"... keeps playing down a rook out of inertia..." That was so funny to say.
He probably didn't realize he lost a piece in the middle of the storm.
Dr Tarrasch wrote in the tournament book about the move rook b1: "Reveals with brutal frankness the whole attacking plan, against which nothing can be done."
“He has not blundered, but he can already resign” HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAJA
Why the heck does Chess Dawg not have a million subscribers?
7:13 “and it looks like c5 is unstoppable… because it is”! 👍👍👍
[Yeah, ]Best line in this video…! 😆 😆 👌🏻
Capablanca played chess like a real general leading his pawns to victory like demons on a real battlefield.
The simplicity is amazing.
Yep! Easy for Capa. Still, we can be drooling disciples at the master's feet
I don't know if you have done this, but it could be interesting to look at how Alekhine managed to outplay polisitonal Capablanca in the very posotional QGD in the 1921 Championship.
1927
At 7:38 could black play c6? The difference is if white pushes c5 now you can just side step the queen and he can no longer push his c pawn to c6 to fork the king and rook supported by the pawn. If he wants to land a pawn on c6 he has to take your black pawn holding it with his b5 one but now the white pawn on c6 isn’t supported by another one and you just move as the pawn behind it blocks the queen and rook and eventually you will take that c6 pawn. Also you block off the effectiveness of whites queen and rook
I like your videos! Thank you
Capablanca understood chess so well that he never calculated anything.
Just put his pieces on the best squares and won.
There is nothing like Capablanca pawn play.
Indeed, no blunder grom Janowski
favorite chess channel!! 😊😊😊
It does boggle the mind how Capablanca acquired such a deep understanding.
Botvinnik said Capablanca was the most talented chess player and he knew all great players from Lasker to Kasparov. Lasker said he knew many chess masters but only one chess genius, Capablanca.
Capablanca was also a prodigy and he became very strong in his early teen years. At this tournament he was getting to his prime, he turned 26 during it
same with morphy it might as well be magic lol
I love Capa. Made it look so easy.
Which...…this video is…NOT about…! :-| :-✓
Correct pronuncation of the name Janowski is ,, Ianowski ..
or „Yanowski”
So where díd Black go wrong? At which point would a chess engine have played a different move that would have saved the game? (3:55 - b6?
can you feature games of Ulf andersson please? i really want to see his endgame prowess
*Ulf
Lol sorry that was autocorrect
od capablanca really was a savant!
For some reason the links to those 3 books aren't working for me. Anyone else have that issue?
Devastation
Black could have at least tried a counterattack on the kingside and pushed his pawns in front of Capa's king! If nothing else, those things at least make your opponent think!
This has always been my favorite Capa game.
Yeah but you must have a love for the game 🤣
Where did I go wrong. I should retire from this chess stuff.... This dude is too strong. 🤷😂🌀
Yanovsky would be a better pronunciation.
Yanovsky liked to attack but he was dreadful at endgames. Capa knew he was far, far stronger.
Out of topic…! …NO “capa” in the video... . 😢
@@markiyanhapyak349
It's his affectionate nickname.
*Capablanca stays Capablanca.*
It’s a metter of respect.

Ok, if you insist.
Very one sided game
