    The very real art of knowing what you want!!
    Seriously, I would never reach the point where I though 'hmm this beat is fire, let me just throw all those drums out and continue"!

    I just worked out how to do the resampling whilst playing with the effects, way cool. Be nice if there was a slot where you load up an auv3 to resample thru. Having said that I like the self contained nature of koala and too many rabbit holes distract from making the beat in the first place.

      @nervouscooks  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah it’s tricky.. there are a few things I’d like to see but then it could definitely become too distracting. 🙂

    Nice. Creative with the fx resampling there. First thing I did with the eq update is to bounce some drums with eq and compression.

    • @nervouscooks
      @nervouscooks  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you, yeah that EQ is great with bouncing. It’s going to make a lot of tasks easier and with better results. I still love the tone slider too though for quick edits.

      @@nervouscooks True, your kick drum copy and layer technique with the tone slider is a good one!

      Not much to show, the iPad is plugged into a Kingston Nucleum hub. My turntable/mixer is plugged into the hub via a Behringer UCA222. Then the output from the iPad goes out again via the hub to my audio interface and to my monitors. I cover most of it in my Koala tutorial series playlist 👍

      😂😂 now I feel bad for Maschine. I’m going to have to make a beat on it so I don’t feel guilty 😅

    Hey man, was wondering do you know a quick way of exporting say a one shot of the note c of different sample patches from a vst on ableton? Say i wanted to to take a load of bass patches and have them separated on my ipad ready to use on koala whenever? Trying to think of the quickest way to do it. I know you have a few sounds you use so thinking you may have done something similar.

    • @nervouscooks
      @nervouscooks  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Jack yeah I made a bunch of them. I’m not sure what the quickest way is, but any sounds that came from a VST I would have loaded up in Ableton session view. Then I add an audio track and set the audio input for the audio track from the VST. Set the audio channel to record, set the VST to “in” then hit record and play the C note. I then right click on the recorded audio file clip and choose manage sample file. That should open up in the file manager on the right. Then I click edit and it opens up my audio files in my external audio editor, I use Ocean audio as it’s free and works perfectly with Ableton if you set it up in Abletons preferences as your default editor. Once it opens up I then trim the clip to the audio and save it to a dedicated folder. It sounds very long winded when you write it down but in reality it takes me a few seconds. If I want a bunch of sounds from one VST with any extra effects I have that all set up and just keep recording whilst going through presets etc. Hope that helps. 👍

    • @nervouscooks

      Thank you… I have the audio from my mixer/turntable going into a Behringer audio interface with phono inputs, that is then plugged via USB into my Kingston Nucleum hub that goes into the iPad. If you look at my Koala tutorial videos I talk about in better detail 👍
