    Man, more times than not I find that the dyed plastics look horrendous. This one though, looks incredible. I have to give credit where it’s due, I’m impressed with that one brother.

    You could also replace the transfer caps to the 2260/562. They are noticeably bigger and you can grind on them as well to create better flow.

    2258 looks like it’s a cool design… first saw that in the k970 or whatever the big concrete saw is and I loved those two big feeds coming up from the case’s… the 576 is kinda like that design so I’ve got to get into that project… I love this cylinder design and I’d tell ya… I’d like to get hands on this 46mm 50-60 cc type size… should be a banging work saw… I’d be tempted to play with the timing wheel and that piston skirt and see what all if any could be removed… the lighter that piston could get…the longer it’s going to ride on those bearings??? Very nice version of where newer technological advancements in design are helping to make power. I see that Hyway version has removable transfers to make their enlargement work easier like the old Xtorq 372’s… 350’s….???

    Wow, nice Work. Just found your Channel and its very nice. Amazing Dye on the Saw. How do you get it that pretty. My Dye got violett not black.
    Yours is shiny too. How are you doing it?

    • @novicelumberjack
      @novicelumberjack  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The dye is just two bottles of Rit black in about three gallons over water, I let it cook at about 180⁰ or so for about an hour. Nothing spectacular. I don't even think about it. I check it, and if it is black...done, if it needs longer...it gets it. Rinse, dry, whipe it good, then I use Cerakote whipes. I've got a video on them.

      @@Witschor Like I wrote it. John's recipe was overly complicated. I've done it a lot at this point. Water and dye is all you need. All the other stuff is hokie. The grafite does give it a sheen though. But all of the dipping into cool water and stuff is absolutely unnecessary.

    The exhausts you have done like this one and 7310 look and sounds great! Have you had any of them on a dyno to see if there are any gains from kinda a straight pipe setup? I’m new to chainsaw mods but was always into building sleds and quads and always seemed like two stroke needed some back pressure to tune the pipe.

    • @novicelumberjack
      @novicelumberjack  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      My pipes ARE tuned. Dyno Joe just did a video of my Binford Bad Boy saw. With a modified stock muffler it got something like 3.8hp. With my exhaust, it got 4.3hp. That is an amazing hp jump considering it isn't actually a full expansion chamber pipe. Watch the video: th-cam.com/video/EbC05d3m7M8/w-d-xo.html

    • @wompwomp9
      @wompwomp9 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@alexstromberg7696 I should of specified. When he gets off of the throtte it was sounding like it was scavenging for fuel. 4 strokeing is a different thing. (Edit) also i said "on some of those cuts". I should of said after some of those cuts.
      Sorry bout that.

    • @novicelumberjack
      @novicelumberjack  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      So...you're thinking that it is pulling too much fuel and going out the exhaust? Because the pipe was built to help scavenge all the spent gasses out of the cylinder, helping to draw fuel up through the transfers. Are you saying that sometimes it sounds like it is drawing too much charge out the exhaust?

    • @wompwomp9
      @wompwomp9 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Im not 100% sure, BUT. When one of my saws was running too lean and i got off the throttle it acted like it wanted to run on and it would not idle down as fast as it normaly would. My brother told me that it happens when your saw is lean and it ends up sucking a lean mixture out of the carb while its sopost to be idleing down. Makeing it fatter resolved my issue. With that being said... I dont know how or if an autotune saw can even adjust it's self to be fat enough to run normaly once its been ported. 🤔 Is there a way to tune it manualy? (Edit) heres what i would do if it was a normal carb. Id fatten up the low jet so its not trying to burn through whats left of the vapors as it idleing down. It should come down in rpm faster than what it was in the video. I trust your judgement better than mine but i do know for sure that mine did the same thing untill i fattened up the low jet.

    • @novicelumberjack
      @novicelumberjack  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@wompwomp9 gotcha. I did think it was idling a touch too high, but blamed it on the loud exhaust. But I also would have turned it down if I could have. However, I didn't notice the chain moving at all during idle, so even if it is a scosche too high, it isn't high enough to cause problems...so that's good.

    Could you make me a pipe for my 572?

    • @novicelumberjack
      @novicelumberjack  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I could, but it's just too darn labor intensive. Takes me about three hours to make one. I'm looking into having things plasma cut to make several pipes in one go. Then it would be worth it to sell to folks. As it is, I'd have to charge about $180 for it to be worth the effort.
