I have decided to watch your videos while going on a walk. I will walk away from my house the length of your video. Then when the video is over I will walk home. For every like my comment gets I will walk an extra minute today. I hope this comment doesn't backfire.

At the moment I finished the video there are 12 likes. So I have to walk 12 extra minutes which adds 24 extra minutes to my walk. Thank you everyone for participating I will come back here to let you know how many steps I took when I'm done.

I walked just under 14,000 steps and right around 6 miles. According to my watch I burned just under 500 calories. Hopefully I can keep this habit going. I watch the videos everyday anyway why not move around while I do it.

I was crazy to hear the birds chirp their night song, then hear the neighborhood owl hoot and the crickets chirping all at the same time. I hope I never forget it. It was a moment to make you realize how small we are in the universe. I’m sorry you missed it Adam.

I got to watch the full totality and for me the best part was feeling the atmosphere physically change, it just reminded me about how important our sun actually is and that we're all connected in some weird way on this planet, according to scientists I have a hard time believing that everything just happened this way just because of how complex our solar system and the entire universe is, it's like a puzzle piece if one puzzle piece didn't fit then the world wouldn't even exist.

Dang Adam - so close! That's crazy you booked a flight where it was even a possibility. If I were those pilots, I would have slowed it down just a little bit, but maybe they aren't permitted to do that with all of the air traffic. I bet the path of totality was full of aircraft as it was. But it was still VERY interesting to see the cloud cover as I was wondering what it was like in the south. We were lucky enough to see it for almost 4 minutes in Ohio and I didn't want it to end. It lived up to the hype and then some. I would say one of the top 5 experiences of my life!

It's called a Fresnel (fre-NEL) lens, as featured in the movie, "Yours, Mine and Ours" (1968).
It was probably used for one of those rotating green lights that used to serve as beacons for the airstrip before those electronic tractor beams, that lock onto plane's trajectory, took over. The grooved front screen of the large, rear projected TVs we used to have, were also Fresnel lens. Also, those full page plastic reading lens to make the print larger: the ones with plastic "fingerprints". You don't want to put one in the sun unless you know whst you're doing, because they can start fires a lot easier than an old Coke bottle

We actually went to Dallas to see, there were multiple clouds, but enough of a break in them to still see everything. Started planning Iceland for 2026.

In order to see the eclipse, especially a partial view, you need to wear the glasses! Just looking at the sun (which is not advisable) won't do it. Here in Delaware it was a 90% eclipse and was spectacular! Be well Adam.

I live here in Deland, FL and I saw it but wasn't a total eclipse cause it didn't get dark as in other places but it was awesome!
I think I saw more than you Adam...maybe next time! 😊

was like a dark filter was put on the sun, here in Orlando. I had to put my sun glasses up to drive. very odd feeling. much darker than the last eclipse.

I was thinking about you during the eclipse. We went to Holiday World in Santa Claus, Indiana. They opened up their parking lot. I kept wishing they'd open the park itself. So we just had to stare at the roller coasters the whole time! haha But we did get totality and they had food trucks, free glasses, music, all that jazz. I kept thinking, "Adam would enjoy this."

Same experience we had near Detroit...we had a great view and it did get dark but not black as night except in my house at the time. Just amazing
