    This had become one of my favourite and most watched channels on TH-cam. Thanks Gents.

    I have to tape off the stringers I paint as most are very dark yellowed and this technique shows the edge, it's OK for a freshener though.

    Masking tape saves you SO much time and fuss if you do it properly 👍🏻

    Did you vacuum first? Nothing worse than a brush full of carpet fibres and all manner of contamination dragged into the finish. Tape for me. Cleaner finish.

    • @PaintingandDecorating
      @PaintingandDecorating  ปีที่แล้ว

      Always vacuum and run some sandpaper just round the edge, to get rid of any carpet fluf.. no problem.. never use tape 99% of the time.

    • @PaintingandDecorating
      @PaintingandDecorating  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, keep temperature down work fast, no problems. Sometimes thin when required. Thanks

    Hmmm trouble is Dulux trade satinwood is a nice finish but will be yellowed in a matter of months, i would not use on any of my customers premises.

    • @PaintingandDecorating
      @PaintingandDecorating  ปีที่แล้ว

      It won't yellow in 6 months takes a lot longer than oil gloss to yellow.. and if enough natural light usually won't yellow.. thanks

    White on white, what about an existing saturated colour?

    • @PaintingandDecorating
      @PaintingandDecorating  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Same principle really all depends on the carpet. 9 out of ten times no tape needed..
