I enjoyed the lesson very much! Thank you for the work! If I was in your shoe (in the video clip), I would never dare to call the nice waitress "em". My bravest move would be calling her "cô", or worse yet, "chị". And if I was in her shoe, I wouldn't know what to do if you called me "em". The southern way is always very sweet to me. Regarding the dish "hủ tiếu", when I grew up it was spelled ""hủ tíu", and "tiếu" would have been considered wrong. Northerners do distinguish the pronunciation of tíu and tiếu, and I wouldn't think they would rhyme the dish with "tiêu" (pepper) (hence in the past "tíu" was the only correct spelling). But it is a southern dish, maybe southerners get to dictate how it should be written. Nowadays I saw "hủ tiếu" written everywhere (blogs, recipes, food channels, etc... even books). It always amazes me how languages change. In English, sometimes there's a debate regarding spellings too (such as judgment vs. judgement). I personally would write "judgment" without the "e", just to be old fashioned. But I do say "I will" instead of "I shall", just to be contemporary! :-) It's so interesting to observe how languages change over time. Vietnamese is definitely a living language. So sorry for going off the topic! And sorry for picking on your "hủ tiếu"! I am interested in the writing system (mostly to teach the kids). I enjoyed the lesson very much and have learned a lot. Just FYI judgment is the newer spelling, judgement is the older one. There are some sites that claim otherwise but the word itself was taken from French where it's jugement with an e. English speakers would add an extra letter onto certain borrowings like judgement (jugement) and adventure (aventure). American spelling often omits what were deemed "unnecessary" letters like in color (colour) and programme (program); judgment is no different. There are many places near my parents' hometown in Vietnam that spell it hủ tíu but some that spell it hủ tiếu. Things become messier amongst diaspora Vietnamese who often write nhất as nhứt and prefer chánh over chính and gởi thơ over gửi thư.
Hủ tiếu is correct spelling. I was born in the south and it has been written this way in the south from the time I grew up, exactly from 1968. And this is the southern accent course.

How about making a clip about weather? Recently, it is sometimes rainy and sunny in HCM! When it comes to rainy day, there are vocabularies to learn, such as umbrella, raincoat...etc. Situations like puddles of waters on roads, not easy to flag down a taxi...etc. Anyway, it is what happens in my daily life in HCM and just personal suggestion.
Let’s assume that I order lunch in KFC. KFC staff might ask me：For here or to go? What is the Tieng Viet for "For here or to go"? If I would like to reply KFC staff I would like to “dine in” or “take away”，how to say “dine in” and “take away”in Tieng Viet?
why didn't you let her keep the change - considering you are making a video and will profit. Also , most foreigners will not ask 'can you give the change' - most foreigners will say - please KEEP the change - so you are not teaching realistic Vietnamese for foreigners....
