I watched this with my 5 year old last night, his first proper film...he broke down in tears at this part and needed a cuddle. He kept saying, he needs his family.
Welp Adults always make things worse lol and if I’m being honest he did the right thing by leaving like that because the military would’ve just snatched him up and strapped him down until he went crazy from all the experiments he would’ve went though lol
"I know what you're thinking, you're afraid they're going to take you away again" 😒😔 "yeah" "I don't belong here now, I love you" I so wish I had Max the ship right about now to take me away 😔 because I definitely feel like I don't belong
@@Mrd9960Not to mention he’d never be able to see his family again because the government would be treating him like a human lab rat for the rest of his life!
Sorry to break this to you buddy, but this isn't the first. This is just Stop Motion. Well yeah it is the first ever liquid metal scene on the big screen, but for cg, its the Abyss (1989). And these effects seem kinda outdated even in stop motion standards. The year before, 1985, in Young Sherlock Homes, it had a fully developed cgi character. These effects are as subpar as Syfy's films.
I love this movie. Cried when he time travelled, got back to his house and other people were living there instead of his parents.

Did he see the end where Max sent David back to 1978 to his original family?
Yep, it's his favourite film now.
"He kept saying, he needs his family."
We all do.
Used to.
"Why can't they leave me alone"
"You're afraid they're going to take you away again" 😢😢😢😢
😒
Welp

Great concept and never tire from watching this movie
1:27 Perfect David, no need to retake that scene :)

Ok what is the symbol on the steps please TikTok said it’s interesting
I remember reading in a magazine at the time, it was a “G” because these were anti - gravity steps.

It's the pedo symbol... no surprises as it was made by Disney.
It's the pedo boylovers logo, the film is Disney so it being there makes sense

Why David Why
It was better that he went back, he didn't belong there, his brother grew up and everything had changed, where he lived.

Sorry to break this to you but you come off like someone who sniffs their own farts and has to tell everyone about the aroma.

So it is the first stop motion liquid metal scene is what you're saying.
They screwed up this bit, you can see the outline of the door on the ship
