@@D00DM00D Yes, I really hope Sonic makes a return and is not considered a joke anymore. I wish the games were getting as much praise as the Mario series.
Shadow's campaign is the highlight of the game for me. The final cutscene where he vows to fight for humanity no matter what has to be peak Shadow. I also really loved his dynamic with Silver as a mentor, the respect he has for Sonic, and his water tight bond with Team Dark. Making him work for GUN was a genius move as well.
By far my favorite story in the game. I honestly think 06 purposely only uses Sonic as a way to advance the plot, and the main highlights are actually Shadow and Silver. It’s interesting and I like it.
@@SilverSpireZ Iizuka don't know shit bout how Shadow is meant to be portrayed. He thinks Shadow is meant to be some dumbass, 1-D asshole edgelord who doesn't care for anyone and hates teamwork and friends. That is the complete antithesis to Shadow's character and only the atrocious Boom Shadow would be written that way
@The Hegehog Enthusiast There's alot of flawed games that didn't deserve the hate and neglect they got and/or get which I appreciate, TLOS is an example and no, it's not just the story but Element Ideas and Music.
This basically encapsulates everything I've been saying about 06 for years. Yes, the game has a metric crapton of issues that can't be overlooked. Yes, the game is objectively bad, on a technical level between all of the bugs, the inconsistent graphics and frame rate, the absurd loading times and sheer volume of loading sequences, and some questionable moments in the story. But in spite of that, the story still manages to be fairly compelling and communicate the core themes of the characters' ideologies in an organic way. Shadow is at his best in this game by a country mile, even surpassing his characterization in SA2, arguably. It completely wraps up his story arc from SA2 by showing him finally reaching his redemption as a person and ending his story as a definitive hero with friends and comrades who would fight and die with and for him . Sonic 06 was ambitious as all hell and it shows. It missed a lot of the marks, but it wasn't afraid to take those shots, every step of the way. The game oozed style and ambition in all of the right ways. I would be ALL for a Sonic 06 remake, if Sonic Team ever found the confidence to give it a shot.
@Hkg 1 And focus without ambition gets us low effort videogames that are 'safe' and boring. They're both part of a larger equation, and I'd honestly rather see Sonic Team flounder about with ambitious new ideas that don't necessarily always hit the mark, than to see them take the Game Freak approach and just only ever make safe, unimaginative games that are guaranteed to sell.
People seem to forget the reason 06 was garbage is because ITS NOT COMPLETE. Im not saying we should excuse Sega for being idiots and forcing Sonic Team to release it too soon but the reasons its hated tend to be to "follow the trend" of "06 bAd har har". Everything about the game oozes with creativity. Yes even the story which by the way would have gone through revisions if Sega didnt fuck up and say "release that shit now". The ambition this game had still has my respect even to this day. Something i cant say post-2010
Very well said. All of the ingredients for a good game are there, Sega just forced Sonic team to take it out of the oven while it was still raw though.
I have my own issues with the game besides the glitches though I prefer pretty much any other 3D sonic. Except for secret rings that’s way worse than 06
Crash Twinsanity was rushed beyond belief, and that was considered to be the last good crash game before the N Sane Trilogy. What’s 06’s excuse? It has so many bad design choices and a story that is pure fanfiction that would make any sane person want to kill themselves at least. Nothing about it felt ambitious to me. It was a hollow shell of what the Adventure Games were.
@@Starry_Horizons They can make her just have her tear drop on him (similar situation of Elsa with Anna.), also her crying is a big deal since her crying is what let Iblis out.
It's a real shame this doesn't have any more views than it does. I always find it comforting to find videos like these talking about the good things about Sonic 2006 because there's a lot more to it. If wasn't know for its buggy messes or the low frame rate and if the creative people were given more time to work on it. Then it would be praise as this amazing game and would of change the way Sonic games were forever.
Good to see someone showing 06 some love too! 06 has one of my favorite Sonic stories as well, giving depth to some of our favorite characters. Personally, I feel Silver has one of the best stories in the game, especially with him struggling with the morally grey conflict of sacrificing a life for the sake of the world, which is fittingly never answered as it's never an easy question to answer.
@@chaomix I think it has to do with the fact that Sonic was doing so many different things at once that it really soured people's perception of the games around the time, even if they weren't that bad. Personally, I enjoy the series for going outside the norm and doing new things, and while things could be fleshed out further, I at least appreciate that they try and do something different rather than do what everyone else does and plays it safe.
One thing I have always noticed. Most of the people who tend to do nothing but complain about a series and call it shit and/or garbage. They never were fans in the first place. They are just looking for something to complain about because they are petty, childish people. And its those same haters that have ruined the Sonic franchise. Because now all humans are being removed, all serious stories are being removed and Shadow's compassionate & kind personality is being removed and replaced by edginess & copying Vegeta all to appease the people who never liked the Sonic Series to begin with.
Yeah, I agree, Sonic needs to stop being portrayed like a Mario. I love his personality and style in Smash, hes my go too, even if I get recked from time to time. I want too see more of it in future titles. The JRPG style is the way they need to go. some of the darker themed comics were dope too. Not sure why they are afraid to explore a more adult oriented audience. The hard core fans are definitely not kids anymore. Great Vid man. Only a matter of time until the algorithm gods start to notice! Look forward to watching your future projects.
Some people think kids don’t want a compelling story, but that is strictly the opposite. Kids want a story that doesn’t talk down to them, and treats them with respect.
I really do not get what the endgoal is with Sonic at this point. Even tho I like lost world, it really misses the point of its own existance. The reason why one would make a marioinspired Sonicgame in the first place would be to innovate on the inspiration, not make it weaker and weirder. Since the beginning, Sonic was supposed to be the cool alternative, not the cynical one.
@@craftygamerones9494 Exactly, that's one of the reasons why I loved Super Mario Galaxy as a kid growing up, was that it had some degree of semi-deep serious story and lore to it. When I found out later that that was a rare lucky occurrence for Mario and that stories like that were frowned upon, I was disappointed to say the least. Just because I was a kid doesn't mean I didn't want story in my platformers, quite the contrary.
True, but his impact on the plot is still practically nonexistent. If there's one issue I have with this game's writing (I do have more, but this isn't about them), it's that Tails and Knuckles were kind of squandered. Outside of some very minor things that anyone could have done, they're just kind of present, and also brought low in the cutscenes in a way that looks like it's supposed to make Sonic seem cooler, but is really just demeaning.
@@maithwaite_productions4789 And he was the worst version of Tails. His speed was greatly reduced which is sad because he was considered to be one of the few people that could keep up with Sonic. The dummy ring bombs do nothing but clutter the screen and kill the frame rate. Just because they had him, doesn't mean they did him justice.
They stopped using the Unleashed model a while ago. I didn't notice until RadicalSoda pointed it out, but you can see it in Lost World and Forces, they keep shortening his limbs and quills and lightening his fur to make him look more cutesy and closer resemble his classic counterpart (which further invalidates the need for Classic Sonic to be in Forces).
Sonic 06 deserves SO much more love. I’m so god damn sick of people bashing on 06 just because it’s 06. It’s one of my favorite Sonic games of all time. I’ve almost 100% completed it. Why? Because I enjoy playing it. I’m gonna defend 06 for as long as I live.
No it did not deserve it because final product was badly executed which what matter when publishing a video game (or any product for that matter). You're allow to love this, but doesn't mean we have to. Stop making people excusing a bad making game just because you like it.
