The legendary album is literally a Genesis' masterpiece, espically with Phil's Iconic voice and era. Land of Confusion has to be one of my favourites from Genesis and not a single Genesis fan or rock fan can say they haven't heard or liked any of these tracks on the album, or this legendary hit. The track itself is a rock icon worldwide, and something that'll never get old. They'll only be one Genesis, and this album helps prove it, no band will come close. A hit that unveils many memories, emotion, and joy for some, like myself. Legends 💙👑

It's a fine album but not a masterpiece, also there are PLENTY of Genesis fans who can say that they don't like any of the songs on this album. Many cite this album as being the end for the band, or at least when they had completely changed gears and didn't resemble their former selves anymore at all. I personally think it's a fine 80's pop/rock album, but I don't think it's in the top 5 albums for me or anything.

I understand your concern but the actual remedy is for us to unite which are further from than ever. Society is more selfish than ever despite having the big voice. It's by design.
All that being said we should still try to make positive changes and it starts with self.

Again not to say we shouldn't try as it's the right think to do. many folks only like to play a game they think they can win, I'm saying play and do right whether we win or not, even with the very slim probability of win.
@@theonebutnottheonly1130 the more players you have, the higher the winning probability is. All it takes is getting the majority on board. Easier said than done of course, but change is a slow process.

Genesis at its prime. Mike Rutherford wrote this song while he had the flu. Dictated to Phil and became the highlights of Invisible Touch.
Such a great song, love the music video as well. One of the best 1980s pieces.
My favourite track on the album since l first heard it. A 'protest' song which is unusual for the band, but executed in a humourous fashion with that send up video.

Happy 50th anniversary to Foxtrot! Besides thinking about that monumental album, i was also thinking about this song, mainly because i was going through my list of "crossovers" between the band, and Mike+The Mechanics did an excellent rendition of this song, the singer there was excellent, and since its mostly Mike's piece, they added a new section, pretty neat!

If anyone from Concord Music Group reads the comments, please consider releasing the full Genesis live video from the first part of the 1986 live tour. :) Good quality. Land Of Confusion in the version from the beginning of the tour was one of the highlights of these concerts. :) Great song - especially in 1986 and 2020-2022 it was the best at the concerts.

@Mitch P Duke for me was the last great Genesis album, a couple of mediocre tracks, but Duke's Travels and Duke's End showing that they were capable of writing something as good as their earlier work.

This is the natural course of all nations/civilizations . Like the lifespan of a human being we're born we live and then at some indefinite point we expire. Mighty nations are but mere sandcastles on a beach eventually the tide comes in and washes it away. And that's not intended to sound sad or defeatist it's just the cyclical nature of the time/ space continuum but hey at least we're living in some interesting days😊

Holy crap! This tune is more relevant in 2022 than when it came out. However this band has always been ahead of the times. Yeah we're is superman now?
