- Making Koala Sampler Drum Patterns (ft. Microfreak)
Lately I've been on a kick of creating lots of different drum patterns to set aside for future use in tracks. So, I decided today I'd try to make a few using Koala Sampler! Sampling from external gear is super easy with a phone, so after I got some Microfreak drum samples I got right to work on some patterns. Enjoy the video :)

An addition I'd like to see in Koala is another page where one could sequence sequences together to make a track and ability to record effects along with that. A bit like how you can sequence patterns on a PO.
You can sequence sequences in Koala to make a full track already. Just drag a sequence onto another and choose the option to ADD TO END.
@@AllanParkin Did not know I could do that thanks for the tip.
Yeah it's already in there, and it works pretty well! It's amazing how much you can accomplish for just under $10.
Having fun I see! I never used a sampler but in your hands it looks like a lot of joy. Thanks.
Give Koala a shot! It's super affordable and a lot of fun :)
Havin a mess around. This is the way! Nicely done🎉
Yeah I can't wait to export these and build on them in Ableton!
Yeah! Congratulations to DishCloth, he always makes a very clean job! 😊
Definitely my cleanest Patron 😄
@@FreeBeat 😊🙏 You all guys are amazing, thanks for all this great videos, so much fun!
Oh yeah that was fun!
Glad you liked it!
Hi, I just happened to see your Orba2 unboxing video yesterday and if you're as "thrilled" about the presets in the Orba app as I am, here's a little food for thought: the Orba2 has 4 Loop Channels and Koala has 4 SamplePages and a great MIDI learn Function... have fun ;)
I actually stopped using the Orba 2 right after that video and sent it back. I didn't want to promote it after I learned that the manufacturer promised a bunch of features in the original model and then instead put them in the "2," leaving all of the purchaser of the original without the features.
yeah awesome beat. have you played with the pocket operator for pixel?
Yeah!

@@Sadiquecat Beat me to it! Flip is really cool as well :)
Unfortunately, I heard of Koala Sampler too late, or else I would have never purchased the OP1 and the SP404.
Koala Sampler is indeed awesome, but so are the OP-1 and the 404!
how do you manage recording audio directly from the microfreak to your phone?
With that splitter :)
@@FreeBeat that's neat, is it possible to use audio output from another phone?
One of my favorite app. Android user.
Nice! What phone are you on?
Have you tried Koala on a tablet?
Not yet, hopefully someday!
I couldn't figure out Koala because I'm a big dumb, dummy head.
You got this! What are you having problems with?