@@joeda900 Who's even bringing up 06 these days besides apologist that wanna dunk on any new game that's considered bad? Fanboys like the one who posted this video are the ones who can't let go.
@@URFTBOUND4LIFE I always loved Sonic 06 it's one of my favorite Sonic Videogames along with Shadow the Hedgehog Sonic Unleashed and Sonic and The Black Knight.
I recently played through 06 and was surprised at how much fun I had. The only glitches I did encounter was the characters spazzing out on ledges, the box glitch for Sonic, and Silver’s door trick in Dusty Desert.
You can tell that '06 tried to do something new and cool and be ambitious, something Colors onward seriously lacked. That ambition sort of fell on its face, but the passion was still visible, and there are people out there who see the potential in this game and try to piece together something great, be it the gameplay or the story. Too bad Sega doesn't understand _why_ people disliked their flops.
I’ll give the verdict since I just played an emulated version of it on my PC. Just as fun as I remember it. Still just as buggy, but had just as much fun. Soundtrack is exquisite. Story is fun and graphics are good for a 2006 game.
Sonic 06's potential is actualized in the fan project: P06. It's a Sonic 06 remake with better physics, way less bugs, and no slowdown (depending on your pc of course)
Shadow in 06 was a really good character. Sure, he rode a bike, but he wasn't a edge lord. Especially his last line in shadow's story about he always fighting no matter what.
And then he turned into Forces Shadow and stopped caring and then Iizuka said that Team Dark never existed and Shadow is stuck being a jerkass forever.
Hey man, I made it to the end of your video. I too would pick 06 any day over forces. More people are inclined to agree that 06 whilst flawed, offers a lot more than current Sonic games. I really miss the 2000's style of Sonic, both games and other media. I don't agree with all your points - for example I personally think Knuckles' character wasn't great here - but you defended them well and most I did agree with. Also your video has good production qualities, especially having a decent mic (Something my video's desperately need) so I just wanted to let you know you should keep up the good work, I can see you are passionate about it.
The Mighty Emperor aw man, thanks for the kind words. You’re definitely right about some of the characters not having a big spotlight like Knuckles. He’s basically a side character in this game. But yeah, the 2000s era Sonic was always super fun, I really miss it.
Maybe this is a hot take but, I feel like Sonic 06 is even more fun all the glitches it has. Its something about glitchy games that are always so fun for me.
There's a few things I know and I wish I could've recorded what I found but I know how to replicate them so I'll oneday get a new copy of the original and locate them, some glitches are ones I can't trigger intentionally unless I'm lucky enough which I have an extreme amount of luck, it's good but I'm more unlucky so the good luck won't last so I can make the game do what I want but like I said, it doesn't happen alot but my luck has gotten worse so it's stronger to likely trigger what I want but I won't know until I have the game again.
They're fun glitches that make the game more open and silly, like the infinite shrink gem thing. This isn't always the case, but sometimes this makes a bad game better.
9:16 i still have this vivid childhood memory of me on the car ride to elementary school asking my dad "dad can we go on vacation to soleanna? i want to see sonic!" and him just laughing. i remember being annoyed that he never answered the question but now i know why. I was a dumb little kid lmao.
Sonic 06, even without Project-06,is a misunderstood masterpiece in my opinion. Seriously, the only bug i found was a spring in the tornado that that i got into while homing and it happened for like 20 seconds. Criminally overlooked.
I tried to buy Sonic 06 from GameStop but the guy at the counter literally refused to sell it to me He said "I won't sell you it because I don't want to get peper sprayed"
I'm making this comment before I finished you video (don't worry I'm going to watch it all the way). Sonic 06 is by no means the worst game in the series. I'm really getting sick and tired of people saying its the worst. I can list a number of Sonic games worse than 06. The only reason 06 is labeled as the worst sonic game because it was a rushed unfinished game released during the height of Sonic's popularity which was then followed by the internet using sonic as the butt of every joke. As for the games in the franchise worse than 06; Sonic Shuffle, Sonic Pocket Adventure, Sonic 3D Blast, and Sonic Labyrinth. Just to name a few. Based on my experience, most of the people who say 06 is the worst/bad are not Sonic fans (as in they don't actively buy and play the games), or they are part of the fan base that say Sonic should never have gone 3D. Regardless of my first two points being irrelevant or being wrong, Sonic 06 is not that bad compared to the other entrees to the franchise. The story is one of the best in the series. Despite its bugs and glitches the game can be completed. It continues the trend of a sonic game having an amazing sound track. It gets all the characters written correctly. Which some could argue with wasn't done to Shadow in the past two main games. It also contains a lot of content. Their are side missions, which the base version of sonic adventure did not have. I could go on, but I think I made my point.
Everything about '06 screams: "This would have been great if they had more time." THIS is the lesson SEGA should have learnt from '06, that it's better to have a great game that has been delayed, over a rushed game that's awful. It took them a while to get this straight, but I think that they might have finally learnt the right lesson from '06.
I heard that they were going to scrap the game early on and stopped development on it after the E3 demo. This is why the E3 demo version of 06 has big fixes that the final goes doesn't have. I mean I've even heard that stopped developing the game for 6 months at some point.
@mrcristofer 2013 I said I think, and we can't be sure of how good the next game will be without any sort of evidence. Your claim is completely unsubstanciated.
Honestly I love Sonic 06 unironically It introduced one of my favroite characters of the entire series,Silver, who has a great story And Shadow's story was top notch,it was the ultimate peak of Shadow and showed how he evolved as a character, and that ending custecene says it all Sonics story is nothing special tho lol
06 is that one homework assignment/school project that you worked so hard to try to perfect and worked day and night with blood sweat and tears to get it done because you really want to have a good grade and impress your parents and prove to them that you can do good. Up until you realise that time is running out and you haven't done the spell check and the experiment is taking longer than you thought its would and you are getting super over whelmed and stressed and had to cut something's out and piece it together to at least make it consistent to show that the idea is still there. Time is up and you turn it in and you get a "D" because its not finished and have bad spelling or explanations when presenting and they refuse to give you more time. You tell your parents and they are disappointed in you for not completing it and getting a bad grade. And then later years you decide that there is no point in getting ambitious because it could either be really good and finished or bad or people wont apritiate your hard work, so you half ass on the rest of your work resulting in uninspired projects (forces).
Well you see, you want to look presentable to. 06 wasn’t presentable... those “spelling errors and such” are still a legitimate problem. The D (or in this case, F) is well justified. Participation awards mean shit! :)
@@HammerBro101 Tbf, no... BUT, I would do my best to avoid trying to replicate that trash assignment. I would stop trying to rely on ambition 100% because that is a huge reason why the game failed. 06 was wrapped in its own pretentious ambition to not realize the actual condition it was in during development. Want a Sonic game with Ambition that actually delivered, try Sonic Adventure or Unleashed. Because they were not only loved by fans, but also didn’t tarnish the franchise.
@@HammerBro101 In fact, 06 is basically that kid who threw a temper tantrum because he got an F since he’s too god damn pretentious to see WHY he failed. “Because I worked so hard”. Sorry, kid... but we all work hard In this world, you’re not special.
I totally agree with this. This could've been the best sonic game ever if it wasn't rushed and I firmly believe that. A minor change to Sonic's story, lower loading times and less bugs and I really don't think any sonic game in the next 20 years would've beaten it. It's soo sad to realise how poorly this beautiful gem was handled.

