  • Fort Simcoe was originally built in 1856 near some cold springs called Mool Mool. It only lasted three years and then was turned over to the Bureau of Indian Affairs. While efforts have been made to restore some of the original buildings, it has a dark history of abuse and neglect toward the Native Americans, in particular the Yakama Tribe. It causes one to contemplate and reflect on our countries past. There is a somber feeling as you walk these grounds of this area near White Swan, WA.
