There's always been a rivalry between Newcastle under Lyme & Stoke on Trent based Stokies too. Often resulting in fighting (in the past) between SOT & NUL Stoke fans, I believe. The old Victoria Ground was surrounded by side streets (where I grew up). Campbell Road. Lonsdale Street. St Peters Church Cemetery & Glebe Street. Kings Hall car park. This is where the ambushes took place, apparently. Stoke have often been heavily outnumbered away but usually stood their ground, so I've been told. A relatively small but very dangerous firm. Especially on Away Days, allegedly.
During the 90's Stoke were the only mob to proper bring it to Wolves at Molineux. Others came and either made half-hearted attempts or came seriously unstuck but not Stoke, they came into town early and with intent. They also had a mob of Dundee with them.... Wolves would often return the favour at stoke. Great memories and much respect from a long retired wolves lad
Back in the 70s Wolves had some serious battles with Stoke, Wolves were in the Boothen in 1975 season down one side, 4 Stoke fans were stabbed. Knives is for cowards BTW. Then around 1979-80 a serious 30 on 30 punch up in the Boothen Paddock....mentioned in N40 book I think. Went on for ages with neither side giving any ground. In the 90s, as poster above says, Stoke brought it to Wolves 3 seasons running, in town with 200 lads at 10am! Whilst the Wolves lot were still in their beds. This was the N40 at their best, Wolves also took it Stoke 2-3 times at their place, long history between them when it was a propa Staffs derby. Over the years, a dedicated away pub has been made for away fans in what is a more civilised town centre, but Stoke really were the only ones I remember to stay in town for hours and not a fly through claim, back in the 90s. Respect!
When my close friend John MALBON from Stoke died in 2006. When Stoke played Wolves at Stoke , the Wolves fans were singing ‘ YOURE Nowt without The MALBON ‘

My son a Blackburn fan got talking to a guy in the gym with a N40 tattoo. He invited him down to Stoke next time the two teams played at the new stadium. I took him and dropped him off at a pub in Heron's Cross filled with N40 crew. He had his rovers shirt on and had no trouble, probably because he knew one of them. The pub landlord had a minibus and ferried the lot down to the Brittannia, where I was relieved to meet my lad. We watched the match from the away section, rovers got stuffed and someone died in the concourse by deliberately heading a metal litter bin, honest. VIOLENCE ONLY BREEDS VIOLENCE *** First of all and very importantly, I strongly condone and deplore all acts of football violence or any violence as ‘violence only breeds violence’. I have seen far too much of it, and I am ashamed and regret many things I committed during my violent days as an ex-football hooligan. Having trained for many years at Martial Arts (Karate, Judo, Kick Boxing) I abused them all, because they are only meant to be applied in Self-Defence, and not for provoking someone to have a fight just to see how good you really are. I have been involved in some of the nastiest violent fights in and outside football grounds and nightclubs for over 25 years with most notorious football hooligan firms around the United Kingdom. I’ve had sharp coins, knives, darts, bricks, bottles, plastic seats, hot cups of tea, fireworks, flares, beer, full cans of fizzy drink; Molotov petrol cocktails, dog faeces, urine, all been thrown at me. I’ve had pepper spray in my face; loaded shotguns in my face on several occasions, and many irate and drunken night-club revellers makings death threats to me for many years. I’ve also, had a loaded magnum 45 revolver pointed at my head; stabbed and threatened with axes, hammers, baseball bats and machetes too many times. They say the older you get the more mature and wiser you become. I thank GOD and give HIM all the GLORY for HIS great grace and power to save me, because I would have died many times over. I thank GOD that I am so blessed to be alive for I would be dead, and long time buried if it wasn’t for HIS unconditional love, grace, and mercy. I can boldly say, “I am a miracle of HIS tender mercies.” They say the older you get the wiser and mature you become! I am so glad I wised up by GOD’S grace, and repented and returned back to GOD to serve HIM as my LORD and personal SAVIOUR. If you reading this message and are still hooked on violence, and still involved in being part of a football firm - let me please give you some good advice, get out while you can! For no one ever really wins in the end because the real true mark of any man is being able to swallow his pride and ego, to walk away from any fight to live another day as the brevity of life is far too short my friend! If you really want to fight someone - then pick a fight with the devil - for he’s the one behind all acts of violence because his business is to kill, cheat, destroy and steal our soul from eternity. But GOD is a GOD of love and peace, and wills you to come to Him through HIS SON JESUS CHRIST and receive a brand new life! Choose you therefore this day whom you will serve GOD or Satan - for this is the day of your salvation - choose life, choose JESUS CHRIST!!! *** from 'BADGER' of the "BOLTS CREW" + "MIGs CREW". VIOLENCE ONLY BREEDS VIOLENCE
*** First of all and very importantly, I strongly condone and deplore all acts of football violence or any violence as ‘violence only breeds violence’. ***

Half of those pre dated the N40 and the footage is not Stoke. Never saw them do much at Goodison either, but at home any club should be game... even Millwall if they looked for you instead of waiting in pubs for you to call in 😂😂😂

Stoke didn't come to spurs not even 40 but had a good firm at home
And done nothing worth mentioning with anyone in the past 20 years, Forest Green of the Championship
😂
Totally agree, forest green would do them 😂
How old are you? 12? Nobody does anything anymore and I guarantee that will be the same for the club you support! (And no, gesturing with your arms does not count!). Why don't you come and visit Stoke and tell some of the 'lads' what you think and I'm pretty sure you'll change your mind! Or let me guess - you'll just hide behind a keyboard and post another comment 😂
@@MarkPurbrick-i1q forest green were too busy playing happy families with their nearest relatives to be bothered about that .