From memory, "Sonic 06" was the first sonic game I've played, I had it on the ps3 and I remember it being really fun. No matter what others think, I want Sonic Team to remake "Sonic 06"
Sonic: That was cool! Pun entirely intended. Eggman: I'm starting to hate you even more. Tails: And I'm starting to think it's better to go protect Master Emerald, I can't stand you and Knuckles doesn't do his job anymore.
Sonic 06 is a breath of fresh air compared the mediocre repetitive generic trash that came out in the 2010s. 06 at least tried to tell a compelling story add more history and lore, and made a lot of characters playable each with their own unique features and abilities. Plus Shadow wasn't an douchy asshole with an insane ego and superiority complex that dismissed everyone around him as pathetic. He was a serious but heroic and selfless man er hedgehog who moved past his mistakes
@Do Nathan, yeah the only reason it doesn't look as bad as 06 is because Automation hides the terrible physics, and just bad acceleration. Lemme tell ya, hiding bugs and bad game design under automation is no better, or maybe even worse than actually trying to put effort into a game.
thank you for mentioning sega using the same/similar models- i am so sick of sonic feeling exactly the same from game to game when his design always lended so well to stylization, i feel like that used to be one of his strengths
Even though Secret Rings was my first console Sonic experience, the first game I saw through Best Buy promotional displays and screenshots online was Sonic 06. That character render was the first iteration of Sonic I was introduced to, and the most nostalgic to me. Sure, 06 has flaws due to rushed production, but there’s enough love for the game to be reworked from the ground up in project 06. We get to see what could’ve been in terms of gameplay. I hope Sega tries another game like 06 someday, but take their time to polish it of course
06 was my first hype. When I first got into sonic, adventure and hero's and such were all ready out and got to play and obsessed with. Got a magazine in the mail and they advertised sonic 06 and silver and was so hyped for it and the new character (who I thought was a girl for some reason till I heard the voice or saw the face.) Didn't have an Xbox 360 and it was so upseat that I wont be able to play it. Till years later when I finally got the Xbox in 2014 and then got 06 in 2016 or 2017.
Great video. If I'm honest, I'm of the opinion that I disagree with a lot of the points you made about the game doing something well (I know it was the purpose to try and find the good in it, I just couldn't bring myself to give it THAT much credit). To reiterate, there's multiple points I DO agree with you on, I just found myself disagreeing with most of the specifics that would go into why these were suggested to be done successfully. HOWEVER, I do have to agree with the biggest point of the video, and it's with that which I truly agree: It truly TRIED. Sonic 06 is a game that needs no introduction. It was a buggy mess, an incomplete mess, a rushed mess, but it tried its very best with what it had which wasn't a lot. I'm about to say something VERY outrageous now but I still feel it has to be said. Sonic 06 is a horrible game and Sonic Forces is a mediocre one. By normal game developer standards, this would mean Sonic Forces is objectively the better game. Unfortunately I HEAVILY disagree with that statement. There's not a single shred of humanity inside of me, logical or otherwise that can bring myself to say Sonic Forces is the better game no matter what. In everything Sonic Forces did, I couldn't feel an inch of passion in what they were trying to do. It felt as if they were simply ticking off a checklist in order to please critics (though I don't think that worked too great). Has Boost gameplay? Check. Has a slightly more edgy story like fans wanted? Check. Has Classic Sonic to draw in the Classic fans? Check. On and on, etc, etc... Sonic 06 wanted to be the next big "Sonic Adventure" for crying out loud. It had BIG shoes to fill and by God it really tried hard to fill them no matter how short it came. It wasn't just simply ticking off a checklist, it had a foundation it wanted to build on for crying out loud. Incomplete or otherwise, things were there because they were WORKING ON IT. A story that may have been a bit heavy-handed, sure but wanted to give MULTIPLE characters a shot at growth and exploration of their backstory? Check. A hub world that wanted to serve as an area to which the player could practise their skills and give their journey a purpose? Check. Bangin' music? There's one thing for certain, you can never fault the music for 06 but, Check. Characters that play similarly but have their own core gameplay focus to keep them apart? Check. I could go on but when it comes down to it, there's not a single thing I can actually look at Sonic Forces for and say, "Yeah, they tried to do this better than Sonic 06" because they didn't. It didn't TRY to be a better story than 06 or try to be a good story in general. It didn't TRY to give us character development or story motivation even an inch more than 06. The PREMISE of Eggman conquering a majority of the planet sure sounds like a cool idea. Did they try to make that believable? Nope. Forget 06 for a moment, it didn't even TRY to be the same game that it literally claimed to be in its advertising. Sonic Colours? Sonic Generations? How about I play NOTHING like ANY of those two and instead give you controls that make Big the Cat look fun to move around in? Anyway, I didn't plan for this to turn into THIS big of a rant so I'm gonna stop it here since you probably get my point lol. If I didn't catch myself, I probably would've continued for another half hour. Anyway, despite what I said it's still a well-made video. I truly want to see a timeline where Sonic 06 was never rushed out the door and got to see its full potential. I know it sounds weird but I honestly don't think we would've had anything close to the same product identity-wise. Like of course bugs would be fixed but I honestly wouldn't put it past them if it turned out even the story got tweaked had the game gotten time to naturally develop. Hope to watch more of your videos soon! :)
Sonic 06 is my 1st and favourite Sonic game but I even don't consider it as a game but more as a generous buggy demo.Yes having potential and being good are not the same things at all.
@@zubair-rp1ie I don't think it's the absolute worst game or worst in the series (glances at Shadow and Secret Rings, my GOD Secret Rings!), but it's still quite dull and not really worth playing.
This the first Sonic 06 video I've ever seen to not have a 10 minute long rant about how awful it is that Elise had a crush on Sonic and decided to make the first move
I love 06 think its a fascinating game and I love hearing the early production stories, I just keep trying to piece together what the original story was supposed to be. Not sure I can defend the clashing artstyles though, but I guess Elise's design is just a holdover from before it was a sonic game and they at least tried to make Eggman match. (I do actually really like Eggmans design in this game, I just love seeing his eyes behind his goggles for some reason). But then we have the townspeople and they dont come close in terms of style and then of course the sonic characters making it a complete mishmash. Still that could've been a sega decision, if its anything like Boom they clearly dont like making huge design changes for them. I'd take 06 over forces any day, they reached for the stars only to crash and burn but it was entertaining disaster at least, if it hadnt been rushed out it would definitely more liked.
I actually like the 06 style humans. I guess its because I watched Sonic X growing up so I got use to the style clash. I do understand where others are coming from though. Seeing Mario Walk alongside normal looking people did give me a bit of discomfort because its not something you are use to seeing.
Sonic 06 keeps being my favourite Sonic game and the fact is actually the 1st I played doesn't influence my statement. I like this game for the direction it took. Each character has his own core gameplay, they are not just clones like in most of previous games (SA2 particularly). A really mature story with the best villain of the franchise, Mephiles. The best characterization for Shadow and the best gameplay for Silver, especially with P-06, I rather a Silver without spin dash stuff. I know the game has huge problems and it's bad on its own. But it still has many good things in I can't stand anymore that situation where SEGA acts as if the game didn't exist and keeps delivering its childish shit. I played 06 at 8 years old, didn't understand nothing about the story but I was just happy because it was a Sonic game. Basically the Sonic series doesn't need to specifically aim for the children, they already like the characters. They need more mature and shonen direction, to keep the hardcore fans who are adults. Anyway, the 1st improvement I wanna see is the end of the childish graphics they have, and uh all I said is purely my opinion and engages only me.
I respect your opinion but this game still objectively blows, but that's only because of execution, this game could have been absolutely amazing and we can remake it any day? (that would be hard)
Wait what do you mean the character's in SA2 don't stand out with each other? You have 3 main gameplay styles and an opposite to spice things up. Not sure what you mean by they're the same at core.
