The video game section in Wal-Mart was everything a kid could ask for in the early 00's. I remember one that had a whole living room set up with an Xbox 360, chairs, a couch, and a water cooler back in the day. You could sit in Wal-Mart and game for hours while your parents shopped. I'm not sure if they stopped because of the homelessness or because parents kept forgetting their kids at the store. 😂
Probably stopped because of a combination of homelessness and deeming it as unprofitable compared to just using the space for more product. Also, many places, including Walmart, don't feature video games very prominently anymore due in large part to theft. I remember a time when you could just grab a game off the shelf to buy it, rather than having employees open a glass cabinet and escort you to a cash register.
My local McDonalds had a GameCube with Spryo on it in the kids play area. It was behind some thick plexiglass but they ended up removing it after about a year because kids kept chewing on the controllers. Was fun while it lasted

Glad you got to experience it. Walmart is actually what's called a "discount retailer". They're similar to a department store in that they kind of sell everything, but with a focus on low price and a "no frills" experience. A lot of foreigners seem to think they're a grocery store first, but their expansion into full grocery with fresh food was somewhat recent, and they did it gradually over the past couple decades as stores expanded or were remodeled. They always had food but it used to be limited to canned/boxed/shelf stable foods and drinks and things like sodas, chips(crisps), snacks, etc

Always remember that every Walmart and Target is laid out pretty much the same way. Electronics/the most valuable stuff in the back middle, clothes are front middle, food section is always either the right or left side of the store, auto parts or outdoor/gardening stuff is always on the opposite side of the store from the food
The baby boy is so Cute 😍!!!!! Just found out he's a boy. Yeah, Walmarts are usually pretty big. They do have a huge variety of stuff. Glad you got to see for yourself 😊!!
@@keristrickland2208 I had watched another video and Adam said his name and called him a boy. But before I watched that video, I thought he was a girl too 🤔 😅!!
Those weren’t bananas. They’re plantains. Unlike bananas you cook these. You can slice them up thin while they’re still green, fry them, and salt them. They taste similar to potato chips. I forget what they’re called. The other option is slice them into chunks, fry them, smash them, and then put them back in the oil to finish frying the inside. They call these patacones in Ecuador. If they’re rip you would slice them the long way and fry them. They’re called maduro in Ecuador and they have a more sweet taste. My family comes from Mexico, so this is the way we usually have them, though in my family we usually eat them with sour cream
Walmart used to have a little in store cafe called the Radio Grill but it's all been replaced by in store fast food chains like McDonalds, Subway etc now. Those snack bar cafes used to be very common in discount department stores, Kmart, Target and others had their own versions as well, but they've nearly all dissipated now, Target seems to be eliminating the remaining ones in favor of a Starbucks in store
Most importantly, I'm glad you're getting to do this with your beautiful family. These memories (for two out of three of you, at least 😂) will last your entire lifetimes, just to experience something so new and different. Loving it, can't wait to see the hurricane reaction!
Hey, a Walmart visit, awesome!!!! Thanks for the vid and the investment in future content. Your daughter is an angel and hello to your partner. Take care!
1. When you get free refills and you're dining in, get the small drink and keep refilling it. 2. Walmart often has a restaurant inside. Sometimes McD's. I've seen Domino's Pizza. They also have their own bank. It's a decent bank. 3. It's almost always the anchor store for a greater strip mall zone. Mainly things that you can't get in Walmart. Often restaurants out by the main road. 4. They have an auto department. You can get tires, have the car aligned, oil change, stuff like that. 5. They make a smaller "Neighborhood" version of Walmart with just the groceries and such. You can't buy a TV there. Parking is much better.
My parents live just across the "border" from N.Ireland and have for the past 20 years. Yes, walmart is bigger than the malls in Ireland and has way more stuff. I love explaining to their neighbors what walmart is. "You can get your oil changed while grocery shopping and buying the new shotgun you wanted all while your wife is getting her eyes checked and never leaving the store.
I am just absolutely loving getting to see your trip. The hurricane was probably a bit more excitement than you wanted but a huge conversation piece. Welcome to America buddy and we hope you guys get to try everything you've been curious about and have a great time! 🙂
don't know if that walmart had it or not, but a lot of walmarts around me also have lawn and garden areas (garden supplies, lawn mowers, etc.) and an automotive section where you can buy certain car parts, and even pull your car into their own garage and get tires and oil changed. Not every walmart has the lawn and garden or automotive sections though.
I avoid Walmart at all costs. It’s a time warp-you go in for a quick trip and stumble out hours later disoriented and confused at how you spent hundreds of dollars when all you needed was a gallon of milk and some bread.
Between worrying about the fact that every c*nt could carry a gun, to wondering why every US store just seems like a place to pack up week/months/years of canned, or overly sugary/salty food, yeah.. I'd be overwhelmed too! Then you're already still recovering from travelling on US roads, which is, compared to even the most memed about country in terms of roads, Belgium.. like.. absolutely abysmal. Give the man some respect for even having survived this long already in a country ranked 132 on the Global Safety Index, just 1 spot above Iran!
My favorite way to shop at Walmart is to order it online, they text me when the order is ready and I go to the parking lot assigned for online orders and they bring my entire order to the car. Absolutely zero hassles! For a monthly fee you can also get your orders delivered directly to your home by Walmart delivery services. In my experience, the only reason to actually go into the store is if 1. The item is needed immediately or 2. I wish to people watch (which is best done about 9:00 p.m. on a Friday night).
I can't believe that you came all the way to the USA and you went to Walmart lol Not a place that most of us shop here. And then you bought McDonalds there lol, gross lol I hope that you at least enjoyed your experience
These videos help me appreciate how well we have it in the US for quality of life. Being able to go to just one store to get everything you might need is something I forget other countries might not have.

