It's depends on your corporate architecture, tunnel2.0 for road warriors , tunnel 1.0 or tunnel with local proxy when inside the corporate trusted network, this applicable for vpn users as well.

How we can identify that tunnel is up and working in Zscaler ZIA.
You can look at the tunnel logs under web insights. Also tunnel status at your source end.