@@hydrochloric007 In SA2, Sonic/Shadow, Tails/Eggman and Knuckles/Rouge have for each pair, exactly the same gameplay. Sonic runs, Shadow uses hover shoes. Tails and Eggman made exactly the same stuff. Knuckles punches and Rouge kicks. My point is playing one is like playing a skin of the other.
@@hydrochloric007 I agree, the execution is really bs. Some fans are already working on a remake on pc as "Project-06". All Sonic's action stages are available currently and it's a little more challenging and totally better than the retail version. There is also a mod for the retail which improves the game and gives a new set of difficulty to the action stages.
Sonic 06 is like forces in a way. 06 being an adventure style game gone wrong and forces being a boost game gone wrong. 06 had a ton of potential. This game definitely did a lot of good for sure.
I recently got hold of Sonic 06 and I've been playing through it for the first time... it's very glitchy but in a way that feels unfinished rather than uncared for. I think what surprised me about the game is how much it feels like it could have been Sonic Adventure 3. It controls like a more janky version of Sonic Adventure 2, and it carries on the over-the-top serious story which I like. it just feels like, if they had another year to work on it it would have been really good
Man oh man this video was great! I’ve always had a soft spot for Sonic 06, being one of my favorite sonic games for such a long time. I literally agree with every point you made. This game could have been the best Sonic game to date if they just tried harder and didn’t stick to the 2006 release date. It’s such a shame but at least we have ChaosX to literally prove how good it could have been.
I'm here on Wednesday September 11th 2024 2:41 AM Central time. I don't think this is the end of more advanced stories in Sonic games. People were very excited for the concept of a darker story in Forces but were dissapointed by the lackluster execution. The silly story of Colors was what the series needed in 2010, but I hope Sonic Team learns the right lessons from Forces; those lessons being that it's okay to have a darker story every once in a while, and that people liked Mania for it's execution and focus, not because that baby blue boomer was there.
Colors was a mistake, the series didn't need to treat itself like a complete joke. What the series needed in 2010 was more of what we got with games like Rush. The 2010s direction killed the Sonic Series the moment it started.
Sonic 06 had 1 of the best stories in the series, & was ambitious. The problem is that it released for 2 consoles whose audience was never going to appreciate it & Sonic Team was completely unfamiliar with the hardware compared to GameCube. If Project 2021 released in December for PS5 & Xbox Series X it would just be repeating the development mistakes that were made with Sonic 06. None of the 2010s Decade Sonic games except Mania had any ambition & The Just Sonic mentality was a huge mistake that never should have been allowed to happen in Unleashed. I think you underrate Black Knight, although we can only hope the series returns to form soon. Humans looked best in 06 in my opinion, while Unleashed people looked the worst. I want Sonic to feel like a Japanese Series again, I want to be able to play as characters other than Sonic, & I want Sonic games that actually try to be good rather than trying to shove bad jokes down our throats. The series needs to take itself seriously again & we need full 3D, while the characters should feel like who they did in the 2000s decade with Shadow taken from 06.
I completely disagree with the human side of the argument here. The Unleashed human models looked wayyyy better than the Sonic 06 ones, which just look bleak to me, but that's just me though.
@@SpeedyBlur2000 Unleashed People look way too creepy. They were either fat or twigs with no middleground to the point they don't even fit Sonic's Earth as established from past games. I don't think you could take Unleashed Style GUN Soldiers seriously.
I remember the first time I played 06 in 2007. I actually loved the game, and still love until today. I know the game has a lot of bugs and stuff, but I get him thinking of a cool adventure and I get it. It was epic for me even with the flaws. It have one of my favorite soundtracks and everytime I feel down in my life I watch the ending of Sonic's Story and remember the "If you've got time to worry, run". My real only complain it's having to switch the entire language of the console to play with the japanese dub. But overral, I preffer a game with flaws and soul instead of a game with no soul at all. (Sorry if my grammar is bad, I'm not a native english speaker)
the idea of humans being in sonic games sound way better than having humans in Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance it was so weird fighting humans as a anime character holding a giant key
I bet if the game wasn't buggy, the humans didn't look weird, and the story was tweaked a bit. It would be the greatest Sonic game of all time. Maybe even knock Mario out of the park. (And no, I do not hate Mario, I just think more people would buy the game and talk about more today positively)
The Gems are a big help especially Gun Drive which Sonic throws the Blue Gem I think across and he gets slingshotted across the area but honestly I've beaten 06' after figuring out how to fight back against the glitches and what would help speedrunning it in a breeze with no mistakes is getting my body to help take over, I did this in the PS3 version of Sonic Unleashed without slowing down and making it through places like Eggman Land like a God but I couldn't even remember what exactly happened which is the same thing as Goku's Ultra Instinct even though I understand why I cant do this anymore because the task made my body peak and you know what that means, it is weaker now and so I'm now unable to get my body to do this again which might be due to me mastering it now and am already in tune with my body so there's no need for me to enter that near-subconsious state anymore. Also if you haven't, you should check out Project Sonic 06' because not only is the game improved but the models are improved which in a Proof of Concept cutscene ChaosX made, Sonic now grits his teeth and looks far better, the engine used also fixed those poor lighting and textures because it's rebuilt from the ground up, they're literally working on Shadow's Story as we speak so you're gonna love it.
The thing I can't get past with this new era of Sonic is all the little winks and nods at the camera. Used to be Sonic would spout a one-liner and then do his thing, take out the boss, etc. Now, it always has to be undercut with an eyeroll or a self-deprecating joke, or just awkward silence as if to say "did he really just say that?" It's almost like they're trying to push the idea that Sonic's style was never cool. His look, his attitude, his casual smirk, that one finger pointed into the air like he's chastising you from the screen for taking so long, it's like they think everyone's moved on from "that awkward teen phase" and now they all just want meta humor and snark. Truth is, Sonic's attitude was part of his charm. It was unironic 90s attitude coupled with genuine heroism. It's what made him so freakin' awesome in the first place. And that's the key word here: AWESOME. Not cute. Not funny. Not ironic or snarky. Unmitigated, unparallelled, uncontrollably _way past cool._
It very well might be. It's the last mainline game that let's you play as Sonic's Friends and have them use some semblance of their old movesets. This was the last game I got to play as Amy. Her segments were short, but I loved every second of it.
I agree with your main point. I never understood how or why the Sonic franchise got to state its in with Sega not straying from its boost engine. I just don't understand the jump from Sonic 06 to boost. Sonic 06 was a best selling title on pretty much every console it was available on. I never understood why they didn't take the good from the game polish that and fix the bad and make a proper sequel. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Its just one day they decided to put half the effort into the games and ship them out.
Sonic 06 in theory was everything fans wanted, but the brokenness and incompleteness of the game destroyed its reputation so bad SEGA decided they had to reinvent the entire franchise for some reason.
It was a good seller on initial buy. Until word got out on how badly reviewed it was it quickly plummeted to people wanting something completely new or to go back to old form. Its pretty much whats happening again today with sonic forces- the cycle repeats...
I'm just trying out 06 for the first time, and although I'm only on the second stage, it's already captivated me. I felt more roaming around the hub world than I did playing the first level of Forces from the demo. This game truly is filled with that Sonic Team confidence. I say this after having played some of the greats like SA2, Unleashed, and Generations. My only complaints so far is that some of the characters feel kind of slow and the amount of load screens, but I wouldn't say the load times are bad, I've definitely played games with longer load times. It controls well, and I did already encounter a glitch but does it kill the game for me? Nah, the game just needed to be finished to be great, as it stands it's good.
I always thought this game was just slightly below average and a missed opportunity with huge potential, not one of the worst games ever made. This is probably why I have such a soft spot for Sonic R lmao.
