Not to be rude, why is there a Tesla in line at the gas pump?
Gas for home generator
LOL I was thinking the same exact thing, it threw me off for a sec
Generator.
Generator to top up his EV
Good question though!
At the beach? But will want to be rescued and have first responders risk their lives when that inevitably backfires? Insanity 😅
Florida is not known for brainiacs..
It’s not expected for 48hours? I mean even reporters etc are there, but you would think a sense of urgency to pack and go would prevail
@@jule3480 that’s more what I mean. If you’re already going to stay in an established dangerous situation, you could at least be preparing
What you do is go to the Beach and wait for everyone else to leave the city. Then 12 hours before the storm comes, you take a nap. Then wake up in 10 hours and leave. No cars on the freeway, so you make a great time, feel relaxed from hitting up the beach, and rest from 10 hours of sleep.
@@Jeffrey-s9nSave all the rips for silly mfs
There is no higher ground in Florida. It’s completely flat!
No its not , look up Clermont Florida , grew up in Miami and here in Clermont is not flat
@@truthfacts57minneola especially
Not necessarily. I mean, there are hills. Just not many. The center of the state is a little hilly. And even though the ground is "flat" you can still get hundreds of feet above sea level... You only need to be 50 feet max above sea level to not get flooded
Thank you. Florida is the flattest state of the 50.
and its already water logged from the last storm... theres going to be ALOT of water damage from this one.
Tampa General Hospital is a horrific location right on the water. And they have over 10,000 patients. They always "ride out" the storm. Absolutely awful.
They have an Aqua Fence and have used it successfully as recently as Hurricane Helene.
If they are a level 1 trauma center they have patients that are too acutely vulnerable to evacuate.
@@lisalatkowski1543 Helene didn't hit Tampa directly... we'll see about Milton. I think they should knock down TGH and build another hospital of that size somewhere in Tampa on higher ground. Of course they're not gonna do that until the hospital gets totaled. It's all about money.
Yeah I'm not sure the aquafence is 15 foot
Probably aren’t patients on the first floor
i have a bad feeling about that storm
The storm is dangerous enough on its own, but with all of the soil inundation from Helene it's going to be an even bigger flood risk than it would be otherwise. Even the inland communities have a lot to worry about.
Ja, and people are still out there!
Yes, it's called a hurricane.
Really?
Prayers for Florida 🙏

@@MikeDavis-be8gf People like you make me wish I was a republican.
Why aren't both lanes being used for evacuations,? It's insane that they aren't. One lane could be open for those traveling south. Come on DeSantis get realistic you fool.
Have you seen Americans drive?
People still need two lanes to take care of life stuff. FOOL
They're doing that soon
People still need to get back home. Healthcare workers, police and firefighters (like myself) aren't evacuating. I will be driving home at 7am Wednesday morning after my shift.

