So sick! I really want to make one too, maybe make him for Christmas Haha! Since is too late for Halloween. Trying to figure out doing it without 3D printer but I have sculpted Jack a few times so will try a sculpt maybe??? IDK thanks for this video, super inspired!
Thanks! I would recommend doing a sculpt with lightweight clay for the head and even dowels for the hands! All in all though if you have the time, it’s possible!
@@Highpointdecaf I’ve been a little busy, but I plan to try and get his remixed head and other files on Thingiverse this week! I’ll let everyone know when there on 🤗
Like this video if you’re watching this crazy thing 2 years later! 🎃 (Also subscribe cause I’m releasing a new Nightmare Before Christmas Project THIS November! - as October got busy and I’m still working on Zero) 🎃
I believe I didn’t scale it at all, or not that I remember. I printed it just on a 256 mm^3 print bed for reference. If you want it smooth, make sure to isolate the head model, then import the .stl head file into Blender and apply a subdivision modifier to it (I believe I set mine to 2) this gives it the smoothness. (I didn’t remix it on Thingiverse because of the large polygon count preventing an upload). Hope that helps!
Hey Ryker, awesome video! I’m in the process of making one for Halloween, thanks for the helpful video. I have no experience sewing, but would like to give it a try just as you did. Would you have info to that material you used? Thanks again for the inspiration to make one.
Thank you! I’m not sure what fabric it is, but I believe I got a simple black fabric for this project. It was easy to cut and sew! I just measured and kind of eyeballed the suit pattern stuff haha. Then after sewing, I used a white fabric marker to draw white lines on him. You can also use liquid stitch if you don’t want to sew! I did that when I did some updates on him. Hope this helps!
Unfortunately due to this being copyrighted by Disney I cannot reproduce or manufacture it for purchase. I do offer the 3D print files I remixed or personally designed for free! Most of it is just diy sewing and tinkering. So my apologies, I can only help make one but I can’t sell you one.
@@rykerdrake no worries! I have an artist looking at your files. He is wondering what size you printed the hands feet shoes and neck at for your full scale. I was hoping to do a 6’6” model. I’ll take any assist you’re able to give! I think this is amazing!!
The 3D print files should all be up to scale! You just slice and print the files. I do need to add the new shoes to Thingiverse I reconfigured recently in the shorts series I uploaded
I could! But you’d have to pay for the plastic used and the shipping potentially. Thingiverse offers print services as long as it’s personal and non commercial use
I designed them to be at scale with his head. His palms are around 2” x 2” with the fingers spanning between 3”-6”, especially when attached. But they’re at correct scale if you just throw them into a slicing program 🤗
I know maybe is too much for asking but, what sizes of pvc tubes you used? I want to make one too but I don’t know how to ask for the sizes in the store 🥺🥺
You’re good! I used 3/4” for the arms and body structure, then I used converter pieces from 3/4” to 1” for the legs. So his legs are a sturdy 1” pvc. If your talking about lengths of pipe, I believe I bought around 2 1” pipes that were like 6ft long, then like 3 3/4” pipes around 6ft long as well. I cut them accordingly to fit his scale.
If you google ‘Thingiverse’ you can download free shared 3D print files. I put pieces of Jack on there, so just search for my profile ‘radmaster3’. Then you’ll find the hands I created on there and I believe the neck piece. I still need to get the shoes up on there tho. As far as the head goes, it’s too big of a file for Thingiverse, but I can try putting it on again if you’d like!
@@rykerdrake You're the best! If you can try to put the head up there that would be amazing! I'm working on a prop and getting a head model would be so useful! Maybe split the model into pieces?
I’m so sorry Theo...I cannot find the head file :(...or the shoe file...I may have to rebuilt both. But hey if you wanna make Jack’s dog Zero - that’s my next video. Coming out next month with that vid and the 3D print files 🤗
Awesome! If you get a chance to put them up on thingiverse that would be great. I subscribed so ill keep an eye out, also working on a zero prop so can't wait.
👏.👏.👏.
Fantastic!
Thank you!
That turned out amazing! I love the details you added around the mouth and fingers.

The head came out AMAZING! Id love to print this for myself
I’m going to try and put the head file on thingiverse. If not, I got the basis for the head via this 3D print file www.thingiverse.com/thing:1892351
@@rykerdrake that would be so rad! I’d also love to get my hands on your remixed file. Thanks man!

This is so great 😮👏🏼
Going off the ModernGnome head for Jack, how much would you scale it up to fit the custom neck and hands you have on your Thingaverse profile?

Hi Ryker, you still out there? I see this was quite a few years ago but I am trying to figure out how to get one of these myself. :)

How did you get the armature to stay standing/prevent it from falling over?
I drilled holes in a wood board I made, then I just secured the pvc pipes in the board to keep it from falling.
@@rykerdrake Oh, awesome. Thanks! 😊
Podrías darme las medidas
How big did you make the board for the armature to stand on?
I just did a rough size. But it measures 20”x22”
Awesome work! I’ve got a project for you. Let’s discuss it sometime.

For the 3D prints or the pvc?

Around $100 in material 🤗😅