I always loved Sonic 06 it's one of my favorite Sonic Videogames the others are Shadow the Hedgehog Sonic Unleashed and Sonic and The Black Knight and seriously I'm also mad the humans are removed and the darker edgier and more serious stories are removed and all Sonic and his friends' character development is gone and all for nothing. Let's hope Sonic Frontiers is going to fix this because I prefer The Sonic Characters in the human cities and towns better because Eggman being the only human doesn't any make sense. Plus I like Sonic X it got me into loving The Sonic Series and I like Elise and Chris Thorndyke.
I’ve been playing Sonic P-06 recently and I can’t stop playing it. It’s just so fun and I find myself actually being at work and can’t wait to get home to play SONIC FRIGGIN 06 of all things!
I honestly love Sonic 06, The villains were actually threatening it wasn't afraid to show Blaze and Sonics death and at the end. You play as Super Sonic Super Shadow and Super Silver and fighting against the god of times, It's the best and most intense boss ever!
This is why I didn't want to change up the story of Sonic 06 too much in my recent rewrite (well, it's less that and a description of what I would change.) Quick summery: - Blaze and Elise are adopted sisters, and Elise is a dove (Story Surgery inspiration there). Elsie also has Innserse (Solaris' soul; another Story Surgery inspiration) within her, while Blaze has Iblis. Both are in an intense argument about if it's a good idea to mingle with their subjects (Blaze learned moral values from Sonic Rush and Elsie being a bit of a sheltered, spoiled brat at first). and let their powers loose around the Jewelled Spectre (which houses Mephiles). Combined that with the Sol Emeralds being nearby, there's a white light. Blaze is both Dimension and Time displaced while Elsie has to manage the Festival of the Sun on her own. (Also forgot to mention, Solenna is in the Sol Dimension now, Gallorous64's inspiration). - Sonic, Tails and Knuckles' story mostly focuses on Elsie and her slowly learning different things from each of them. How to be more carefree like Sonic, how to be more strategical like Tails, and from Knuckles, she learns what it means to truly be a protector. If I remember right, they also gather the most Chaos Emeralds in my version of the story as well. Elsie and Blaze also have an argument later on in the story (Radical Train) on if killing Sonic was the right thing to do, and Elsie drags Sonic off the battlefield so she can check over him for injuries. Sonic protests, saying that Shadow's intervention was all he needed. LOL! And Elsie only gets kidnapped *once* near the end of the story. She uses her spirit powers from Innerse to keep up with Team Sonic during gameplay. - Silver, Blaze and Amy's story doesn't change too much, but we do keep Blaze's Sonic Rush history intact. (Sonic Rush Adventure didn't happen yet, but that's neither here nor there) Most of the Sol Emeralds are recovered in this story too. One other thing I did was actually have Amy and Blaze interact with each other, and Blaze is conflicted on what she should do. Silver was a new friend, but Sonic was her old friend. She really doesn't want to kill him, but she also didn't want Silver's future to remain in ruins and flames. One other thing I should mention is that I slightly changed the Shadow/Silver boss fight. Instead of just Shadow and Silver fighting each other, Rouge comes in to help Shadow while Blaze comes in to help Silver. - Shadow, Rouge and Omega's story remains mostly the same, with the added context being that Future!Shadow ended up going insane over the deaths of Rouge, Sonic, Amy, Tails, Knuckles, you name it. And Rouge also forgot to set a designated year, so Omega came out of standby mode too early. He found the Future!Shadow and tried everything in the book to reason with him. However... that was fruitless. So he sadly sealed Future!Shadow away. Omega then came to help the Shadow we all know later on, but... the damage had been done. Shadow actually *forgives* Omega for the act, much to Omega's shock, as he knew that it was too much for his future self to handle. The trio put their hands together ala Sonic Heroes. - The Last Story's plot stays roughly the same, but I changed a few little things. Elise and Blaze are taking the gang to their castle for some food (well, Omega decided to go home to charge his batteries) as it's been a rough adventure. However, when there's some problems arising with strange energy, the groups split up. Shadow, Rouge and Silver go to investigate what the Chaos Emerald is doing, Tails, Knuckles and Amy alert the castle, and Blaze, Elsie and Sonic check to see the strange energy behind them. Unfortunately, Mephlies strikes Sonic and Blaze, *hard*. Blaze is only barely able to recover as it was her power drawn out, not her life... but Sonic... not so much. Both sets of Emeralds send the group to the space-time distortion and... everyone grieves for Sonic in their own way. Tails is sobbing and being hugged by Knuckles, who is in a state of denial. Blaze feels guilty for nearly causing the death of her dear friend, but is able to hug Amy, who is shuddering. Rouge is lost for answers, Shadow is enraged at Mephlies, Silver is horrified that he nearly caused this, and Omega is pointing the finger at Eggman for the whole thing. Then the whole bit where they realise Sonic's spirit is still around is in play, and the group venture out to save Sonic's life. - The revival scene is MASSIVELY changed. One by one, each character goes up to Sonic and says something to him. In no particular order… Elise: “Sonic… you made and your friends me see the truth about ruling a kingdom. It isn’t just about ruling and governing them… but also protecting them. I owe much to you, Sonic…” Tails: “You took me in at an early age… and the first person who thought I was cool! From eating chilli dogs to stopping Egghead, we did so much… You’re the best big brother I could ask for, Sonic!” Blaze: “As well as Cream, you were the first one to help me open up to others. I was foolish to think I could look for the Sol Emeralds alone back then. And we both fought hard to get our worlds back to normal… So keep on fighting, my friend.” Knuckles: “If not for you, Sonic, I would have stayed alone forever. Angel Island may be relaxing, but without you, life is quite dull. Don’t give up, buddy! Fight like I know you will!” Omega: “I know we aren’t that close. But if there is something I respect about you, it is that you defy Eggman. It would be a shame to lose you prematurely.” Silver: “Sonic… I am very sorry. You were trying to protect everyone, and I nearly caused your end and the world’s destruction. In the few minutes I knew you… you were a really good hedgehog. You can make it!” Rouge: “We aren’t as close as I think we should be, Big Blue. Your free spirit almost parallels mine. And… I never forgot your act of kindness, when you gave me Shadow’s inhibitor ring on the ARK. The least I can do is keep you alive.” Amy: “Oh, Sonic… when you rescued me back on Little Planet, everything in my life felt huge! And I wanted to prove I could be a hero too. Please, my love… please hurry back.” Shadow: “Sonic… you’re my equal in nearly every way. I know you are too strong to be kept down by Mephiles for long. Give it all you’ve got.” Sonic springs back to life in his super state. He is hugged by Tails, Amy and Blaze, gets a fist bump from Knuckles, some relieved words from Rouge, some banter with Shadow and a friendly hug to Elsie. Then, Sonic, Shadow, Silver, Blaze, Elsie and Knuckles all go up to stop Solaris. After the final battle, it's revealed that Elsie feels Solaris... crying out, like it was missing something. She puts her hand to the candle, and Innserse goes back inside. Solaris is a benevolent phoenix wrongly tampered with by humans. Time is restored, Silver moves to Blaze and Elsie's world, Soleena's put back where it belongs, and things are back to normal. The End!
"Sega does what Nintendon't" Sonic has forgotten the meaning of that phrase, and they've grown shy and timid to try new things and stick to them. They are so desperate to fit in that they forgot that there's nothing to fit.
Nice video! Even tough I enjoyed both, I would chose as well sonic 06 over sonic forces. Sonic 06 had more ambition, original levels, better story and level design. Sonic forces was just disappointing...and even if i liked the avatar it would've been more fun with fully 3d levels with better level design and better controls. Unlike sonic 06 sonic forces just feels empty and mediocre. I hope that Sega learned their lesson and will surprise us with the next entries!
8:18 i actually disagree with this philosophy i think consistency is probably my favourite aspect of this current era; the constant changing of models was probably my least favourite part of the dreamcast era
I remember when I was a kid, I loved this. To this day I can't get myself to hate 06. Even If I thought 06 was bad there is worse. A lot worse (looking at you forces).
Sega/Sonic Team needs to grow a pair of blue balls and just go back making decent games with good stories and good use and *FULLY CONTROL* characters again. I'm so sick of this childish tone and pussy-around stuff in this decade. Hell, Sonic 1's story is more intriguing than this decade's games.
Speaking of most criticized point... Elisa kissing Sonic. Do people even realize what they imply when they claim it to be "Zoophilia"? That Sonic, a Mobian is an... Animal? So basically, you call a sentient being of a race that simply have animal-like features... to be an Animal. Isn't this "Criticism"... a bit racist?

