I bought the 5000 a month ago and the family loves it so I had to get another. Went to Academy Sports and ended up leaving with the 7000 for $20 +/- more . I'm disappointed for several reasons. The 5000 is brighter, lighter, and has the easy find glow ring. Glad I kept the receipt and packaging!
Hey MM, Excellent demo and review. You convinced me and I just ordered me two of them. Thanks for your detailed review and explanation of this great product. I like how you showed the performance in all modes of the flashlight, the power bank feature, the recharge port, and even how to change the battery when it comes time. Can't wait to see the rest of your channel and pick up great tips and recommendations from you. Great work, really enjoyed your discussion and examples of how this product is so useful. Hope your 2023 is going well. Health and happiness to you and your family! God bless, my friend. fcasillas
Thanks for your video Matthew! I bought the 2000 today and your video showed me how to remove the battery and disc. I couldnt find detailed instructions with the flashlight or on their website either. Seems to be a solid product at this point, however, instructions leave you in the dark.
I also want to thank you for showing how to open the battery compartment. No instructions came with the flashlight and I had trouble accessing their website.
You have been so thorough, I haven't bought a new torch for years, saw your video and bought the Nebo - I love it!!! Way more powerful than my old one, and it looks aesthetically really good..
Thank you for concise and clear directions. I purchased the Nebo 1000. Since it didn’t present with a detailed visual on its battery compartment, I appreciated your video.
Thanks for the review! I'm a trucker and use plenty of flash lights, but for home use there's no way any Nebo (I bought the Slyde) would be my go-to light, here's why: 1, The slide option is cool for use but it accidently opens easily and turns on and drains the batteries when it does. 2, This dude gobbles battery power and the worklight requires max power in the batteries. When the batteries start to drain, the worklight will fail yet the flashlight works fine. That means you need to toss perfectly good batteries in order to get the worklight to function. Please test that? 3, Nebo will not repair / replace your light unless you prove purchase and it's within their warranty. I will never buy another light from Nebo because they do not stand behind their products. Lousy customer support and much better choices are available.
Thank you so much. I could not figure out how to access the battery compartment for love nor money. Nowhere in the instructions is this mentioned. I have a 2000 which works just like the one you are reviewing. Thanks again
I have their older 5000 DaVinci like you have and have the newer 5000 DaVinci with the checked anti slip grip barrel. The newer one has a better clicking tailswitch. Both have good bright LED,.but lousy focus zoom feature. Thr older DaVinci has a very tiny loop lanyard hole so it comes with a thin, nylon wrist strap. The newer DaVinci has larger lanyard hole but still using the very thin lanyard wrist strap so I pulled a thicker paracord through it and wrapped it around the wrist strap and knotted around the wrist loop so it reinforced the thin wrist strap so it won't snap off. It's a good flood light. Not a "thrower" to shoot a focus laser like light down 5 blocks.
5k lumens at only 192 meters? That's a no go for me 🤔 That is too much of a flood light for me but it looks nice and you did a great review of it. Thanks
You can use two 21700 batteries with some consideration: -total lenght limit according the original is 5.7” -polarity protection extending the lenght but it can be useful :), or change them with care! I found the product on NEBOs US domain, wich is out of touch from EU (-GDPR issues?): DAVINCI 5000 - Dual 21700 Rechargeable Battery (wrapped in a single sleeve) Total Voltage: 7.4V!!! - you also get if you simply put 2pc of 21700 (3,7V) in series to the tube Capacity: 9000 mAh Recharge time: 5-20 hours, depending on output of USB Compatible with Davinci 5000 and Davinci 5000L Weight: 0.32 lb. Length: 5.7”
Do you think you can use two normal 21700 batteries end to end instead of the proprietary Nebo battery incase you cant find a backup or something happens to the original?

@@matthewmeltonTEAMMELTONFISHING No, thank you. I couldn’t figure out how to correctly unscrew the flashlight and remove the plastic piece. Not everyone knows how to properly explain things so people can understand. You have that skill. 👍
Excellent video. The so-called user's manual that comes with the flashlight doesn't say anything about how to access the battery and remove the plastic disc. I also want to point out to people where this flashlight is made...China. Anyone who whines about cheap junk being made in China needs to 1) acknowledge that these Nebo flashlights are very well made, 2) not buy one if you truly do not want to support trade with China, and 3) try to find one of equal quality made in the USA (good luck).
Thanks for watching! Yeah I wish NEBO was made in the USA but they've gotta keep their prices down so I get it. I think the quality is great on these lights and I've never had a problem with them. Please Like and Sub I need all the help I can get. Lol
I've got a davinci 1000, best flashlight I've ever had, bought one for my wife and the charging port was misaligned, had to exchange it for another one, that one seems good. I also got this flashlight, the davinci 5000, the first one just flat out wouldn't work, wouldn't turn on no matter what I did. I exchanged it as well and the replacement turns on and works fine but the led is misaligned inside the flashlight, causing the edges of the beam to have all sorts of artifacting, I'll be exchanging it again, because I feel like if I can just get a good one I'll be set. So with all that said I'd have to say that some of them are well made, some aren't. They have bad quality control.
The part I hate about the NEBO line of flashlights is that they never really light as long as they are rated. I look forward to go throughout the light and perform some surgery and increase the light time on output. Good day fella.
I am on my 3rd one…. I love them…. BUT all 3 stopped charging. It is not the batteries it is the port you plug into that is falling apart. I have used all 3 of mine daily and all 3 charging ports stopped working at about tbe 1 year date. I love them, but will not be buying another one…
Thanks, I appreciate it! I don't remember where I got it from. I have had it for years now. It's was a puzzle that I glued together. Thanks for watching! Please like and subscribe.
@@matthewmeltonTEAMMELTONFISHINGThat's the main problem with Nebo's proprietary batteries. They won't charge in my battery charger, and other 18650s (I have the Davinci 1000) just don't work. They're all too short by a slight bit. If the actual charging port on the flashlight, aka the only way to charge your battery, goes out, you're SOL and out of a flashlight.
Neither port will charge on mine after ther first year of use. I love tbese flashlights but after buying 3 of the and all 3 stopped charging after about 1 years use…. Sadly I will not be buying another one. Ugh
