    I was yelling at you to stop talking about The Burbs when the tour guide was talking! He was actually telling us about ALL the movies filmed in the street. I get you were excited but shame you ruined the experience for your viewers.

    I worked at this Universal for 8 loooong years. Worked at the front gate and studio tour. when I started in 2010 the VIP tour was around $200 and WAY better than it is now and you actually had to call them to book it. A few years later they started selling it at ticket booths and online and it all went downhill from there. I'm glad you guys went to guest services about it and im glad they made it right!

    Universal is incredible. When me and my family went to the one in Florida, we were walking around and got approached by staff. They asked us if it was our first time, we said yes, and they gave us "family of the day" pins that granted us lightning lane access for the entire day, as well as a personal tour. It's not anything compared to the one in California I'm sure, but it was really cool.

    Did this tour years ago before the fire and they took us into the official prop department and even let us play with some stuff. Truly an awesome day! They let us walk around the Psycho house, the Bates Motel, Whoville and the wreckage from War Of The Worlds! Took photos from the Incredible Shrinking Woman props and set. Private scenes from the original King Kong set-up that burned down (along with the prop building). They fed us on a working soundstage in the backlot for some random show. Really was great!

    Adam , great video! As a 17 year old teenager in August 1974 I took the Backlot tour riding in tram.I still remember we stopped and walked through Lucille Ball's dressing room. It was actually a small cottage and as we exited and were getting back on the tram Telly Savalas rode up to his dressing room next door in the geen Buick used on Kojak series. Gloria Swanson ( Airport 1975) also was dropped off and going in her dressing room nearby. The Planet of the Apes costume display is another great memory . Its sad that Universal and Disney have raised prices so high that many families are priced out and will miss the experience. 😢

I had a similar experience over Memorial Day weekend when I mentioned some grievances about my visit to a park employee. They really went the extra mile to assure that my visit was everything I expected. It was actually surprising how much they did to assure I was getting my money's worth. I went on the tour years ago went on one of those old tour trams that you filmed. I was pretty young. Seen the set for Ironside where they would talk in his office they even had the rain in the window on. I remember the flash flood the first one, not the second one. Seen the set for the movie Airplane 2 I believe when they sank into the ocean. Went through that tunnel when the 6 million dollar man was being made, that tunnel was spinning around us and made us feel like we are upside down, and had to close my eyes to stop the feeling. I remember a scene for Ironside was being filmed the tram stopped and we had to be quiet. We went over this bridge that would fall apart when we went over it. We watched a rock slide come down on us one of the huge rocks went over the wall, and this guy picked it up and throws it back looked real but was made of styrofoam. Seen Munster's house and Bates Motel. We were told the blood from the shower was 2 gallons of Chocolate syrup. The color red would not look correct in a black-and-white movie. We had some people in the group trying to be actors they set up a scene for them a police one even had a uniform put on. We watched as the shark Jaws came up on a dummy in a boat it attacked the boat and the dummy go under, they even had fake blood come up on the water that was after the shark came up to the tram and looked like it was attacking our group scared the Hell out of everyone, might be that water ( pond ) you filmed. I don't remember how much walking we did. That experience was the best time of my life at the time. I'm 63 years old now great videos keep up the good work. Have a great day God Bless.

    My friend and I got stuff added to our tour when we told the guy the stuff we wanted to see. He said he had to check. Came back. And yes, they added what they could onto the tour. If their filming in a certain location, they can’t allow you to visit because of liability reasons.

    Damn. At first I thought you were being sarcastic. I immediately felt like that first tour guide wasn't meant for this job. Felt more like a melancholic version of the tour. Really awesome to see how they send you out with a personal guide. One wish of mine is to go the US in a few years (been there twice, done the VIP tour 3 times) and then pay a little extra for the 'secret' one on one tour. Very much like what you experienced, but for 5 whole hours.

Which it includes park in admission it also has unlimited express passes so you get to go on the rides as many times as you want and skip the line you also get snacks in the morning. You also get a lunch and you get to meet special characters that you don’t see elsewhere !

    I just watched Ordinary Adventures and Provost Park Pass' video of this tour, and their tour was insanely different than yours. They got everything. But they had a different guide. Their guide was insanely good. Super enthusiastic and super into the whole thing. I'm glad they made it right though. I think the key is the guide. Don't they control the whole tour? That's what I've gathered from other videos. Maybe Universal should layout an actual itinerary for guides, because people are getting a mixed bag. I would think that would be an obvious business practice, but who knows. Weird, but glad it turned out awesome for you!

    • @TheDailyWoo
      @TheDailyWoo  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      My tour was a normal guests experience not one offered by universal to influencers . Obviously when that happens they will go the extra mile to make sure it’s perfect

    • @zenmaster9195
      @zenmaster9195 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @TheDailyWoo Ah, that's right. They did say they were invited out. But still, $500? They should be offering their (Ordinary Adventures and PPP) tour to everyone. If they're going to advertise it like that on TH-cam, then that should be the standard. Those kind of videos work! I was looking at the package right after I saw their videos 😆