@Olivia 757 Sword and Shield isn’t the same situation. Sword and shield was the latest Pokémon game. It makes sense. 06 was made 15 years ago.
@@chaomix same 06 made Shadow fleshed out rather than an asshole edgy Vegeta clone today
It’s even more insulting when you hear how Iizuka said that Team Dark aren’t friends. WHAT?!
@@SilverSpireZ Iizuka don't know shit bout how Shadow is meant to be portrayed. Silver was never shadow's mentor. They saw each other as respectful peers.
Seeing people sharing the same love towards 06 that I do is heartwarming
It deserves more love!
@The Hegehog Enthusiast There's alot of flawed games that didn't deserve the hate and neglect they got and/or get which I appreciate, TLOS is an example and no, it's not just the story but Element Ideas and Music.
And ur name 😂😂
@Welp it’s literally the most notorious game of all time... 😐
@Welp A vocal minority, I’d say 99% of people dislike it.

But it IS! Lol
15:51 cartoon animals can still be badass though like Sly Cooper or the TMNT. I miss when Sonic was Shonen
Especially the TMNT, something everyone remembers and think highly of.
@MC. Gemstone I called Ryan Gren (@chaomix's real name)
Silvers story is awesome! And yeah, it tackles some interesting topics like you mentioned. Not sure why people diss the story so much.
What's ironic is that current Vegeta is who Shadow used to be.
Mr.Gaijin thanks man, and yeah I hope so!
Funny that you say that, he's been stripped from his personality in smash games too, compare brawl and smash ult and you'll see sonic is a dead puppet
At least Tails wasn’t completely helpless in 06.
Exactly. Unlike Forces that they made Tails into a cowardly Fox.

