Alternatively, instead of putting 'feet' on the baby's rocking cot, which would alter its originality, you could fashion something for it to 'sit in' to stop it rocking. There must be an old offcut/s of oak lying around that would be suitable to carve grooves into big enough for the rockers to sit in. Just a thought.
Well it's been a nice trip around the sale. It's interesting how they are so different. I especially liked the cradle you got. It really could have so many functions.
Those 2 cast iron trivets or stove pieces would look very nice with a mirror behind them on the wall by a fireplace with a sconce to high light them. Very nice finds today have a wonderful day
I always love it when you do these walks. I pick out all the things I want, what a joy. So pretty there too. Love the red car. That manequin was funny. My guy friend had a female manequin in his apartment and when you go over its always dressed in different clothes, first time I saw it scared me. He calls her Shirley, lol. I like so many things It would be very hard to pick one thing. Beautiful shops. Love the rocking baby cradle, good for the cats?
I'm thinking that this rare baby cradle is to precious to be altered, much less by a fireplace. Please forgive, but we have a one hundred year old hand made baby doll cradle in our family and it came from, who knows where but it was my great-great-grandmother's doll cradle and we do not wish to alter it in any way. The wood used alone in your antique cradle is never to be found again. I am a supporter of all that you do, I think you are a true historian and the careful and beautiful way that you have restored your property, your lovely home and now the cottage is remarkable. Please, not trying to be a critic but this is a one in several thousand finds.
When you tapped the mannequin on the shoulder, I thought it was a real person. LOL. Great finds again. I believe the cradle likely had a higher frame to hang it on previously. It would make a good wood store or bed for the cats. I know the cats have enough beds already. It is always nice to see the three of you out shopping. That was cute when you and Sam's mom did the happily hop!❤
Hi Sean, pleased to see your antique cot has deliberate burn marks on it. This was a superstitious practice done from about 1550- 1750 all over Northern Europe. They would protect the baby from evil, illness etc
The crafle is beautiful. I have our family cradle. It has been used by 8 generations in my dad's family. I can't imagine it being sold like that. The sides are about 3 feet tall . 1 board for the sides and end pieces. Old growth white oak. It is beautiful. A prized family heirloom.
Oh it sounds lovely! The history behind it makes it that much more precious. May it cradle the future children born to your family for another eight generations. And beyond 💞
I thought you may have bought the wooden and Copper ladle next to the Copper pot (with inner) that was nice. As for the cradle, what a great find and great idea for use - me, a cat bed 😅 - the trivots also a great find. Thanks Sean for the insight to all these yard and Antique stalls - many nice things being sold but you have to have place for them and use them 👍
Love all the Catholic things, for sure. ❤ (Have you thought about doing some inserted pictures showing object being used or a short explanation of item? Also, have you thought about doing a voice over while you shop to kind of narrate?)
That spiral staircase is a beauty t!!!! I could spend hours in this shop. Thanks for this outing. I needed it. I'm tired of watching where all this crazy weather is headed....thank goodness all the storms here in Western Oklahoma decided to around us. @3:24 does anyone know what is the funtion that big rounded piece of wood is that's mounted on the left end of that work bench?
I am not a fan of the adding "feet" to that ancient rocker idea. Something that old, not damaged in any way, shouldn't be altered. Leave it as it is and just set it on wedges, under the rockers, to stablize it.
I would have more bought the large copper pot for the wood but understand why you wanted the wood crafted look of the cradle/cot :) there was an old army ambulance bed or camping one interesting vide grenier :) great patio furnishings too. The second place had some nice fireplace metal inserts I was surprised you didn't get one. Gorgeous spiral staircase :) I think they were out of my budget though. I wouldn't even put stable feet on it I don't think it would move much once cuts of wood are in it.
Maybe make some feet that the cradle just sits in without having to change it. Putting wood in it doesn't bother me, I can't see it getting hurt. Great buy.
You probably could of sold that cradle for quit a bit until you told is what you paid for it, lol. Don't alter it just make something to set it on and save it for one of your grandbabies.
The joy of antiques fayre is listening to the haggling between vendor and purchaser and finding out actually how much you bought the item for. This seems never to sadly happen on your channel and I lose interest

Love seeing the varied items for sale both outside and at the brocante but glad I wasn't there or I would have bought too much ! 😊❤
J'ai remarqué le magnifique escalier en fer forgé et en colimaçon. 😀 Vous avez trouvé votre bonheur bravo.
Fantastic!
I’d love to tour some European antique shops. Here in the US our shops are lucky to have a few items from the 1800s
Thanks for bringing us along at the vide greniers & brocante, Sean! Great purchases.
Well it's been a nice trip around the sale. It's interesting how they are so different. I especially liked the cradle you got. It really could have so many functions.
That little cot is gorgeous and so cheap! Enjoyed the visit…

Wow, that cradle is quite a find!

