I tested a punch of paddles and surprisingly this was my favorite . I was way more consistent with my hits on this paddle and I felt really good power too.
They need better marketing cause I've never heard of them. But good concept and will keep an eye on their future products. Kinda surprised at the low spin rate cause the paddle face seems pretty well textured. And c'mon now, you expect USA made and eco-friendly/sustainable products to be able to compete on price to the mass-produced Chinese cookie cutter paddles? Like when has that ever happened.
Revolin is daring to be different, and actually source in the USA and almost entirely local to Michigan. You are spot on, has there ever not been a price premium for eco-friendly materials/ingredients? The easy way out is to source from China with a black carbon fiber face. I'm confident Revolin will be a household name in the pickleball industry by the end of the year. Pickle-on!
I tried one of these a little while back. I couldn't get past the handle. It felt like it had a butt cap on the top and bottom. I'm glad to hear they are fixing that, because that was an immediate deal breaker for me.
Chris, REALLY appreciate your candor on the Revolin paddle…it’s products like this that, while serving a niche market, it’s probably best targeted toward well-healed conservationists needing an eco-friendly 2.0-3.0 paddle. The rest of us are glad to have your frank opinion to assist making good decisions on our next performance Paddle ! Thanks Chris
The Revolin paddles first perform and second are capturing attention because of the company's desire to minimize harm to the planet. There is no doubt, these paddles perform - well beyond a 3.0 level player.
I tested out their previous model paddle, and the bio material was interesting. The drawbacks were that it was 13mm, felt very handle-heavy, and low spin. Looks like this model improves upon it, though 1150 spin is rather unacceptable if you're wanting something tournament-level. Hugh and Sophie are both super nice in person and I wish them the best in the paddle industry going forward.
The paddle seems to perform really well with alot of control and adequate power as well. I wouldn't mind having one of these at all especially after they modify the handle. Seems like a solid option for those not needing an abundance of crazy power.
Love the input from Will! Would love to see a review of the gearbox gx5. We just got then into the store I work at and I’m on the fence about dipping my toes in the gearbox game
great review! Since Chris won't do it, you should do one on the Players Rouge 2 carbon, another made in Merica' company.. Probably will be a similar review, lol.
I think the bioflex is interesting, however, the perfect bio material would be muscle fiber from Chuck Norris so id be curious to know how the bio-flex compares, do they have data on that?
Sure you guys get a chance to review the new Gearbox release when it comes out. I watched the interview with Raphael on Just Paddles. Very interesting. Raphael is a genius.
Good review as always. Love you guys. I actually paid $20 and got two of Revolins paddles to try. I really liked them. I was actually drawn to the paddle because of the graphics. I liked the way it played but agree with your comments. I felt that it was a bit overpriced for a start-up company paddle with little track record. I also decided that the graphics were more similar to the entry level paddles that are coming out. I didn't want to be perceived as a beginner and liked the plain black paddles. I watched your reviews of all the carbon faced paddles coming out and tried the new CRBN power series. I love my new CRBN 2x.
Wait that was mostly me in this video? I couldn't tell us apart 😅
As one of my Pinoy brethren said, "Rice is rice..." 😂

this guy. with the double lob.

Great job, Will. Really well done format for the review. And the Dope or Nope was a nice addition. Keep up the good work.
Another great, articulate, and insightful review from Will. Thanks for all you do for the pickleball community!

Thanks Zach!! The model Chris had was an early lower spin batch - I think Will’s is more reflective of the actual spin levels ☺️

So I’ve found this paddle on temu for $30 would it be worth that price?
You two should definitely do reviews together lol. Your personalities work well together.

Where are you playing pball in this video? I see Lifetime fitness.... with a climbing wall AND pball courts?????
I think you guys should do the Ace Spade from ACE Pickleball! Great review!

I've used the hybrid Rogue2 for the last year, and love the paddle, but just ordered a Legacy Pro on backorder.
"Fuck the planet. I need my $350 paddle for my Sunday morning 2.5 level rec play." -- Most people I guess.

Maybe. It’s top secret tho

I’m sure it’s already in the pipeline, but would love to see a Vatic Pro V7 review.
Good job Will. A Eco friendly paddle. OK. No carbon was harmed in the making of this paddle.
What’s up guys
BAIT AND SWILLTCH
What are you paying for 😂
High performance, caring for the planet, not a black carbon-face paddle, taking your game to the next level.
More money for a biodegradable paddle with less performance. Uh, NO!
Give it a shot! You will love it.
