- New Orleans trumpeter Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah has a new record out. It’s called ‘Stretch Music,’ which is a perfect title. Not only does Christian stretch the idea of ‘jazz’ over all genres of music with this release, he also stretches how a record can be heard.
Members of Christian's sextet are Braxton Cook on alto sax, Lawrence Fields on piano, Kris Funn on bass, Corey Fonville ondrums and Dominic Minix on guitar.

@@Narikeljinjira glad it’s not just me. The album sounds so washed out and lifeless, it’s a real shame because the band and the tunes are absolutely killer
@@Narikeljinjira I’m pretty sure it’s due to the meaning of the song. He wanted to show his life experience being a twin and did that on the album by playing two different times. You obviously can’t play two trumpets at once so in the live versions the other part is usually played by another instrument.
He's putting all trumpeters on notice!
This theme is a masterpiece, it's just some few years old and it's already a classic. Phenomenally performed! Very glad to be part of this generation!
