Hi Sean and Tom, what a wonderful place Mont Saint Michel is, a whole city behind those walls. Thanks for taking us along on this adventure. Share this channel everyone so we can get Sean to 10,000. Love from N.Y.
After seeing Mont St. Michel on many fotos & videos, for almost the last 60 years, what a joy to finally "visit"! Tom & Sean, I am so appreciative of your tour, information, & showing details. Blessings from the US.
Very enjoyable vlog...my Mother's first trip abroad as a teenager was to Mont St. Michel, so I imagined seeing what she saw. Wonderful place! Great info. thanks!
I've seen many pictures of the surrounding area, but I must say this tour was amazing. I'm in California and I could feel the history of that place. Thanks for sharing your adventure! 👍👍
Wow! So glad to see this video. As a lover of history, I'm embarrassed that I'd never heard of Mont St Michel until a few years ago, when someone I knew had a large painting. Now it fascinates me. All those stairs would have me hospitalized! But what an incredible place. Thank you for the guided tour, Sean and Tom! I'm going to watch it again in case I missed anything.
Thank you Sean and Tom, great and fun and interesting video. It’s hard to fathom the age of the beautiful structures. The workmanship is magnificent. xx.
I have missed so much in my life. School trips to France, 55 to 60 yrs ago, we could not afford the price. You brought back a memory from my childhood when you mentioned needing a Euro to use the toilet. As a child public toilets in England required a 'Penny' to open a stall door... hence the term "spend a penny" when needing to use the toilet. I love watching your tours Sean, Tom thank you for filming and adding extra historical information. Keep the video's coming. Thank you for bringing back childhood memories, too. from Saskatchwan Canada
Mont Saint Michel is one of those places I’ve dreamed of seeing. I found an old vintage framed print of it in a thrift store that hangs in my Etsy room. I first saw a picture of it in French class in high school…over 50 years ago. There’s still time…I may see it yet!
Great video - always a treat to see you both showcasing historical monuments. Appreciate seeing medieval & gothic architecture, Tom’s extra insight is a treat. Thanks again. Cheers, Marie. 🍻
SEAN!!! I love all of your videos but THIS place is my absolute favorite so far! I'm a big Medieval lover and this place is simply drenched in it! So beautiful! Thank you so much to Tom as well!
I am so thrilled that you decided to take us on this very special trip. This place is magnificent‼️ I was hypnotised watching all that history. This place is worth visiting for sure😍‼️Thank you for such a gift😍‼️
I’ve been fortunate enough to visit other places around the world, but I don’t think I’ll make it to France. You’re doing a wonderful job of giving us a tour through the country. Thank you.
My old legs wouldn't take me up those many steps so thank you both for giving me a look at this stunning place ! The architecture, history and views were amazing and you had beautiful weather too 😊❤
That was magnificent! You would want to bring binoculars to look at all of the statues and stonework and woodwork! Would be so much to see every time! Fabulous tour thank you all! Be well, stay safe all. 😊🥰💖💞👍
Another awesome video Sean, throughly enjoyed you and your son Tom showing us all the ins and outs. It’s an outstanding piece of French history. Good luck in reaching 10,000 real soon🤞🏻🍀
So nice for me to visit this place trough your eyes. I only see Mont Saint Michel at a distance when we go home after a holliday. For me it's impossible to visit in my wheelchair with all those steps. 💋
I have wanted to visit this place for years, so am grateful you have shared your walk across the causeway and around the island. Breathtaking architecture and views!
As a "new" cathodic, i am so intrigued with this. I went and did a lil bit of research... i had to come back and tell you that your bideo is hands down the best video showing this beauty and priceless adventure 👏
I always love seeing this place on all the other videos. I think this was awesome. Well done, guys. I think you guys covered the history and pointed out all you did led us to see the features well. You're on the right track with this one.
Have not been to the French one, but have been to St Michaels Mount in Cornwall, England many many times and love it. Usually walk over, and get the boat back.
OK you two! at 11:38, what was that. on your plate. Don't forget to identify the foods you spotlight. Not seen anything that shape before, Is it a fancy ham and cheese hot sandwich? That was lovely. I've always said that if you want to travel in Europe you have to be able to walk alot AND climb stairs........I can't do either anymore so I have to sit back and watch other people. Thanks for the wonderful trip to to this icon of Normandy.
Was there the end of last September and was crazy busy with armed soldiers where you enter the top part where you pay. Your son certainly knows his history and really added to the video.
A best part of this video was the number of places you showed us that we do not get to see on other videos. I'm thinking of the crusader-s bedroom, for example.
I've been thinking about this place lately, Sean. Thank you! I periodically graze through all the photos people have posted of it over the years. Right away, it looks like a garish, modern structure has been built by the boat landing. I don't recall that building. It sticks out, and not in a good way. I'll just ignore it! 😁 For some reason, the whole setting now reminds me of "Hogwarts" and its village. 😂 Trivia: Low tide at the Mont was the setting for the film, "MindWalk" (1990), starring John Heard, Sam Waterston, and Liv Ullmann. Just a philosophical conversations between a poet, a politician, and a scientist.
The "garish modern structure" is, in fact, the Auberge de la Mere Poulard (hotel and restaurant) built in 1888 by Annette Boutiant Poulard. It is currently undergoing exterior restoration and conservation work. What you see is the scaffolding covered with white safety canvas, which acts as a wind break for the restorers and stops the debris from the stone masons and builders from falling to the street below.
Iv been twice to this amazing place both times in the summer and it’s true you can’t move even so I’m pleased we went it was well worth it it’s magical thank you Sean and Tom x
We visited in summer of 2018 and agree with you about the crowds. I got whacked with a few selfie sticks. 🤭 I would love to visit again - this time in winter. 🇦🇺

Exquisite, Fastinating. Without this, I would never have been able to see it. I can only imagine it in person!
Thank you Sean and Tom for sharing this adventure with us. It is an amazing and beautiful place.
The crazy coincidence is that I just went on a TH-cam binge of Mont St. Michel videos earlier today! Still watched yours (the best of course!)🙂
