I was waiting for a new Capablanca video in order to share with you a little story about him. I don't think Agad will see it, let alone read it, but I hope you like it. My great grandmother once played a chess game against him and won. Apparently, Capablanca and my great grandfather were friends, so one day he was visiting their house and saw a chess board there. Intrigued, he asked who played chess and was told that it was my great grandmother. So, while they were waiting for my great grandfather to get ready to leave together, they decided to play a game. Not a very serious one I presume but he lost. Funny thing is that he refused to ever again set foot in my great grandparents' house since it was "the house of a witch" in his own words. Unfortunately, I don't know the details of the game itself (and I personally suspect that he went easy on her or underestimated her, at least initially) but I find the story rather amusing nonetheless.
Wasn't Capablanca one those old chess players that was a dick, and thought of themselves as some otherworldly beings for being good at the game and felt insulted to loss to people? Or maybe I'm thinking of Rubenstein ¯\_(⊙_ʖ⊙)_/¯?
@@talphazero1036 Well maybe you are right. I really don't know much about him outside his games. Certainly, if what you say is true it appears to agree with what I tell in my story. Also, my great grandmother wasn't that kind herself either so I can easily see both of them clashing after such an innocuous incident.

I'd love to see you cover the Alekhine-Capa match.
In the position @10:52, couldn't Capablanca simply capture the knight with a rook sacrifice, and eventually be up a piece?
The Lichess Arena, I can see Alireza registered. So it is going to be a rocking fest.
4:36 Does Q d2 not trap blacks queen?
8:40 That's it GAME OVER! Boom!
Capablanca just knew. Amazing.
Capablanca, first human engine
Capablanca was basically unbeatable from 1916-1924 which is incredible! I would say Morphy was the first engine, but that's just my opinion :) 2 brilliant players for sure.
the engines combinations relay on guys like Capablanca.
