Thanks for the playthrough Tom. Maracaibo is such a fun game, I just wish it wasn't such a beast to set up on the table! The long setup time definitely reduces how often I get it to the table.

Tom, at 14:41 when you move your explorer you skip the space if an explorer is present. Your 2nd movement would have gotten you to the quest tile.

I'm halfway through campaign and I still reference some of the iconography in the book 😂 it's such a great game I don't mind.

Thanks for this runthrough! Came to see how Jean work as I am a bit confused. Question- at 13:40 when you move Jean, her card has the upper arrow meaning she should move up towards City #13 not down towards City #14 correct as she could go either way? And then her second move should be to City #17? Just wanted to make sure as I'm trying to figure out her movement

Hey Joel! I help Tom on his channel with rules/subtitles. You are correct. It is noted in the Klingon subtitles at 13:41 that Jean's card has the upper route symbol, so she should have moved to Port Royal (space 13) then to Puerto Cabezas (17).

Tom, Why is there a cube of each faction color on the board already? I've played Maracaibo a couple times and I don't remember this in the rules, but I may have missed it in the solo rules. Love your videos!

Thanks Justin! On the influence track? That's the normal setup, or if you mean the ownership markers on locations 6/7/8 they're part of the 2 player setup which the solo is emulating :)