Get out NOW !!!!! 😮
Please quit with all this scaremongering! Absolutely PATHETIC!
@@importedmusic good luck 👍
NO!!!! I'm not letting some storm run me off my beachfront home. My home is on stilts
Don't forget to mention, insurance companies are dropping people's coverage without warning in prone flood zones in the hurricanes path.
That's what insurance companies do in times of risk. They cancel you. Insurance companies were designed to make money, not lose billions of dollars
That should be illegal!
@@jule3480 should be and even the gov said, those insurance companies shouldn't be doing it to customer's.... No action to block that from happening
To bad our governor has been busy banning books to bother actual doing anything useful around these type of issues.
@gregorylyon1004
Good to have insurance company stocks
Why not open 3 of 4 southbound lanes to accommodate evacuations, Florida?
I can't believe they haven't done that ! 😮
That's a really good idea!
theres still about 24 hours till the storm begins, and it is most important that unnecessary accidents do not occur.
I'm assuming The need the south lanes open for gas trucks and whatever else supplies that will be needed.
I just took this trip… they are obviously showing the busiest parts.
The people on the beach remind me of the people in Independence Day who try to greet the aliens with signs and cheers.
Um.. hurricanes have a decidedly smaller chance of turning out to be friendly
My mom evacuated this morning (tuesday) from Naples. Many people are leaving but she knows a good amount of people staying. Their logic is “our place was fine during Ian, so we will be fine for this one since it’s more north than Ian was”. I question people’s risk benefit analysis if they have the resources to get out.
Naples is decently far south of most likely path… it’s probably a small-chance-of-huge-catastrophe scenario. Personally I wouldn’t take the chance
Getting in a car wreck on any given day is an even smaller chance but I still buckle up
Some people CANNOT evacuate for very different reasons…
Everyone keeps saying that it’s stupid to not evacuate. What about those who can’t afford it/don’t have a car? What are their options (if any)? As NJ resident who hasn’t dealt with many major hurricanes, I’m genuinely curious
There's designated places for people to go for shelter.
No money no hope. Some people are flat broke.
Uber is giving free rides to the local county-run shelters. Lots of ppl carpool and split a hotel room as well. You can move twenty miles inland and be just fine, so it's not always a huge trip.
Ron Desantis has been speaking daily about what to do & giving out resources, phone numbers & websites for people. Shelters that take pets, transportation pick-ups & shelters for people who can't afford anything. He's been extremely detailed about resources & options.
@@annahgibbus8 Sounds good, I hope there are no casualties.
Hold on to your hats folks! and to those who think they can "ride out" this storm, write your name and DOB on your legs and arms (using permanent marker) so you can be identified later.
Social Security # even better. There's lots of people with the same name, :)
@@curiouscat3384 good advice!
if you are not there, then probably best not to give people advice. Send them good thoughts instead. Frail and elderly as well as zoos and animal sanctuaries have no choice but to "ride it out." Get your head out of your butt hole.
@@curiouscat3384
Name & DOB is all that's necessary.
People are literally stuck due to traffic and no gas...but thanks for your kind words
These morons at the beach are the exact people after the hurricane steam rolls their life who will be sitting trapped in flooded houses crying for help and causing completely unnecessary and time wasting rescues.
maybe that is all they have. Best not to judge or give unsolicited advice since you don't know their situation and you are not in it. Not nice to call people names...no matter what the situation. It is neither helpful or necessary.
@@annatetiad.4991 Are you on that beach right now? 😂
@@GhostOvPerdition Probably
@@annatetiad.4991what’s worse? “Calling people names” or wasting rescuer’s lives for not following REPEATED demands to evacuate? I’m sure hurting somebody’s feelings is far worse than losing lives of someone who actually had something they can come back with

Anybody notice the Tesla at the gas station??
He had a generator on top
The price you pay to live in FL..
I went through Hurricane Andrew in 1992, the man made problems after the storm is not talked about . Just the storm .
These surfers think that Cat. 5 is a joke. If you want to know about Cat. 5 they need to speak to Caribbean people. Hurricanes are no joke.
Surfers watch the weather as close as Meteorologists looking for the biggest waves.
As long as they leave by tonight they will be fine.
It’s a monster!
You better run and hide
GOOD JOB YOU FLORIDA PEOPLE TAKE NO CHANCES . BLESS YOU ALL AS YOU EVACUATE 🙏.
I think a mass exodus will be occuring in Florida soon. These storms used to only happen once every 10 years. Now it's an annual or biannual event. People are probably sick of it by now.
You have absolutely no clue as to what you are talking about.
where can they go... draught on the west, severe heat in arizona, NC west almost destroyed . california is burning or flooding... tornado alley in the mid west...
@@mujkocka Google says Delaware has had the fewest occurrences of all the states,, and most of the New England area has very few disasters. Uhhh, we've had 5 decades of warning. Nice to meet you man-made climate change...
before human civilization existed the sea levels rose and fell about 1,000 feet, which had nothing to do with pollution. One hundred years of pollution and trash from humans is not going to alter nature anywhere near to the degree nature changes itself. Glaciers never melted and caused an ice age in the last 100 years, but before civilization they always did over time. If one volcano erupts, it emits the equivalent of like decades of human pollution. mankind has a more tangible destructive global effect on animal life, in how we wipe out species and fill oceans with chemicals and plastic.

Huracán"[1] (/ˈhʊrəkən, ˈhʊrəkɑːn/; Spanish: Huracán; Mayan languages: Hunraqan, "one legged"), often referred to as U Kʼux Kaj, the "Heart of Sky",[2] is a Kʼicheʼ Maya god of wind, storm, fire and one of the creator deities who participated in all three attempts at creating humanity.[3] He also caused the Great Flood after the second generation of humans angered the gods. He supposedly lived in the windy mists above the floodwaters and repeatedly invoked "earth" until land came up from the seas.