I always loved Sonic 06 it's one of my favorite Sonic Videogames along with Shadow the Hedgehog Sonic Unleashed and Sonic and The Black Knight.
This video made me actually go back to sonic 06 and do a full playthrough.
What's the verdict?

I’ll give the verdict since I just played an emulated version of it on my PC. Just as fun as I remember it. Still just as buggy, but had just as much fun. Soundtrack is exquisite. Story is fun and graphics are good for a 2006 game.
Sonic 06's potential is actualized in the fan project: P06. It's a Sonic 06 remake with better physics, way less bugs, and no slowdown (depending on your pc of course)
Yep, I talk about it towards the end of the video. One of my favorite fan projects ever!
Shadow in 06 was a really good character. Sure, he rode a bike, but he wasn't a edge lord. Especially his last line in shadow's story about he always fighting no matter what.
Not to mention the fact that he fights by his friends even tho he was told that he'd be betrayed by everyone.

Cody Colgen the glitches do be kinda fun tho 👀
There's a few things I know and I wish I could've recorded what I found but I know how to replicate them so I'll oneday get a new copy of the original and locate them, some glitches are ones I can't trigger intentionally unless I'm lucky enough which I have an extreme amount of luck, it's good but I'm more unlucky so the good luck won't last so I can make the game do what I want but like I said, it doesn't happen alot but my luck has gotten worse so it's stronger to likely trigger what I want but I won't know until I have the game again.
It makes it funnier to traverse through levels when you know the glitches and can access hidden areas
They're fun glitches that make the game more open and silly, like the infinite shrink gem thing. This isn't always the case, but sometimes this makes a bad game better.
Going trough closed doors with the blue gem was fun! Does it count as a glitch? 😅

YEESSSS bro finally somebody gets it. Totally agree with every point you made. Thanks for watching!
That’s almost point for point what I debate in this video lol
Why do you think Pocket Adventure is bad? I found it to be an alright game, nothing too special, but still fun.
"One of the best stories in the series" you're funny.
@@icee1683 and you are annoying. I'm surprised you even watched chaomix's video.
Everything about '06 screams: "This would have been great if they had more time."
THIS is the lesson SEGA should have learnt from '06, that it's better to have a great game that has been delayed, over a rushed game that's awful.
Honestly I love Sonic 06 unironically
It introduced one of my favroite characters of the entire series,Silver, who has a great story
And Shadow's story was top notch,it was the ultimate peak of Shadow and showed how he evolved as a character, and that ending custecene says it all
Sonics story is nothing special tho lol
That basically sums up Sega nowadays.
Well you see, you want to look presentable to. 06 wasn’t presentable... those “spelling errors and such” are still a legitimate problem. The D (or in this case, F) is well justified.
Participation awards mean shit! :)
@@gameman5804 I know the D is justified, but are the loss of ambition and uninspired projects justified?
@@HammerBro101
Tbf, no...
@@HammerBro101
In fact, 06 is basically that kid who threw a temper tantrum because he got an F since he’s too god damn pretentious to see WHY he failed.

During my playthrough of Sonic the Hedgehog (2006), I barely encountered any bugs or glitches that were "awful" or ruined the gameplay.

I'm not even joking with this: Sonic Forces < Sonic 06
@@hydrochloric007 fr fr, Forces had no effort in it
@Do Nathan, yeah the only reason it doesn't look as bad as 06 is because Automation hides the terrible physics, and just bad acceleration.