@@Plasmastorm73_n5evv I was young, but if I remember correctly, it was basically like high school sports concessions stands (cheap hot dogs, dry hamburgers, stale nachos with mystery cheese “sauce”)
Thanks!
Oh my god! Thank you so so much ❤️
@@MoreAdamCouser I enjoy your videos, it is the least I can do, happy to
That is the most tidy Walmart I've ever seen. I worked at Walmart for a few summers and ours was NEVER that tidy lol
It's nice seeing somebody who enjoys and appreciates America so much
😂😂😂 shopping with you is funny!! I feel like I need ADHD medication 🤣🤣🤣 Awww baby girl is beautiful 💜💜💜 our Walmart has Philly cheesesteak shop called Charley’s. No McDonald’s. But, ours in Texas was also built around a very old oak tree!!! Useless trivia!!
Can we trade? Mine (outside Philly) has a subway 🙄
Ours has Subway
A large Walmart is like 20 department stores, a full grocery store, a plant nursery, and automotive garage, and mini-mall all in it ne...
Minus the food court though, but give them time!😅
You missed the entire outdoor and auto care sections.
Welcome Walmart employee, as a sales associate myself, we appreciate you looking after Adam!
Adams gonna walk into a Tesco after he gets home and be extremely disappointed 😂
No one tell him about Buc-ees
I haven't seen a model bed in a Walmart in DECADES.
Pretty sure it was just a display for the bedding.
Don't worry, Adam. I still get overwhelmed & lost.
Just as long as I remember where the door is! 😂😂😂
Always remember that every Walmart and Target is laid out pretty much the same way. Electronics/the most valuable stuff in the back middle, clothes are front middle, food section is always either the right or left side of the store, auto parts or outdoor/gardening stuff is always on the opposite side of the store from the food
I know you're back home now, but welcome to the US! We love people who love us. ♥
The baby boy is so Cute 😍!!!!! Just found out he's a boy. Yeah, Walmarts are usually pretty big. They do have a huge variety of stuff. Glad you got to see for yourself 😊!!
She is a girl i think
@@keristrickland2208 I had watched another video and Adam said his name and called him a boy. But before I watched that video, I thought he was a girl too 🤔 😅!!
@@userdesorae She is a girl. Her name is Alaia.
@@keristrickland2208 so sorry, the other video was before Milton hit landfall. It was probably another baby 😊!!
😄😄😄 electronics in the distance 😂
Walmart used to have a little in store cafe called the Radio Grill but it's all been replaced by in store fast food chains like McDonalds, Subway etc now. Those snack bar cafes used to be very common in discount department stores, Kmart, Target and others had their own versions as well, but they've nearly all dissipated now, Target seems to be eliminating the remaining ones in favor of a Starbucks in store
If possible, Costco or Sam's club are some other places you should check out.
Preparing myself to watch you share videos from my neighborhood for the next few days. I wonder if I’ll see myself😮
Enjoy ya videos. Keeping smiling.
Have fun and be safe.
the smores pop tarts are soooooooooo gooooooooooood
@@generichardson4771 always buy the economy box, with 2 boxes each of s'mores and chocolate in them 💯
Smores pop tart are the best i totally agree!!!
Will you ever head to the north east? I was a tour guide in DC if you ever stop by here
I am just absolutely loving getting to see your trip. The hurricane was probably a bit more excitement than you wanted but a huge conversation piece. Welcome to America buddy and we hope you guys get to try everything you've been curious about and have a great time! 🙂
It's a plantain not a banana...
No idea what that isnhahaha
@MoreAdamCouser
Slice it up and fry it. 😋
@@peace-and-quiet Fried plantains are delicious. Very sweet, though. The only place I've ever had them is a local African cuisine restaurant I like.
Best. Walmart. Reaction. Ever! Well done Adam!
It's not how deep you fish, it's how you wiggle your worm.
don't know if that walmart had it or not, but a lot of walmarts around me also have lawn and garden areas (garden supplies, lawn mowers, etc.) and an automotive section where you can buy certain car parts, and even pull your car into their own garage and get tires and oil changed. Not every walmart has the lawn and garden or automotive sections though.
I avoid Walmart at all costs. It’s a time warp-you go in for a quick trip and stumble out hours later disoriented and confused at how you spent hundreds of dollars when all you needed was a gallon of milk and some bread.
Something so heartwarming about watching people appreciate what we take for granted! ❤❤❤
You seem a bit overwhelmed. 😅
No, 12 dollars is not cheap for "some veggies"
One of the nice things about shopping at Walmart is you don't have to do cardio afterwards.
Maybe the best video so far, getting to watch you do it instead of react to it was surreal. Like you broke the 4th wall and got stuck for a video
I can't believe that you came all the way to the USA and you went to Walmart lol
Not a place that most of us shop here. And then you bought McDonalds there lol, gross lol
I hope that you at least enjoyed your experience
What an adorable baby!
Hi mr awesome
These videos help me appreciate how well we have it in the US for quality of life. Being able to go to just one store to get everything you might need is something I forget other countries might not have.
