This is absolute Roaylties of singing and instrumental. Too bad so few actually knows their names but just the names of the bands. But in this world of: metal, prog, classic, blues or whatever you want to call it there is one thing that is for certain: If Arjen calls, they will come!! Great one as usual Saeed. Love your journey through this music. And I am so looking forward to the great finale (in my opinion) And that is: The greatest show on earth, live at Tampere (always a struggle between Tampere and Wembley versions of this masterpiece) with Nightwish But Tampere throws a bigger punch:) All the best from Sweden

Arjen Lucassen writes prog rock musical theatre and then invites artists he admires from around the world to join him.
These are mostly front women and men who have their own band.

Arjen Anthony Lucassen is indeed Dutch and he has a huge list of people he has worked with on his albums. Joost is his friend and right hand man who helps him out a lot. Especially when organizing the live concerts which are generally only performed in Tilburg. The 'LUL' thing is a running gag and just some friendly banter. You missed out on an opportunity to see Ayreon live last September 2023. 15,000 People from over 60 countries came to watch the shows over three days (four if you count the dress rehearsals). They are generally only held over one weekend only every so many years. There's been 3 editions sofar.

Arjen is just fantastic!!! There are two great composers at this moment. Tuomas from Nightwish and Arjen Anthony Lucassen from Ayreon.
He writes music for over 30 years. Fantastic music that is. But has no band. He invites top musicians from the Netherlands and then asks worldwide the top singers to join in his projects. And they are honoured to be asked and happily participate. And when they do perform live, a miracle occurs. Up to 25 top international singers together having a blast with a top band in an amazing show that radiates passion and absurd musicianship. It is mindblowing to witness. In the audience last year over 60 nationalities worldwide travelled to the Netherlands to witness this. The concerts are sold out in five minutes. A good example of this concert is from the "live beneath the waves" concert 01011001 from 2023 . A track called "the sixth extinction" take the official video by Arjen, not the bootleg. Contrary to the title it will make you very Happy. These science fiction stories from Arjen, converted into epic music, are one of kind and in my humble opinion quality wise comparable to Nightwish. At the very musical top. Just as the Rabbit Hole of Nightwish is not to be missed, so is the Rabbit Hole of Arjen Lucassen. They transfer this world into a happy place. A high without drugs but on the basis of extremely good music. Amen.
Not only Dutch musicians but also many foreign ones such as Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Michael Romeo, Jordan Rudess, etc.
For the live shows he only asks Dutch people, which makes rehearsing a bit easier (and cheaper).

I've smoked and drank over 40 year now, just to get Russell Allen's ultramasculine raspy voice - and failed miserably
And the genius behind all this is, "The Tall Hippie Dude", Arjen Anthony Lucassen, the tallest known rock musician (203 cm). ⛄👍

Hahaha…., could it be a myth that you should smoke and drink whisky to get a raspy voice?
I mean, I wanted to sound like Tom Waits, but I would have been more than happy to sing with just a little bit of rasp every now and then. I smoked cigarettes for a large part of my life and the only alcoholic beverage I actually enjoyed to drink was whisky (without the ‘e’, because I prefer those typical Scottish Islay single malt whisky flavors) and even though I didn’t drink much I did my best to ruin my voice. Never happened. I only lost control over my vocal cords. 😅
And only recently I found out that singing with distortion is actually ‘just’ a technique that you can learn WITHOUT ruining your ability to sing. A bit too late. I’m 56 years of age.
The only advice I’ve ever gotten came from the drummer from my first serious band. I told him I couldn’t sing. And then he told me to just sing as loud as I could. And I took his advice seriously, because he was 5 years older than I was, so he should know. 😂
It all seems so logical when you get older. If you really want to learn how to sing properly, find yourself a good vocal coach. 🥴

Arjen has been working with over 120 of the top musicians and singers from all over the world during the years - he found Floor and started working with her back in 2000, and her sister Irene a few years later.

The Binary translates to: Trust TH-1. Arjen has made many play like stories many interconnect with each other. Transitus is an album with both music videos for the story or a comic book version of the story both can be reacted with on You tube. Also there live performances are amazing as well like Every body dies.

