"The forest is my happy place." We are kindred spirits, Sarah! I cannot begin to express my appreciation for all of your hard work in flooding us with so much beauty through your videos!!! They are food for the soul!!! Thank you ❤️😊!!!
“Weirdo or secret genius?” For me that question is answered not by your choice of foods (tho they looked yummy), but by your creative use of tools. Sewing scissors? GENIUS 🤜👊🤛
Well done beatiful video as always - cycling on any road is stressfull - small narrow roads even more so, glad the tail wind helped....i always pray for that myself😜
Sarah it was lovely seeing you cycle through my neck of the woods, , I used to work at the lighthouse museum in Fraserburgh. Cruden Bay and Slains Castle are beautiful. You did amazing cycling 40 miles in one day, especially the hills near New Aberdour.
My husband grew up in Whinnyfold a small fishing village of about 20ish cottages on the cliffs just a little further down from Slains.. He could see Slains Castle from his bedroom window. The cottage behind his parents is where Stroker stayed when writing. I cried when they sold that house. Like balled like a baby lol It's a beautiful area.
I had the weirdest sensations watching this video, Sarah. The spooky Dracula was amazingly scary (and it isn't late at night, and I was eating dinner, so I was well-grounded' but even so... ). However, when the drone was flying over the castle in the lovely light, it was as though it wasn't the drone, but your spirit, flying free. I had the same feeling during your evening walk - that your spirit was separate from you, released to absorb to the full this beautiful experience. If it sounds weird, and well, yes, it probably is, but if this was the case for you, then I am deeply, quietly, very, very happy - and a little tearful, too, because these were such beautiful, intimate moments for you. 🤗
It’s not weird at all. But in a way it’s the opposite. Ever since I lost Vader, I feel like I’m not really in my body. Like I constantly feel like I’m floating outside myself, as though my spirit is trying to find him. I deeply wish to return to normal but it’s a journey I can’t control. When I experience such immense beauty, it’s like I’m whole for the briefest moments. I think what you are seeing is that sensation of joy in the presence of beauty and how I feel free to be happy. It’s hard to explain
Hey Sarah. I've been meaning to leave a comment on this! This was so spectacular! the drone footages WOW! And AMAZING still shots and scenes. You are truly talented! Incredible job well done. I did not know that about that Dracula movie castle was in Scotland! WOW. such history over there. And..no Not weird! smart and nourishing! You truly bring out the best of Scotland. thank you for sharing looking forward for the completion video! 💗from Chicago, IL USA
Fireweed! so that is how that plant is called. I was in Scotland last July and saw them everywhere and was wondering wat they were called since then. :) Thank you! Beautiful video as always!
Great achievement Sarah,, those ancient trees took my breath away, the Castle is awe inspiring so much history and still standing. So much beauty on your travels, you are making so many good memories. Looking forward to the next installment. Take care.
Hi Sarah, according to Wikipedia. The guest book in the Kilmarnock Arms Hotel still contains Bram Stoker's signature from when he visited in the summers of 1894 and 95. Just a bit of useless information for you 👍
Hi Sarah! You have been my company when I'm painting, my guide who show me Scotland wich I love without knowing and my English teacher. Thank you from Brazil!
Enjoying these as always, and jealous! 4:07 I noticed a little before this that it looks like your suspension is unlocked on a relatively flat path. You likely know this, but if you can lock the suspension it'll make some of the climbs and straightaways a lot easier, especially on pavement and relatively smooth paths. 8:23 Love the Blair Witch vibes. 😅
Another wonderful vlog, Sarah! Looks like you could have reference material for years to come from this trip. Are the little biting bugs not out this time of year or is it because of the location that there aren't any?
The midges aren't really on the east coast much, especially right on the coast. If there's no wind, and you're in a field or wooded area near a bit of water you might get some, but it's nothing compared to the west coast.
That's so interesting. It's sad that some places have to deal with them, but very glad they aren't everywhere and that you can be comfortable on this trip. I'm amazed at your energy and stamina, good for you! If I ride my bike for more than 4-5 miles I'm toast! LOL it's odd because I can walk and even jog a lot further, it just takes longer. I'm also amazed at your restraint and motivation to keep moving quickly, I would be a real pain to take along on a trip like this, stopping every 5 minutes to take photos of every little detail HA!
It always blows my mind to see castle ruins, to imagine that once upon a time people walked those halls and lived their lives. Parts of New Slains Castle look dangerously close to tumbling into the sea below. I wonder how close to the edge of the cliffs it was when it was built and how much erosion has occurred over the centuries?
Your video is a testament to the power of storytelling through visuals. It's like a symphony of emotions. 🎬🌍 I'm also delving into cinematic travel content and your expertise could be a guiding star for me!
probably good that I wasn't around for the castle tour....there would have been moments you would wanted to kill me...maybe for playing some certain clown sounds and shit *zladyderp*
"Weirdo or secret genius?" Why not both! It was a great solution!

Sarah, you are hilarious. The B&W castle with the music. LOL What a beautiful ending though. Your photography and drone footage are so beautiful.
I love seeing all the fireweed! It's almost all done here.
Thank you for sharing , beautiful scenery ... love it.
Yay! Hi, Sarah!
Well done beatiful video as always - cycling on any road is stressfull - small narrow roads even more so, glad the tail wind helped....i always pray for that myself😜

Secret genius of course!!!
The castle ruins were definitely worth the bike trip.
The editing of the castle part was great. XD

That would be an amazing view from your house!

Gorgeous video as always! Looks like a really difficult day of travel with the weather though.
It was, but looking back on it I'm happy I went through it, I learned a lot

Yes, I always forget to change the suspension 😂 so annoying when I realize it afterwards
That was visually stunning! A new video from you always feels like such a treat 😊
Looking forward to the video Sarah
Oh wow! Cant wait! This looks truly exciting!
Looking forward to this Sarah x

🥰
I’m so curious, what do you pack for long adventures like this? How much food, what type, I mean I would guess something like MREs, clothes, water!!
I may have to do a video about that. I’m learning as I go!
probably good that I wasn't around for the castle tour....there would have been moments you would wanted to kill me...maybe for playing some certain clown sounds and shit *zladyderp*
haha probably!
