place your tail hook on the spot repeatedly hit on missed strikes ?
I think Kayak fishing in inyo County or mono County for 6-10 pound trout. It would be epic.
Die Hard Fishing here making me die hard not fishing at home!!!!
That looks sooooooooo fun!
Nice hali!👍👍👍
Great footage adam!
I need to get you in the vid next time!
I must be blind caus I don't see any link for the battery or the silver flash lure
White Seabass from the kayak, Adam, that’s what I’d like to see.
Nice Gaff shot👌
Nice catch
I'd love a kayak like that, or something similar, but they're soooo expensive. Far, far out of my price range. I have a little inflatable kayak, $150, it lets me putt around on small water.
U should try carp fishing
Always watched your videos and liked em. Just not kayaking when you have to use your phone to slow down or speed up tho. To each there own I guess.
Just realized it was a controller. Still not my style. Great fish tho
I would like to see you fish for White Sea bass.
Dope videos bro
Good job buddy
Southern California is 22 inches for halibut.
First hey man you should go back and try trolling for them mister trout at shadow cliffs saw some big ones today caught 4,1 big one and 3 smaller ones u should really go back and try
Woah I picked up a pink balloon a few weeks ago at the same place! They must be breeding
Props for cleaning it up!
To you as well! 👍🏽
I just want to get you on Tomales bay with me halibut fishing
Can't wait for the hali bite in Capitola
Awesome!!
Mark your point with your phone?
Today I learned to never let balloons go again.
That's what I like to hear!!!!
Just today?!?
Nice fish that's what happens when you can go fishing on the weekdays
Can you mention the general area where your fishing. Don’t have to be specific. One time I thought it looked like you were at San Luis Reservoir but didn’t see anything that verified it. Just curious. Thanks.
This is the bay area.

We should put a vote to what we should name the kayak
That's a nice butt. Good info. Stay safe and good luck fishing.
Big halibut?
Alaska: hold my beer.
Those are some cute little halibut , still babies...