@@matje6978 That i'm not sure about but Bruce performed the Audio version of Into the Black Hole for Ajen's Ayreon project but because Arjen was so excited he let the cat out of the bag early on social media without first consulting Bruce's managers so there was a we bit of a fallout sadly no live version of Bruce singing that song.

Nederlanders leveren super goede muzikanten en zangeressen ( Floor, Simone, Anne van the Gathering, Sharon van Within Temptation, Marcella van Stream of Passion)

Edward R. Warby, (Rotterdam, 7 maart 1968) is een Nederlands muzikant, voornamelijk bekend om zijn werk als drummer van Gorefest, Ayreon en Hail of Bullets. Daarnaast is hij gitarist, bassist en zanger voor onder meer Demiurg en The 11th Hour.

Yes Saeed. This is a Dutch project with musicians from all over Europe and America. How ironic. The humans are trying to escape to another planet in this Sci-fi story. The binary code means "Trust TH-1", the computer played by Mike Mills. Now you need to experience some Ayreon live. Kind of like a prog metal Broadway play or musical.
Love this great band. Arjen Anthony Lucassen in a Dutch genius.

Welcome to Ayreon! I thought I would share some songs from related bands and from Ayreon itself, as info on the name it is the name of the projects first protagonist featured on The Final Experiment which follows Ayreon a blind minstrel from 6th century England. As far as I am aware the character was named first and the project was supposed to release without a name, it became Ayreon later because the album was released as Ayreon: The Final Experiment. So by now you have gotten a few requests but I want to request And The Druids Turned To Stone from Ayreon Universe to introduce you to my favourite vocalist that has worked with Arjen. I saw you were amazed by Mike Mills so be sure to check out How Much For That Dragon's Tooth by Toehider to see Mike play all of the instruments and for a live performance check out Whatever Makes You Feel Superior. And then I have arrived at Hansi Kürsch whose band I have been obsessed with for 2 months, he is the vocalist of power metal band Blind Guardian. Start with Time Stands Still (At The Iron Hill) from the Imaginations From The Looking Glass concert, it is from their best album Nightfall In Middle Earth which is about the Silmarillion and is the first album where Hansi didn't record the bass tracks for. He used to be the bassist as well but dropped it because the songs became more complicated and he wanted to focus on his singing instead.

Thank god, FINALLY someone who notices that Ayreon is actually a derivative of Arjen's first name! By the way: Michael Mills (the one who sings binary) has his own project called Toehider, which is actually anglified for 'toehoorder', which his daughter came up with.
And Arjen was supposed to start this project (maybe under a different name) many albums ago with none less than BRUCE DICKINSON! But after Arjen leaked some bits and pieces of the project, Bruce's management pulled the plug, taking Bruce out of the project and leaving Arjen alone with all this awesome material. That's how the Ayreon project was born.

And ehm..... Star One was born in 2002, while Ayreon first came up in 1993, so how can Star One be earlier than Ayreon? Time machine? You've got it all wrong yourself, dude!
@@peterkeijsers489 The project with Bruce Dickinson that was cancelled later turned out to be Star One, Ayreon was always meant to be a solo project. I did not know Mike himself said that, that's my fault. But I do know that the cancelled project with Bruce turned out to be Star One not Ayreon as you claimed. I never claimed Star One came earlier than Ayreon that is something you misinterpeted from my comment.

Lord of the Lost are a German „genre fluid“ band.
Dark rock meets goth meets glam metal meets synths including a perfect mixture of clean and harsh vocals down to growls.
They are a rabbit hole to discover with a huge range within their music including three songs with classic instrumentation (The Song), synth driven songs or pure metal heaviness.
Their singer Chris Harms changes between beautiful clear, dark singing and grunts&growls.
They have supported Iron Maiden as“Special Guest“ twice across Europe in 2022 and 2023!

About books: is The Passage by Justin Cronin among all of those novels you've read? Or anything by Orson Scott Card? Anything you recommend?
Definitely be with my family till the end. Have not read those. Will add them to my TBR. I read a lot of fantasy. Mark Lawrence is one of my favorite authors. Robin Hobb, Peter F Hamilton (scifi), Steven Erikson (Malazan).
