This is paste the wall wallpaper mate. No need for soaking time so it shouldn't stretch. As stated in video if it does run off with you match the paper at eye level. Its about illusions really. 👍🏻
@@spinx1200 exactly .... it’s a paste the wall wallpaper !. It won’t stretch if hung correctly , but you will always get the risk of stretch if you paste the paper , cos in most cases , the paper is made up of a single layer of paper as opposed to the duplex papers so soaking the back with paste before it even gets to the wall is a risk
@@PaintingandDecorating I understand what you’re saying but generally speaking a paste the wall wallpaper is made up of a single layer of paper as opposed to the traditional duplex papers , therefore wetting the back will stretch it easily .... that’s all I meant ! I know you can paste it if you really want to , but why would you when you can roll paste on the wall in a fraction of the time ..... real world decorating!
@@stephenevans1833 I find it a lot cleaner working with paste on the paper.. also the paper does not stretch like normal paper.. otherwise it would expand on the wall and that's all wrong.
A decent paper to work with there mate. Nice 1, great work as always. Oh and spatulas suck. Ok for nice flat surfaces but as you said they can scratch the surface.theyre not for me.. 👍🏻👍🏻
Didn’t explain that wall surface texture nor why you pasted paper not wall it said paste the wall on the roll. I know but others might not. Check spencer colgan for using spatchelors some have rubber edges if your careful on the right paper it’s fine. ‘These other decorators’ is not nice to say not all of us are as good as you stringer.
I did say I'm not to sure about spatchelers... because I belive the brush has a softer touch.. agreed some papers are tough but I'm just worried they may scuff the finish on some papers.. may be I'm too fussy.. but your right will not bring up other decorators again.. no disrespecte to anyone who goes one.. it's all about the finish.. thanks
Another Great video mate top notch keep them coming 👍
Thank you.
You make that look very easy. Lovely job. Whenever I try to trim paper like that it always tears. I obviously don't have the right technique...
Thank you.
that's a lot lovely job, I always have trouble with the paper stretching, would you recommend left & right for all papers?

Thank you and yes always side to side makes it faster pushing air from the back of the paper.

Thank you
I love the ceiling. Is that wallpaper?
Yes wallpaper on ceiling... thanks
Perfect lines but why did you paste the paper, when it was a ‘paste the wall’ wallpaper . It’ll never stretch if it’s hung dry
How can it be hung dry if I've pasted it. 😅
@@PaintingandDecorating because it’s a paste the wall wallpaper . It shouldn’t have been pasted !!!
@@stephenevans1833 paste.. no soaking time just hang.. no problem.... personally I find it a lot better.