Sam your smile is beautiful!! Sean I laughed when you hurried back to make your purchase thought it must be a FIND. And it was. Yahoo 🎉
Oh Sean that rocking cradle is stunning…yes love the idea you have
I thought you may have bought the wooden and Copper ladle next to the Copper pot (with inner) that was nice.

I enjoy these day-trip yard sales and antique mall visits!
I enjoyed this video Sean. Sam and her mum look more like sisters than mum and daughter.
I love Brocanting thank you Sean. You got some nice buys
That's the stair case you need. Sean the metal round one.
3k
That cot would make a great cat bed Sean.
Love all the Catholic things, for sure. ❤

You should buy the spiral staircase for the cottage Sean.
Thank you for your explanation of the apple-press. More sophisticated than the ones I have seen in southern Brittany.
💜💙💚
The Brocante's were "to die for", Sean!! So many beautiful items I would have loved to have!! Hello to Sam & Lynn!! Blessings all. 🇺🇸
Thanks Jane
That King George lV sign, would have been a good name for your pub, lol
Love a good market! Thanks for taking us along!
The last antique shop was fantastic.
did you have a look at the iron circular staircase? Would that work in the cottage?
the wind up clock would have been my pick
That spiral stair case is literally a marvel….oh oh oh
Too many fun things but the astronaut Mona Lisa picture was my favorite😂love the cradle!! Great find! And the trivets are cool
I so wish I could be there with you. Just love to dig around at sales and shops.
Similar to our markets here 🇦🇺🦘…..more trash than treasure! 😊…..love Sam’s mums pretty house!
Stunning 20 euros is an absolute bargain!

Nice buys Sean😘
I wanted to stop by today. Working throgh pain I'll catch later.
Take care
Feel better Ruth!!
Ok, that guy in front of the pinball machine had a really disturbing expression! 😂
Is that red car a Citron……WOW I WAS RIGHT…saw one here in Canada…when I was a child…65+ years ago
I liked the gondolier and that elephant.
What did you want to use the cradle for? I couldn't figure out what you said. It's lovely!
Log basket 🧺
@SeansUniverse-te5vd oh I see. The logs will destroy the item very quickly tho....don't you think?
So many cool elephants ❤
Love how the mannequin looked to be playing the pinball game
I had never heard of insulating wallpaper. Great idea
These yard sales could furnish a whole house
The rocker would make a nice cat bed
That cot is older than the United States.

Hello everyone hope all is well busy days lately at work I'll see you soon in a premiere take care everyone

Beautiful cradle . Please don't alter it
Sean you keep company with some beautiful ladies
😊👍😎💖🥰
Put some fluffy soft pillows in it and gift the rocker to mom and her kittens.
Great idea!
They aren't "kitten" any longer.
Maybe make some feet that the cradle just sits in without having to change it. Putting wood in it doesn't bother me, I can't see it getting hurt. Great buy.
Where is the Brocante Sean? As we’ll be spending a lot of time in the area soon it would be great if you could tell us where you are in your videos 😊
Could you tell us where you are in your video's. ? We would like to visit some of these places ❤
I would use the bed for cats to sleep in. Or I would use it for firewood by a fireplace and leave the rocking part.
Cradle would quickly get destroyed if it held wood.....imo
The bank didn’t have any money😮😮😮😮
No because of the public holiday l suppose no one came to refill the ATM after the weekend 🙄
What a wonderful yard sale…or so it seemed…just not your needs
Sweet baby cradle
You probably could of sold that cradle for quit a bit until you told is what you paid for it, lol. Don't alter it just make something to set it on and save it for one of your grandbabies.
Oh please don't use that cradle for a wood store. 😥😞 😪 You will have grandchildren one day not very far in the future!
Turn the little cradle upside down and put a peice of wood across the slats, and you have yourself a coffee table.
Please don’t alter that cradle. It seems such a shame.

I like to respect people's privacy not everyone wants to be on camera. And most of my viewers don't speak French, so wouldn't understand.