It had a lot of potential but my god, its one of the worst video games in existence
"This was the last game to lean towards a realistic art direction"
Sonic Rangers seems to be changing that
The 2022 sonic game is now called Sonic Frontiers.
@@Alexis-yc2ti Yes, that does seem to be the case.
Sonic is all about confidence, when sonic team lost its confidence, they fell apart.
I can’t believe this is your first video
Like an unfinished rushed game
Sonic 06 may suck but I still like it for what it is. A hot mess.
It's still better than Forces, Boom, Lost World and Colors.
We need a Sonic Heroes 2 or Shadow the Hedgehog 2 or Sonic adventure 3, we need this style back
Sonic 06 is like forces in a way. 06 being an adventure style game gone wrong and forces being a boost game gone wrong. 06 had a ton of potential. This game definitely did a lot of good for sure.
Thing is, 06 had passion, forces did not
I recently got hold of Sonic 06 and I've been playing through it for the first time... it's very glitchy but in a way that feels unfinished rather than uncared for. I think what surprised me about the game is how much it feels like it could have been Sonic Adventure 3. It controls like a more janky version of Sonic Adventure 2, and it carries on the over-the-top serious story which I like. it just feels like, if they had another year to work on it it would have been really good
It could probably complete with Super Mario Galaxy.

In Sonic 06, It's Not The Kiss That Bothers Me, It's The Fact That No One Did Anything To Stop It!
I agree with so much in this video. Awesome! Would love to see this kind of storyline and character depth in the future.
Man, time flies. I remember finding your channel through your Chao Garden video and now your at 20k subs, Congrats for a year!
The Unleashed human models looked wayyyy better than the Sonic 06 ones,
which just look bleak to me, but that's just me though.

Chaomix: the games trow a lots of enemies
Sonic: " Hmph, thats a lot of enemies."
„ please give us a new sonic model“
Looks back at sonic boom
„Actually make smaller steps pls“
the idea of humans being in sonic games sound way better than having humans in Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance
it was so weird fighting humans as a anime character holding a giant key
I bet if the game wasn't buggy, the humans didn't look weird, and the story was tweaked a bit. It would be the greatest Sonic game of all time. Maybe even knock Mario out of the park. (And no, I do not hate Mario, I just think more people would buy the game and talk about more today positively)
Ok but I actually found the "pun entirely intended" very funny
Yep, I’ve played Project 06 and it’s everything I’ve ever wanted. Can’t wait for the next update with Shadow!!!
I bet Sonic 06 is the Sonic adventure 3 due to character variety.

Chaomix's dog is literally part of history
I'm just trying out 06 for the first time, and although I'm only on the second stage,
it's already captivated me.

I actually really like 06. I completed that game 100%, all silver hub world medals, S ranks, and I even purchased the dlc haha
This is why I didn't want to change up the story of Sonic 06 too much in my recent rewrite (well, it's less that and a description of what I would change.) Quick summery:
- Blaze and Elise are adopted sisters, and Elise is a dove (Story Surgery inspiration there).
In no particular order…
Elise: “Sonic… you made and your friends me see the truth about ruling a kingdom. It isn’t just about ruling and governing them… but also protecting them. I owe much to you, Sonic…”
Tails: “You took me in at an early age… and the first person who thought I was cool! From eating chilli dogs to stopping Egghead, we did so much… You’re the best big brother I could ask for, Sonic!”
Blaze: “As well as Cream, you were the first one to help me open up to others. I was foolish to think I could look for the Sol Emeralds alone back then. And we both fought hard to get our worlds back to normal… So keep on fighting, my friend.”
Knuckles: “If not for you, Sonic, I would have stayed alone forever. Angel Island may be relaxing, but without you, life is quite dull. Don’t give up, buddy! Fight like I know you will!”
Omega: “I know we aren’t that close. But if there is something I respect about you, it is that you defy Eggman. It would be a shame to lose you prematurely.”
Silver: “Sonic… I am very sorry. You were trying to protect everyone, and I nearly caused your end and the world’s destruction. In the few minutes I knew you… you were a really good hedgehog. You can make it!”
Rouge: “We aren’t as close as I think we should be, Big Blue. Your free spirit almost parallels mine. And… I never forgot your act of kindness, when you gave me Shadow’s inhibitor ring on the ARK. The least I can do is keep you alive.”
Amy: “Oh, Sonic… when you rescued me back on Little Planet, everything in my life felt huge! And I wanted to prove I could be a hero too. Please, my love… please hurry back.”
Shadow: “Sonic… you’re my equal in nearly every way. I know you are too strong to be kept down by Mephiles for long. Give it all you’ve got.”
Sonic springs back to life in his super state.
The End!
tbh I liked the different styles of game from the Adventure games.
21:34 that's exactly why I prefer Shadow over Sonic and Team Dark
After watching this video this video and listening to what you said. I can say without a doubt that this is why I love that project 06 exist.

i actually disagree with this philosophy
i think consistency is probably my favourite aspect of this current era; the constant changing of models was probably my least favourite part of the dreamcast era
Why won't SEGA make a Sonic 06 reamake?
When is Project 06 ever gonna be finished?! It's like the Duke Nukem Forever of fan games!
I seriously can’t wait just for the next small update. It’s soooooo good 😃
@@chaomix Why aren't other fan devs trying to help out the one single developer? They need to get off of their butts and start programming.
@@Nathan-rb3qp You know exactly why, the bad image Sonic 06' has gotten because nobody you ask will want to play it due to bugs and criticism.
@@artistanthony1007 Wouldn't they love being able to make a bad game good?
@@Nathan-rb3qp programming is a lot harder then you make it out to be
i really want a remake of this game to fix the bugginess
6:23 is where he *start* starts the video
I remember when I was a kid, I loved this. To this day I can't get myself to hate 06. Even If I thought 06 was bad there is worse. A lot worse (looking at you forces).
I still wanna know who all approved of the princess romance/kiss 😂😭 and the people that had to animate that crap
You’re right about it looking beautiful in a better engine *cough* P-06 *cough*
It’s actually amazing how good it looks for an early ps3 game just by putting it in Unity.
@@chaomix it was made for 360 first and foremost
@@Sydney_Angelyt Oh I didn’t realize that, I’m pretty sure that version runs better also which makes sense.
@@chaomix yep, the PS3 version is even worse than the 360 version.
Pretty much all games of that time were made for 360 then ported
@@Sydney_Angelyt I know, I had nastalgic memories about watching family play this on there 360, so I got it for my PS3 recently. I played it for 3 hours, then my PS3 crashed and now it has that light of death. No regrets lol
I still love Sonic 06 do this day, it may not be the best, definitely not, but the creators just let loose and added a helluva lot of amazing play styles
i want you guys to know in the infinite multiverse theres a world where sonic 06 was a great game and not a buggy mess.......just food for thought about how dark our timeline is.
