- In this video we go back to 1990 and 2 very different football hooligan firms in the CCS Capital City Service Crew of Hibs and the Millwall Bushwackers. Supposed to be a friendly pre-season encounter, it turned out to be anything but, at least on the terraces and streets surrounding Millwalls iconic stadium the Den.

Millwall never seemed to know when other firms were coming - West Ham, Everton, Spurs, Hibs.... do they never check the fixtures and who they're playing?
Erm first off dummy no one would ever have thought hibs were coming it was a nothing ore season and we had heard of Aberdeen due to Europe but not hibs now as for west ham they had agreed to come and meet at Surrey docks where we were waiting they didn't show instead going to ours now don't take my word for it take the icfs word many times there main men have spoke about that day admitting it was nothing but empty pubs admitting they knew exactly where we were and were supposed to come to us as arranged, as for Everton 🤣🤣🤣 wtf are u on about you melt spurs appeared unexpectedly no big deal it happens it's called football firms sometimes believe it or not make it through the police lines we our firm that is are at one place waiting maybe a couple of hundred yards away and the opps show up running riot before we clash, spurs did well, everyone respect for turning up but don't get it twisted some estate lads and a few young ones of ours stopped them dead on our estate respect for turning up but don't try and make anything of it, anyone I mean anyone who came to ours up for it gets massive respect because 90% of well known firms didn't come to ours so when one did it was unexpected yet appreciated, you do realise everyone including us win some and lose some no big deal thing is we are a tiny miniscule team compared to spurs west ham Everton and yet we are up there with Britain's best ENOUGH SAID Stop being a melt mate. 🦁
I remember it well it was friday night didn't know Millwall was even playing them finished work and went my local at the time on the Woolworth road and heard that a load of sweatys had been up and down the Woolworth road and in the pubs in the afternoon saying they were looking for Millwall and we found out it was a per season game against Hibernian. They did turn up and they did make shore they were seen, although it was a game most people never know was happening Hibs were there and they made shore every one new they were there. And funnily enough I still to this day look out for there results on a Saturday.

Yea we got a shock it took hours as we had no mobiles then so it was all hands on deck running round mates houses finding out phone numbers so we could ring round houses of lads further out definitely a hectic day and always the first response was “ Fk off no they aren’t “ haha anyhow we finally got sorted and went looking for them which wasn’t hard lol none of us had really heard of hibs till that day and while they were wrapped up by the old bill we did our best to get to them we were seriously pissed off, yet for all that every one of us had nothing but respect for hibs and as you stated it wasn’t just you many of us looked out for there results afterwards, they came down up for it doing what many well known English firms were not too happy to do, since that day although I am rangers first for Scotland when it comes to firms it’s hibs we respect most, even over Aberdeen who due to them playing in Europe we had all heard off, I will say it again good fkn lads hibs are top quality.

We gave hibs massive respect as stated we didn’t expect hibs it was a nothing friendly, so our lads weren’t even there that said people started phoning house phones from phone boxes running round friends houses etc telling us ffs hibs have turned up and are up for it, we all started to make our way down got together and went to claim back what was our haha 😂 we took it too hibs at every opportunity they were wrapped up tight by old bill but we managed a few punches here and there, nothing massive but we were the ones on the offensive not hibs not after we got organised that said hibs came down and we’re up for it getting serious respect from us, good lads hibs are.

They caught Millwall off guard early doors, smashing up a couple of empty wall pubs and beating up old men. When wall got organised, they destroyed them. I remember some of their lot saying they had never been so frightened, especially after the game. Pathetic, trying to claim a result.
That wasn't that case in the ground, just before KO, when they brought down the railings separating the two sets of fans and set about the Millwall fans.

Absolutes bollox. I don’t think there were even 500 of them in total in the ground. I was in the Halfway and nothing whatsoever happened in the ground, certainly no fencing/ barriers torn down. They got absolutely annihilated afterwards.

As a Scot who lived in Peckham SE London at the time I find it funny that Wall said they didn’t know CCS were coming.

They come down and smashed the Crown & Anchor up with a couple blokes inside. We got a call as we were in another pub, not for the football, just a drink. A dozen of us went to the Anchor and they had gone. We walked around the back streets and found 2 of their coaches which then had the windows put in. That's about all I remember of that day and we did not even bother waiting for after the game, think a rave might of been on at the Tavern
The wee bridge leading to Easter road was always tasty. Celtic brought big numbers , but the Hibees were always up for it.

All I can say is Celtic have always taken a big support to Easter road and Tynecastle and tbh both of the Edinburgh
teams haven't been able to fill their ground. I have never saw Celtic fans attacked but if they were there would be retaliation and there's nothing to fear from either hibs fans or fartz fans. Go and support your team because of the football ffs.

So......before mobiles and internet, 500 were meant to get last minute flights cars and trains after their buses were cancelled. Probably around 10pm the previous night. What a load of shite.

You must not be a real hooligan. In those old days we Bradford would not ring up firms to inform them we are coming. You either turn out or don't, no excuses on getting done. I went to Millwall in the early eighties when I was living in blackstoke Rd near arsenal. I'm sure it would have. The Scottish teams, have always travelled to England when playing friendlies. Hearts and Hibs turned up en masse at Newcastle in the 70s for friendlies, Aberdeen and St Mirren turned up for friendlies at Hartlepool and Darlington, there was bother at them all, and the hooligans of all those clubs would have been prepared for them to turn up, even if on occasion they may not have turned up in big numbers. Millwall of all clubs wouldn't make the mistake of thinking Hibs wouldn't turn up on a Summers evening in London, even if it was just exiles based in London

Have to hand it to the HIBS CCS, literally going into the Lion's den mob handed and turning over the Millwall on their own turf. They probably weren't so keen on the Watneys' ale served in the local boozers and smashed them up as they much preferred the stronger McEwan's export lager. Not only giving the Millwall a tonking, but turning their motors on their roofs in the process. Reputations counted for nothing with this 'Game' crew. The congratulatory notice in The Times from the ICF the High Priests of football crews was also a nice touch given they recognise a true fighting squad when they see it.

I was there that Friday night and no way was there 500 hibs. Smashing a few windows of a couple of pubs with no firm in them doesn't get you brownie points. People love to think millwall got turned over that night. Sorry to disappoint you, it never happened. Before the game I witnessed approximately 30 hibs fans trying to get into the ground at the Ilderton Road end and were getting battered by millwall. The funny thing is they were wearing tops saying these colours don't run. They don't tell you that part of the story. Muggy firm that have to use syringes filled with fake blood to run their rivals. Toughest???😂 i was a cop in Glasgow, from 1985 to 2003. Hibs were never a force when they came to town..Rangers ran them ragged numerous times. They weren’t rated as a top crew. Hearts, Aberdeen and even Motherwell were considered better lads.
